Had a roast chicken dinner.was ok but yorkshire pudding was burnt so we're the 3 very tiny roast potatoes.not enough veg.about 2 tablespoons of cauliflower 1 quarter of a sliced carrot and about 2 tablespoons of savoy cabbage.chicken was large so maybe less chicken and more veg would have been better.red wine lovely but the vodka and cokes tasted funny that my daughter had also told them when ordering 2 white wine spritzers that lemonade was wanted not soda, but they had soda in them which tasted weird.the lad replaced them but it still tasted funny.dont think we will be going again.sorry

We ate lunch here and visited the farm shop twice. Lunch was really nice, they had 2 fires on and it was alittle cold but nothing major. I had a beef sandwich and my husband had a hunters chicken panini, both tasty and big portions. Staff were nice. Farm shop has a great selection of meats, 5 for £20 on alot of them which is really good. Had a couple bits already that we bought and it was all great. Will definitely return, would visit more often but we live 2 hours away!

This is the best Greggs ever! The one in March is the Greggs to go to. 🙂🙂 the staff are so friendly here! The tables are always spotless! They are always cleaned as soon as someone has finished at their table. We travel up from Peterborough and I'm Autistic and will only eat the kids cheese sandwiches and they are always available in this Greggs. I can only eat the soft food because I have poorly teeth. I also love the Tottenham Cake because it's soft food. Also the icing is delicious! The Peterborough Greggs does not have it. Which is one of the many reasons we travel up to March. Thank you to all the staff at Greggs in March! Wonderful and Polite every time we come in! 🙂🙂 Kind Regards. Ashley 🙂

Curry tasted of smoke, plenty of meat although not entirely sure it was actual meat, needs more veg. Rice was ok.

Owner is passive aggressive , rude and arrogant. Totally not suited to running a local hostelry . No wonder the place is virtually empty even on a Saturday night . We ended up taking our groups business back to March as he refused to serve food clearly listed on the menu and ordered by his solitary bar person ( who by the way was very friendly and deserves a medal for working for Paul). It’s everyone else’s fault not his !!! Different to the lovely John, his close friend who was holding the reins the last time we visited . Sadly I fear the Anchors days under Paul’s stewardship are numbered. By the way he was the one who repeatedly encouraged us to cancel our groups food order !! Unbelievably rude saying things such as “ do I look like I want to be making mash potatoes at this time of night “ we went back to March and had a lovely welcome and meal at The Griffin where our custom was valued .

Visited Café X mid-morning on 09/09/2020. Café have a good Covid-19 protection system in place whereby you order at the main entrance window, & your food is handed out another window. The lady who served us was also friendly and helpful. I order the SMALL breakfast, that as you can see on the menu is £7.00. Plastic cutlery. Coffee is disappointing Instant Coffee, although it is advertised as Instant. The toast had no flavour whatsoever and tasted like cheap nasty budget wholemeal bread. It really was rank. Possibly reheated. Not enough butter either. The egg wasn't runny, it looked like it had been flipped over or possibly even reheated, it was fairly tough. The bacon was unsmoked and although it was nice and thick, it was fairly fatty and tasted cheap quality / greasy. The hash brown and black pudding, yeah OK I guess, but I have had way better. Now, I could forgive all this if the price reflected the quality of the product. But it doesn't. Much too expensive for poor quality food. If this has cost me £4.00 I probably wouldn't quibble as the cost and quality would match somewhat. We won't be eating here again, we had slightly dicky stomachs afterwards too. It is a shame, as if you bought better quality produce, got a far better chef, kept the prices the same and made the presentation better, you would have a roaring repeat customer base given you are situated on the A47. But im sorry, as you are, it's far too disappointing.

Tonight we attempted to order a pizza deal for our family. Pizza deal 1, for four pizzas The calculations were incorrect, therefore I phoned back to question it. I was told that it was because the deal was for 3 toppings only, which was absolutely fine and i amended accordingly. The price was still wrong, despite already phoning. so I phoned back, the response I received was beyond rude, commenting "are you taking the p##s ?" He proceeded to ban us from ordering again in the future. This would have been a simple task to edit the order to ensure we were being charged correctly. This was unbelievable and frankly The customer service was shocking!! The incompetence of some simple manners and mathematics is beyond believable!!!!!
