Called in and found a clean table straight away and ordered via the app Drinks arrived near enough straight away with food in about 10 minutes. Piping hot and very tasty for both meals! The pub itself self is becoming very tired and needs a good revamp!

Ordered 2 traditional breakfasts at the bar , order taken quickly and we only waited about 5 minutes so not bad , but the food was not very nice the only hot item on the plate was the fried egg which looked like it had been chucked onto the plate , absolutely no presentation the hash browns cold tasted like cardboard bacon cold beans again cold went up to the bar to complaine but no-one around would definitely not recommend eating here.

Visited The Wheatsheaf a few years ago and it was without doubt the grimmest pub we'd ever been in. 'Rough' wouldn't have done it justice. It was like a prison visit only with more danger. Went back to see if anything had changed. Fortunately, it had. Still far from the greatest Wetherspoons, the pub had cleaned up it's act and the lunch we had was enjoyable, hot and eaten hungrily. Where once stood scowling staff who looked like they wanted to do physical harm to the punters; our server was happy, smiley and most helpful. The visit was average and we left reasonably cheery rather than frightened for our lives.

Went on Curry night as have been to Wetherspoons before in other parts of the country and enjoyed very much. The Wetherspoons in Wisbech is not good. Very rowdy clientele. Slow and sultry bar staff. Our curries were cold and unappetising. Onion bajis too spicy and under cooked. The Nan breads were hard and cold. Truly a horrible experience. We had eaten in the March branch a few days before which was very good. Will not be going to Wisbech branch again.

We visited the Wheatsheaf Inn on a Sarurday morning after running Wisbech Parkrun as it was recommended by the Parkrun marshals as a good place for a post-run drink/breakfast. As we had a dog with us, we checked the website first and, as nothing was stated, we assumed that dogs were allowed in the outdoor seating area. When we arrived, there was a sigh stating 'assistance dogs only' but as the outdoor area was empty, and there was a table right near the gate, we thought we would be ok with one very well-behaved dog. We ordered our food on the app. This was brought out to us quite quickly, the drinks by a young girl who looked at the dog but didn't comment, and the food by a man who didn't smile and who mumbled and slammed down our food. He then said "it's assistance dogs only" and left. After a few minutes he returned and said our dog would have to leave. Whilst we understand that this was the 'rule', as the outdoor area was practically empty and our dog was sitting quietly, we really didn't see the issue. The way that it was dealt with ruined our morning and left us all feeling disgruntled. I guess some people just like to be rude & unpleasant, but maybe the hospitality sector is not the place for them? We will certainly return to Wisbech Parkrun but WILL NOT return to the Wheatsheaf.

We went for dinner as it’s local and you know what there is to choose from. Ordered on the app and the drinks arrived within 5 minutes. Young waitress was very polite and was the same person who had just wiped all the table down prior to us sitting at it. Food came approximately 10 minutes after ordering and was piping hot and a good plate full. We even ordered desserts which were lovely too. Nice atmosphere in the place and not noisy would definitely recommend a Monday trip.

Called in for a meal whilst visiting Wisbech, noticed straightaway dirty table tops and what seemed regulars shouting in groups being very loud. Ordered food and drinks but each meal was unavailable, they seemed very understaffed so obviously couldn't be botheredso do food just wanted to keep their regulars watered probably why they were all so noisy. Left to find food and drink elsewhere, not one of Weatherspoons best establishments.

Shocking food, shocking service. The worst spoons in the UK I'd say. Just spent £40 for 2 cold undercooked gourmet burgers and 2 barely warm Christmas dinners that didn't even taste like turkey.. Both burgers were missing stuff too. Felt too embarrassed to complain as loads of other people were moaning at the service plus we had already waited a hour and the staff really looked like they didn't care anyway.

My wife and I regularly visit Spoons in Peterborough, Kings Lynn, Dereham and Wisbech. This was by far the worst meal we have had. Arrived at 3.50 on Tuesday 7th Dec. Ordered at bar 2 Steak and Kidney puddings with mash peas and gravy. Food arrived within 20 mins. The peas were rock hard. The mash had a skin on it and was dried up at one end. The puddings had been microwaved for far too long and the bottom pastry was very tough and unedible. The kidney...my wife had none in hers, mine had 3 pieces 1 of which was the bit you cut out and throw away. 2 pieces of my meat was sinew and had to leave. The gravy did not look fresh and was lumpy. I would not have been surprised if the whole meal had been placed on the plate cold then microwaved. We had the same meal in Peterborough 2 weeks ago and it was excellent. No staff member came around to ask if our meal was ok. The male and female toilets upstairs were both cold, Spoons can do a lot better than this but we will not eat at this particulary pub again. Very dissapointing.

