Terrible food, forgot part of our order aswell.AVOID!

Went in for a takeaway yesterday whilst visiting the area before our cruise today what a gem of a little place . Katie the lovely lady working there was just so friendly and welcoming such a credit to your business . Food was delicious will visit again if we ever come back .

Orderd 5pm 30/12/23 Food was disgusting Chips barley cooked Chiw mein tasteless . Chicken ball batter was gooey and tasted funky. £20 wasted. Even our dog didnr likes any so says how bad it is. Avoid this place

Amazing food, fast and fresh at a good price

Standard of food has gone down hill over the last couple of years. Prob due to new ownership. Far more greasy than it used to be, quality and quantity of the meat has reduced and some items , Satay chicken skewers were nothing like proper satay sauce and were clearly prebought frozen things. Sign of the times I guess. Shame

Very disappointed we have been going to this take away for ages now, food was very poor and when I called they questioned me? As there as a few Chinese takeaways in hedge end you would of thought customer service would be better.

My best Chinese shop by far! Beans in black bean sauce is my favourite. I like spices and boy, they made it really spicy 🔥 so I am pleased !!!

This is our 'go to' Chinese in Hedge End. Always delicious, not too salty (some Chinese can be) and good pricing. Recommended.

Ordered chicken Hong Kong style which was nice. However the ribs were dry and tough and the chips tasted as if they had been reheated a number of times. This take away is a bit hit and miss in its standards, and I think next time I order Chinese take away I will give the Hong Kong garden a miss.

This is our number 1 Chinese food is always spot on never had any problems would recommend over any thing else in hedge end or delivery

I had duck with cashews..half the duck was the fat..who would eat duck fat not rendered..?. cashews were stale and soft. Not at all good and fairly bland..

We have been going here for a year and a half, and every meal we've had has been excellent! Wait times are usually small, portions generous and the menu is large :)

Uno de los mejores platos chinos para llevar de la zona. Tenemos dos comida china para llevar más cerca de nosotros, pero felizmente pasamos por delante de ellos para llegar a Hong Kong Garden. Excelente menú, la comida siempre sabe excelente y constantemente, nunca hemos tenido un mal pedido en los 3 años que llevamos aquí. Personal amable también. Mi única queja. . . a veces se necesitan algunas veces para comunicarse por teléfono para hacer un pedido, ¡pero eso se debe a que el teléfono suena constantemente con los pedidos que llegan! Prefiero eso que una comida para llevar que nadie llama.

One of the best Chinese takeaways in the area. We have two Chinese takeaways nearer to us but we happily drive past them to come to Hong Kong Garden. Excellent menu, food always taste superb and consitently so - we've never had a bad order in the 3 years of coming here. Friendly staff too. My only complaint... sometimes it takes a few times to get through on the phone to place an order but that's because the phone is constantly ringing with orders coming in! I'd rather that than a takeway that no one calls.

Not the best, but cheaper than same, as ever you get what you pay for.

Worst take away ever. Beef curry raw and tastless chips hard pancake roll soaking in oil

We decided to try to order for the first time last week and told they have no fresh chillis to put into a curry, Gave it a miss from a Real English speaking bod at the end of the phone!

I’ve ordered a few meal from here and I cannot say there is a single time I have not enjoyed it a lot

The Peking Chilli Sensation was excellent for flavor and value, I asked for It extra hot and extra garlic it was no problem well done very quick service.

Tuve un chow mein de carne. Salado, insípido insípido. La carne de vaca era delgada y gelatinosa. Mi marido tenía un plato de carne con arroz que tampoco era agradable. . Todos fueron a la papelera. Solíamos visitar este chino con regularidad, pero no volveremos de nuevo.

Used to enjoy meals here when last lived in Hedge End, so decided to go back now that we are back in Hedge End, what a mistake! The food was tasteless and slimey, we both had beef dishes and they ended up in the bin, absolutely disgusting! Can’t believe this is the same take away!

Great Christmas Eve takeaway. Quick friendly service despite being busy. All food cooked well, up to the usual standard.

Habíamos escuchado que el HKG estaba en alza nuevamente después de sus problemas recientes, así que regresamos para probarlos. As always another fantastic takeaway. Service is always so quick, food of excellent quality and I have never been disappointed. Always worth the quick drive into Hedge End as they don’t deliver.

Used to be really good, but now food far too salty to hide the tasteless meals. The staff have several times got my telephone order wrong and when I question it they argue and become rude. And several times I have witnessed the staff taking the orders with streaming colds, sneaking and coughing everywhere. I did mention that it is wrong for hygiene purposes and her health that she should be at home not serving food. I have stopped using the take away after 20 plus years.

What's going on. Use to he really good there we are regulars but last couple of months the food had been really bad have they changed their chef?? Will be finding a new one to go to now. Anybody have any recommendations??

We used to be regular customers. Last week (mid week) we ordered and received bland and tasteless food. It was horrible, we didn't eat it. We thought we'd give them one last try and ordered again tonight (Friday eve) thinking surely they will have their best chefs on. Our chicken was so undercooked it was dangerous. It was translucent white in middle and that gelatinous texture and the noodles tasted of nothing. We called to advise them of the chicken so others wouldn't get undercooked chicken (whilst we cooked ours on our hob) and they tried to row with us and say the pink in middle of chicken was due to food colouring. It was translucent white. Stay away. Save your money. We will

All fried food seems triple fried, all the same colour, and mushy, very salty too, staff are nice enough. They don't deliver like other Chinese takeaways. We will not go here again !!

