The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Wasn't a bad meal when we travelled from Blackpool a few weeks ago

Hemos estado aquí antes y calificar la comida y el servicio muy alto. Ambos tuvimos las patatas fritas de sal de pimienta y disfrutamos de la comida. Puedo sugerir que un cuchillo de carne sería mejor, pero la comida era excelente y lleno de sabor. El servicio fue excelente y atento wass sentado en la entrada y el tiempo de espera justo.

I’m genuinely disappointed because I used to love this place and have been a regular customer 😭😭😭 their noodles are honestly so tasty. But today I found an insect in my food while eating 🤮it was really upsetting. But the young lady at the cashier was extremely apologetic, which I appreciated, but the restaurant still refused to give me a refund, saying it wasn’t part of their policy or something alongside those lines. Instead, they offered either to give me a new dish (which of course I refused!!) or a drink. I just took a bottle of water, grabbed my things, and left. No way I’m ordering from this branch again. Hygiene and proper handling of situations like this should be a priority and a refund should’ve been the bare minimum.

Have had a great meal from here this evening. If you have not tried dragon I yet highly recommend 👌 👍 👏

Geuss who's back back again Hello Everyone this is my first review of 2025 When did I go? I went on the 20 march 2025 What were staff like? The staff were super friendly and good with takes empty plates What was the food like? The food was amazing I recommend the chicken toast What facilities do they have? They have a lift a disabled toilet and a regular toilet How hygienic is it? It is very hygienic there is individual tongs in each dish How much does it cost? It depends how many people you book with but it is fairly priced Would I recommend? Definitely Will I come here again? ABSOLUTELY George The Traveller

First time trying this place and definitely do not regret it !!. The food was absolutely beautiful as being so new to Colchester was delighted to find such an amazing takeaway place so close by. Super clean,great friendly staff. Once again can't complement the food enough so fresh,hot and tasty will definitely be ordering again as such amazing price highly worth it !.

We have ordered here a couple of times now and both occasions we have had excellent meals. We have vegetarians in our family and we have been so impressed by variety of veggie options. This was a take away for a family meal and everyone individually said they were really happy with their food. Absolutely smashed it out the park! This will be our go-to Chinese going forward

All so nice great food nice hospitality and would come again and recommend it to anyone to give it a try

Lucky Star feels exactly like a high-quality Hong Kong-style restaurant, or cha chaan teng, was plucked from Hong Kong and dropped right in the middle of Brighton. They serve extremely delicious and authentic food for very good prices and the staff are friendly and accommodating too. The other day, I grabbed some delicious pork knuckle soup from them to go and was also given some authentic Sichuan maa laat chilli oil which really elevated the whole dish. Other than that, every other time I've had food from them, it was fantastic. I often find myself craving food from them and can't recommend them highly enough. 好鬼好食.

Food was a state, under cooked and bland. The people at the restaurant were rude.

Found on Tripadvisor and pre booked ahead of our visit while holidaying in area. The food was lovely. All 3 starters and mains were very tasty and looked amazing. The Green Thai curry was really good. Lovely atmosphere definitely visit again.

This place really goes above and beyond to STEAL YOUR MONEY. They took a deposit of £300, no service provided and will not issue my refund. I had a private event booked, confirmed and deposit paid for 09/12/2023. The restaurant stopped replying to all emails and phone calls from a week beforehand. This resulted in going down in person to sort out any issues. Turns out there had been closed for a while, Elaine (owner) and Tanvir (no clue what his role is) did not bother to communicate anything and had I not shown up prior I would have been standing in the street with 20+ guests. Did I mention they have stolen and refused to refund my £300 deposit??

Absolutely beautiful food from here can't recommend any higher , friendly service and always comes hot and on time

What an amazing Chinese restaurant. Delicious food, staff very friendly and a perfect little but glorious restaurant. Recommended to everyone.

Although the food and atmosphere is fairly good just a few points dropped for the following Set menu Please study as When you buy a set menu and they say prawn crackers with your soup you will.pay EXTRA for those The main course sauces can be very blank and watery The fried rice is NOT egg fried rice or even fried rice its strange A bottle of normal magners cider is £7.50 and all drinks are over priced expensive When they ask you would you like your tea and coffee now after finishing your meal these are also chargeable around £4 each! I feel It should be asked would you like to buy a tea or coffee now and possibly shown the menu with drinks prices Wendy is good at running the restaurant but can.be very snappy and loud with staff "kitchen NOW" we don't need to hear We spent over £200 which is actually my weekly wage so should have been a treat but the small additions sneaked in which came to nearly £40.00 left us feeling cold and ripped off We won't be returning or recommending