We stopped by wheatsheaf Inn last night with daughter and boyfriend. We each had something different, Curry had four pieces of Chicken in. Scampi I had 4 pieces and about 12 chips, husband had gammon and the same amount of chips daughter had burger and chips all freezing cold even though some of the plates were hot, Gammon had that much fat that only half was edible. Peas were I am sure they were still frozen, they we're thar coldDaughter took one bite of burger and promptly pushed it aside, Rice with curry was one lump. I then decided to be rash and try chocolate cake it had been microwaved until it was so hard I couldn't eat it. I willnsay the ice-cream was nice but then again all they had to do was scoop it out , I knew I was pretty safe with that. It wasn't an expensive meal cost wise but it was a very expensive waste.

We was seated quite quickly by a manager witch was great considering how busy they were, although when food arrived to the table 2 chillies that we ordered were burnt and crispy and the rice was a solid lump on the plate with no moisture in at all, then we proceeded to order deserts that took nearly half an hour to come to the table and the ice cream had melted to the extent it was just cream, then we was offered free ice cream to make up for it that was then served to us in hot bowls and was more melted than the first round, I understand times are hard and things are harder now, because I work in this industry myself but there was no communication between staff and I didn’t see one friendly smile from any member off staff. The guy behind the bar with a pink Mohawk was cussing and swearing out loud baring in mind I was with my 4 year old daughter who could hear the whole thing. All in all disgraceful service, food and aroma in there building. Safe to say I will never dine out here again, extremely disappointed!.

I then waited another 15 mins for my breakfast to arrive which had beans on. I was then told they would remake me my food. I waited another 15 mins with nothing. My husband and I called in to The Wheatsheaf Inn as we had visited the Armed Forces Day in Market Square and wanted to grab a bite to eat. The place was busy but not full and we found a table without too much trouble. We chose what we wanted to have and my husband went to the bar to order. He was at the bar for 15 minutes, during which time he was repeatedly ignored by the staff (the bar area was NOT busy at this time); they would ask who's next and even on one occasion when they were right in front of him, they moved away as he started to speak and served someone who had just arrived. This happened four or five times before he gave up and we left without ordering. I am a fan of Wetherspoons and have had past good experiences at other branches, which is why I had suggested this particular place to eat. However, this was appalling and we will not be going back. If I could have given them 0 on the ratings I would have done (especially food as we didn't even get to eat there!!), but sadly this is not an option.

Had a great value for money meal here just as we was passing through Wisbech. Went on the chicken club night, both meals were very fast and tasty. Perfect for mid week dinner.

Excellent entertainment from the naked lady running around outside. Made my Empire State burger and pint of Shipyard APA all the more enjoyable.

Went with family, including my very elderly mother, who confused her order. The staff changed her meal for what she wanted and were absolutely delightful, despite being very busy. The food was good and beer great- but the staff really made the evening.

Booked for 10 people to eat on Saturday as a birthday celebration, all ordered in couples and meals came one after the other so we all ate together which was good. Food was good quality and well cooked, bar service for drinks was a bit slow but it was quite busy at the time. We did have a birthday cake which we brought in ourselves and luckily we spotted a staff member with it with the candles lit presenting it to another table so we had to go over and say sorry but thats our cake which ruined the surprise. But overall we all had a lovely time. Place was also nice and clean and collection of plates ect after the meal was done quickly and efficiently.