I have been here around 5 times since moving to the area 3 months ago, and am yet to have a bad meal. Very quick turnaround if you order in shop and the food has been of good quality.

Consistently good food, recommend the sweet and sour Hong Kong style. Large portions we share 1 rice and 1 main between us. Service friendly efficient and food is ready quick.

I home here often with the kids and the food never disappoints, sometimes the food has a bit longer wait and lollies are provided for the kids. The whole family loves this takeaway especially the sweet and sour chicken balls!

Recientemente me pidieron un tome lejos de aquí como he hecho en muchas ocasiones antes. Fue terrible, sólo puedo describir como insípida glupe. Todo era gruesa y glupy y sin sabor, y el agradable sueño trás unos pelotas y amarga eran grasienta y recocido. Deposité todo, que no es como me encanta la comida china. Es una pena, pero creo que este establecimiento se ha convertido en la autocomplacencia y piensa que están dispuestos a pagar por basura se preocupan de plato. Lo siento no más, no utilizar nunca más llevar

When living in Hedge End, this was our favourite Chinese. Lovely food and very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend the Kung Po chicken.

I think this chinese has become complacent, and now serving glupe instead of authentic sauces. The ingredients taste tired, and they look it. You can always tell if the ingredients are tired when there is so much soy sauce in the dish to try and hide it. Won't be going there again, will drive to Fusion in Southampton every time. What a shame

Utilizamos regularmente durante años y la comida siempre es buena. Totalmente recomendado. También, recuerdo oyendo una conversación en el Butcher enfrente. Le dijeron que era la más limpia de cualquier cocina China en la zona de Southampton que los inspectores de seguridad alimentaria había visto. Bueno para escuchar.

One word HORRIFIC,went there last night 1st time and will be my last,all the chicken and meet was so hard I've got jaw ache this morning,STAY AWAY!!!!

Have used this venue for many years and always had great food and service. Recently have not had such a great experience. Last two occasions food not quite as good and then wrong dish given hope this was a minor blip. This aside still prefer this venue to others!

Popped into here for my fix of Chinese the other day and was met with the usual friendly staff at the counter. It was quite busy as it was a Friday night but the service was by no means compromised. The waiting time was 15-20 minutes which is actually very good compared to other local takeaways (won't mention any names). This is not the closest Chinese takeaway from me but the extra journey time is worth it. I live about 15 minutes away and I normally order by phone then collect it. The food is normally ready for me when I get there but on the rare occasion that it isn't it doesn't matter as it will be piping hot! Really enjoy their duck especially the one in plum sauce. The seaweed is also delicious. The only negative is that they don't deliver but can't really complain as I do enjoy a good chat with the ladies at the counter and the kids get a free lolly out of it too. Would 100% this takeaway and can't see myself not using it in the future.

Gone downhill. Children work in the kitchen and the meat is all like jelly, the vegetables dont taste fresh. It just comes in tubs from god knows where.

Moved here in August and have used this takeaway a couple of times. I would highly recommend it's a lovely takeaway with very friendly staff. The meals are also delicious best chinese I have had in a long time. Will be returning as a regular. I Tried a different takeaway on new years eve and wish I didn't! Thanks for a lovely meal everytime we return.

Just had my dinner and was enjoying it until I found a fly in the chicken chow mein, I do like like the food but it has put me off a bit

Popped in the other day on the way home and as this isn't our normal takeaway were slightly apprehensive at first but any worries we had were swiftly gone as we noticed the impeccable cleanliness and 5/5 rating from the EHO. The lady taking the order was friendly enough and the food didn't take long to arrive. We live a good 10 minutes away and it was still piping hot when we got home. Spare ribs were tasty as was the Singapore chow mein. The pancake roll looked a tad greasy and overlooked at first but actually tasted very good, really nice batter. All the other dishes were deemed a success and we'll be back again to sample some other the other dishes from the menu.

Ordered from here on a Friday evening; we bought a selection of dishes and all were good, especially my favourite Peking Chilli Sensation. Food is cooked quickly and service is good.

I normally order from Hello Kitchen but have recently had some bad experience with them so yesterday was the first time that I had ever ordered a takeaway from here. It will certainly not be my last! The food was great and the portions were probably the best price-wise in the area. The ladies on the counter were very friendly and offered my children lollies, which were much appreciated by them. The place was also very clean, putting my worries at ease. To add to the great service, my meal arrived within 10-15 minutes. When I got home, the food was still hot and fresh. My chicken balls were crispy any golden brown and had the perfect ratio of batter and chicken. I would completely recommend this takeaway and look forward to making my next trip down there in a week. 10/10

This is the best Chinese I have ever tasted by far. It's delicious, hot, well priced and such friendly service. Recommend 10/10! Worth the extra journey from Southampton !! (We have about 10 Chinese closer to us but wouldn't eat from any others now)
