Does this place ever open? As every time I go past its shut and it has no opening times on show. So don't waste your time going

i found the food was oily, it just wasn't to my taste, it seemed either the food hadn't had time to drain or the oil was old and needed changing or not hot enough when cooked and the food had absorbed the oil. all i could taste was oil so i didn't like the food, i have asked about and some people think the food is good and they liked it, so it could be personal choice.

I called here the other evening for some fish and chips. How disappointed was I the fish seemed under cooked. The chips were soggy and very grease. So i won't be rushing back unless it finds new owners or improves it's way of doing things.

Had some fish, chips and curry sauce. The appearance was insipid - no colour to either the chips or the fish. The batter was a very pale yellow/grey. Everything was undercooked and swimming in fat - we had to use a kitchen towel to mop it up. The curry sauce was gloopy with loads of thickener and was across between indian and chinese - curry with 5 spices added. That was just about edible but not what I was expecting from a chip shop and it didn't really go with the rest of it. I would not go again

This is one of the best fish and chip bars around. Everything is cooked to order, so it's a good idea to order then collect. You will not be disappointed, this is lovely fresh fish and chips. Also they are very competitively priced.

Phil and I went to the chippy to get some fish and chips. "2 cod and one portion of chips please". We waited a few minutes and left with freshly cooked fish. We drove to Coldham, and ate our tasty fish and chips. The cats liked the fish too.

Friday Bridge Fish Bar is operated by Portuguese guy, Fernando and his wife. Definitely the best fish meals in the area, although disappointed that they close around 8:30pm - even on a Saturday - but then, so do all the other similar places in the area.

Very pleased to say this chip shop is our local one. We are just a 10 minute walk down the road. We telephone our orders and they are always ready for collection with no fuss. They accept card payment which is a bonus for us. Menu is comprehensive and quality is good. I hate to admit this but I am fan of spam fritters which they do not do, to be fair maybe I am the only one that likes them. I do however like there battered burger very much. Certainly can recommend.

Hah! Finally we found it open! Everyone knows that it's a priority, when moving to a new area, to locate the best fish and chip shop. Often it's not the closest, and within a five minute drive there are at least five. This time, however, the Friday Bridge Fish Bar is just down the road, and it's wonderful. Everything is cooked fresh and telephone orders prevent a 10 minute wait staring at the walls. It's only open from Tuesday to Saturday and closing time is 8pm - and, although it's the only business in the entire road, it can be easy to miss, so slow down, something that no one likes to do in the country, and you'll spot it. Believe me, it's worth it.

Tucked away in Friday Bridge village is this very good Fish & Chip shop. Freshly cooked and good size portions are the norm

This is a hidden gem in the village of Friday Bridge, Cambridgeshire. (Between March & Wisbech). It is on the Main Road through the village, so it's easily located. The food is all freshly cooked to order, there is no food sat for hours in the range display case. Anything in there is pre-ordered food, awaiting collection. The owners are friendly & welcoming, and it is very good value for the amount & quality of the food. You will not be diasppointed if you pay a visit to this Fish & Chip shop.

Visited Café X mid-morning on 09/09/2020. Café have a good Covid-19 protection system in place whereby you order at the main entrance window, & your food is handed out another window. The lady who served us was also friendly and helpful. I order the SMALL breakfast, that as you can see on the menu is £7.00. Plastic cutlery. Coffee is disappointing Instant Coffee, although it is advertised as Instant. The toast had no flavour whatsoever and tasted like cheap nasty budget wholemeal bread. It really was rank. Possibly reheated. Not enough butter either. The egg wasn't runny, it looked like it had been flipped over or possibly even reheated, it was fairly tough. The bacon was unsmoked and although it was nice and thick, it was fairly fatty and tasted cheap quality / greasy. The hash brown and black pudding, yeah OK I guess, but I have had way better. Now, I could forgive all this if the price reflected the quality of the product. But it doesn't. Much too expensive for poor quality food. If this has cost me £4.00 I probably wouldn't quibble as the cost and quality would match somewhat. We won't be eating here again, we had slightly dicky stomachs afterwards too. It is a shame, as if you bought better quality produce, got a far better chef, kept the prices the same and made the presentation better, you would have a roaring repeat customer base given you are situated on the A47. But im sorry, as you are, it's far too disappointing.

Decided to have lunch at one of the local places we've never been. You wouldn't think much of it as building looks dated, however, we were astonished by the quality of food we had! And the service was so warm and cosy! Plus, they had 10%! Had very good time, would definitely say, food is one of the best in UK!