Good place for a cheap breakfast, same as all other Wetherspoons but I guess that's why you go! Friendly staff

Wetherspoons is good, you can't deny it. It's lunchtime and it's crowded. In places it's grimy and tired. Sometimes the tables are not cleared quickly and occasionally they maybe a bit sticky! The customer base is a real mix, hard core all day drinkers, couples, groups of friends, families with kids and people out for their lunch break.Half of the one big L shaped room is raised, meaning climbing three stairs, this is seen by the customers as the dining/family area, not brilliant if you're in a wheelchair. The rest of the room is on the level and seems to cater for mostly drinkers, however this is not a rule and you can eat anywhere as there are plenty of tables and chairs in both areas. The menu is comprehensive with snacks and main meals all at very competitive prices. The food is good, seemingly freshly prepared and brought to your table by friendly and efficient waiting staff. Now the best bit... The Beers! On my visit there were ten hand pumps, each with a Real Ale. All perfectly kept and poured without a Sparkler in sight, at prices two thirds those of all the other pubs! Of course larger is also available.Today's bill, under ten quid for a well filled tuna baguette with salad, a smoked salmon with cream cheese and rocket bagel, a pint of Real Ale and a Coke. It's amazing that other pubs and restaurants manage to survive with competition at this level of quality, value and service. Word of caution, my visit was at lunchtime, at night I believe it's popular with those out on the town, all making the most of the cheap drinks. I'm told it's 'lively' and noisy, but don't quote me on that as I've not been. I have no hesitation in recommending this ( and all other ) Wetherspoons

My wife and I visited this pub for dinner. The meals were delivered quickly and as ordered (no mistakes). I had the battered fish, which was one of the nicest fish I have had for a long while. the chips were also cooked nicely, without the overwhelming oil test that is the usual.Th cost is very good, and the beers are about half the cost of London - so great place to try a variety of beers!

I'm beyond annoyed with spoons now I go in every few months for food every time they get more order wrong!!! No sauce I get sauce, medium rare you get well done, ask for no salad with chips get salad with no chips, everything's always burn you don't get check backs to even tell them any problems and they don't ask of your meal was okay when talking your plates 30 mins plus after finishing your meal seriously think it's a joke

Living relatively close by, it seemed obvious to try this restaurant, and see how it compared to others in the group. As always, up to standard.

I belong to a Group of friends numbering over 100, and we call ourselves "Friends of the Fens."Every Saturday morning around 10:00am, up to 25 of us meet for 'brunch' at 'Spoons,' and we depart around 12:30pm.There's an extensive menu, which is very reasonably priced; the staff are excellent, and the Manager is great fun too!Having bought a modestly priced meal, you can continue to go back for coffee, time after time, although you have to pay for tea, at £1:10p.On a Tuesday night, they have a "Steak Night," and you need to be there before 7:30pm, or you might not get a seat!! Wetherspoons - I believe - have a Steak Night in all of their restaurants throughout the country. It's licensed too, so those who fancy a beer or a bottle of wine, there's a good choice. There's a huge public car park directly opposite, so it's not far to walk once you've parked the car.I'd recommend 'Soons' to anyone

Just want to say that I visited here a few weeks ago with my daughter and what an amazing place, the service was excellent and the manager (Martin I think he said his name was) was so welcoming. The food was really good too and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself. I will definantly recommend to friends and family and will be returning. You guys are doing a great job, keep it up

Visited Café X mid-morning on 09/09/2020. Café have a good Covid-19 protection system in place whereby you order at the main entrance window, & your food is handed out another window. The lady who served us was also friendly and helpful. I order the SMALL breakfast, that as you can see on the menu is £7.00. Plastic cutlery. Coffee is disappointing Instant Coffee, although it is advertised as Instant. The toast had no flavour whatsoever and tasted like cheap nasty budget wholemeal bread. It really was rank. Possibly reheated. Not enough butter either. The egg wasn't runny, it looked like it had been flipped over or possibly even reheated, it was fairly tough. The bacon was unsmoked and although it was nice and thick, it was fairly fatty and tasted cheap quality / greasy. The hash brown and black pudding, yeah OK I guess, but I have had way better. Now, I could forgive all this if the price reflected the quality of the product. But it doesn't. Much too expensive for poor quality food. If this has cost me £4.00 I probably wouldn't quibble as the cost and quality would match somewhat. We won't be eating here again, we had slightly dicky stomachs afterwards too. It is a shame, as if you bought better quality produce, got a far better chef, kept the prices the same and made the presentation better, you would have a roaring repeat customer base given you are situated on the A47. But im sorry, as you are, it's far too disappointing.
