Ming Wah in Eastleigh

I have ordered food from ming wah for meny years now I have never had any problems and the food is always really nice

Ordered from here this evening for the 1st time. Ordered house special chow mein. It's an easy dish that nobody can or should mess up. It was shocking. Some quick steamed beansprouts with random meat and prawns and sauce. But turned out beansprouts with a couple bits of meat on top, 2 prawns and some lightly flavoured/coloured water poured across the top. By a country mile, the worst I have ever had. Also had the chicken and sweet corn soup. Wasn't too bad, probably bought in and heated up only.

Even though I have never eaten their food I've put 1 star as I called and before ordering I asked what their food hygiene rating was as I noticed a couple of reviews stated they only had 1 star, they left me hanging on the phone a few minutes, hung up on me then cancelled my calls when I tried to ring back! Clearly they still have a terrible rating and terrible customer service! Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a place that does not deserve 4 stars!

Still only a one for food hygiene, why?

The Food Standards hygiene rating certificate, by law, should be displayed on the door of the premises. There was no sign of it. The business was inspected in March 2023 and was awarded the lowest rating of 1 out of 5.

Great chicken curry and chips for £6.10, bargain and very tasty.

i had the worst experience at ming wah last night. was coming home from work and fancied some satay chicken. i went in and your worker Steven tried kissing me over the counter. i said no but he insisted. i left ming wah hungry and unsatisfied, i am not happy with the service

Good old chinese takeway in Hamble.Always tasty

Had 2 outing (takeaway's) in recent months. Telephone enquiries both handled well, Food was ready shortly after arriving to pick up, so timings were spot on. Staff not very chatty but pleasant enough. Food was still hot on arrival home. Very typical of a variety of Takeaways in other areas/ Portions usual size, not much difference in taste from variety of takeaways,

It's really nice, and the curry is one of the best in the area , nice clean and pleasant take away

Off the scale! Lovely food, a bench mark chinese takeaway, the only chinese takeaway I know of that comes close is New jade palace woolston

Really nice food, ordered an number of dishes for a family mean and was impressed with the good amount of meat within the food. Sauce was really flavoured and good consistency, really enjoyed and will be back.

What happened? Used to be great food but one dish was burnt and one the chicken was like a hockey puck

I'm gluten intolerant and after months of eating here, I walked in tonight to order and was told by the chef/owner that he did not cook for people with allergies anymore as it's too difficult and he can't guarantee he can do it without gluten being in it. So, what have I been eating for the past few months! I did feel terrible after a meal there a few weeks ago but gave it the benefit of the doubt as the chef seems quite competent. I now know clearly he wasn't! My partner refuses to eat here as he's had several bad experiences, chop suey being tasteless and the Chinese chicken curry stringy and poor quality and, as he put it, he thought the person cooking it had emptied half a bottle of their perfume in it! it tasted scented and not nice at all - he ended up leaving half of it. The chef was very abrupt also and treated me with little respect. Will not be going back and would certainly not recommend!

Used Ming Wah for the first time last night. Couldn't fault the delivery, was very quick and food arrived hot. The food though was just average, have had better and worse from other Chinese takeaways.

First time I've ordered from here since I moved to netley . Very pleased with my food and service received. Will definitely be ordering again . Thanks 😊

Yummy food, particularly enjoy the lemon chicken and special fried rice! Convenient and reasonably priced.

Ordered about 12 different dishes everyone enjoyed them staff friendly would recommend

This had to be THE worst meal I’ve had to date. I had sweet & sour pork with boiled rice, the pork was all gristle and completely devoid of any flavour, and I was actually cutting the rice with a knife because it was so ‘ claggy’ and overcooked. Not impressed and shan’t be wasting any more money there!

We are very picky about our takeaways and Ming Wah never let us down. The food is ALWAYS on point, and they’re good decent people. Food is provided hot and fast! Amazing restaurant to enjoy delicious food for a reasonable price, definitely worth it.

Ming Wah is a Chinese takeaway restaurant situated on Coronation Parade, Hamble. The restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes but is very limited where drinks are concerned. Upon trying various dishes, a common these becomes apparent with the quality of the food as follows: The meat dishes are poor, heavily subsidised with sauces and on occasions the meat if "fatty" and of poor quality. The rice is often dry. The chips whilst crisp taste somewhat cooked in re-used oil. Overall, these dishes are disappointing. One of my concerns was over charging on occasions by £1.00p to £1.50p and items missed from delivery orders. Dealing with staff over the telephone is difficult due to language constraints. As of 10.03.2020, the food hygiene rating was just 3. Resolution to the quality of food, service and hygiene standards need to be met. As an avid traveller and reviewer of world foods, I have experienced a much better service in the surrounding areas and therefore, along with the food hygiene rating, I could no recommend this restaurant to anyone.

First time and last time using Ming Wah Chinese. Food all tasted the same and very greasy.

The food is more surprising than expected and suitable for Hong Kong people!

Very late delivery and delivery driver managed to get lost even though we live very locally. Painful service. Took multiple phone calls and waiting outside to finally receive our order more than 30 minutes late. Food was worse than others in the area and order slightly wrong.

We clocked this as we drove past it before arriving at our Air BNB in Hamble. Once our excited and somewhat hysterical girls were in bed, I snuck out to get all of the unhealthiest dishes: egg fried rice, chili beef, sweet and sour chicken balls and chicken chow mein. Cheap as chips and with free crackers thrown in it hit the spot instantly - and there’s still plenty left for breakfast tomorrow. Cash only. Wish we had this type of Chinese takeaway back home. 😀

I'm very fussy with takeaway food but after moving to Hamble i decided to try the local Chinese, Now iv'e not been to any other for over 2 years. Never had a bad dish , Super friendly, Always happy to tweak an order for you (I highly recommend asking for a house special chow mein "Singapore style" it has a warmth but not hot and an awesome flavour). The meat is superb and never processed and very reasonable prices.

Use this often always friendly mostly lovely food but every now and again not as nice as normal or a mix up with sauces but mostly very good

Great takeaway the Beef in Black Bean is the best around

Just ordered a special chow main and fried rice. The chow main was very dry and I also ordered the salt and pepper ribs unfortunately the ribs were lacking the salt and the pepper! Disappointed as normally good.

Working in the area lovely meal and well priced fast service and very helpful in choosing dishes that went well with each other definitely be back Diolch yn fawr

The food here is amazing! Any food you pick will make you want to come back for more the next day. 110/100 if I can rate it. Definitely suggest it.

Went here as my mate works here i tried some of there sweet and sour pork balls and my god i was blown away 10/10 amazing food I most defiantly recommend this take away ~Justin
