Best Chinese around, used this Chinese for years and it’s never failed. The best dishes I can recommend are lemon chicken and satay chicken skewers.

whilst trying to place the order I was shocked by the rudeness of the boy that awnsered the phone, he wasn't atall professional, even gave me the wrong order, first time I've had t my order taken by him but I'm hoping it will be the last.

Never had a bad meal, always super quick service. Happy to remove certain items if not wanted like peppers and always hot and tasty. What is not to like??!!

This was our second purchase from this outlet, very disappointed food was tasteless deposited majority of the order into the bin. We will not be using this restaurant again

Absolutely delighted. Excellent food and service again (and we can be very fussy). All freshly prepared and well cooked. We shall be back.

The food was good and freshly cooked while we waited. Street parking in Ixworth can sometimes be difficult, but that is not the fault of the restaurant.

My husband and I love ordering food here. We probably buy dinner here at least twice a month. I typically order the same thing every time because I know I like it, but my husband jumps around and has enjoyed most dishes he's tried. Pieces are reasonable. This is a takeaway location, so no seating. Though there is a place to sit and wait inside. It is also cash only, but with reasonable prices this has never been an issue for us. Highly recommend!

Very friendly & helpful staff. Food was well cooked & tasted great. We called in while passing & only had a short wait before it was ready.

Visited here last week. We needed to order a couple of meals with dietary requirements and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was absolutely excellent and the service first class. Will definitely visit again.

Extremely disappointed ordered a takeaway to collect on my way home from work (birthday treat for me and my children) arrived to collect to be told my order had been given to someone else but they would re cook it for me, waited another 10 minutes the person who took my order came back with my food and they said there you go all fixed you can take that now. I refused as I had no idea how long my order had been with the other person they then said they would cook it again! At that point I asked for a refund as had completely lost faith in what I would be given! Will not order again! What was meant to be a nice birthday takeaway resulted in no food at all!

Hadn't been here for a while because of a few order issues, but my son ordered himself some food and asked me to pick it up for him on my way home from work. The next day I asked him what it was like, and he said it was siht!!!, I said, " that's why we don't go there". The service was alright though. 🤓

Can't review the food as by 8pm on a Saturday night they stopped taking orders for the rest of the night because it has "got busy"..... They're open until 11pm, but apparently had 3 hours worth of orders lined up.

As a visitor to Ixworth I had to try the local chinese and I was very happy with my meal, I had Singapore chow mein with bbq ribs and crispy seaweed. Customer service was very good and shop was nice and clean. Thank you!

Best value good Chinese food locally.

We stumbled across this place by searching for local takeaways in the area. The food was tasty, hot, full of flavour and just what we needed after we had travelled 3 hours in the car to our holiday home. The spring rolls were home made and not the usual frozen ones that are microwaved in most takeaways, so they clearly prepare all the food. The only thing to be aware of, they only take cash or cheque, so a little behind with the times maybe.

Having lived in this village for years, we used this Chinese once and never returned. I'm sorry to say but it's the worst Chinese I have had. Thick gloomy sauce with zero flavour. I literally eat anything and I couldn't eat this, it went in the bin after a few bites 😔 Shame but there are better Chinese takeaways around you just have to travel to them!

Worst (excuse for) Chinese meal ever. Recently moved into the area a bought a big takeaway for a family get-together. But all meals we disgusting, and most of it went in the bin.

This was once the best Chinese Takeaway within 10 miles of Bury St Edmunds.(limited to that moniker, by me not trying every single one outside of that radius) The experience was measured both quantitatively and by its quality, the portions were huge and the taste, something to talk about with others... enough to encourage others to spend money to experience the same. It is now a shambles, serving huge portions throughout the epidemic ...it now serves piddling examples, ghostly imitating flavours that came before. Due to the quality of its begone menu, i wouldve been happy with a third reduction in portion size whilst still paying the same.... im not sure if new staff have taken over recently but the portion size is anorexic, what were once great chucks of expertly seasoned satay chicken three giant chunks long,are now two nibbles long, resembling chicken hearts in scale plastered by chunky peanut butter. The meat to veg ratio in the dishes that have both are obtuse, mostly cheap bulk, where you have to actively search for meat. From a takeaway giant i would rave about, to a small hole in the village of Ixworth....i will not be buying from there again and advise against it, at least until they improve again. All the negative points are based on the last 4 times i ordered hoping against hope for change.

Only eaten from here a few times but Food was lovely again, tried a couple of different dishes and they where full of flavour, staff really friendly, will definitely order from here again

had some food from our local chinese tonight which was really nice. asked for the pork in the chow mein to be big slices instead of tiny shreds and it was so much better and the bbq sauce was sent instead of sweet and sour which i asked for too. we enjoyed our meal, thanks for cooking our order exactly how we wanted it

First and last time we use this Chinese. Disgusting.

Staggeringly, heroically awful. Almost incomprehensibly bad. We ordered 3 dishes from all over the menu plus 1/2 duck. The three pots of food that materialized were identical: a thick gloop of corn flour (?), frozen and recently de thawed (and still almost cold) meat, commercial grade frozen veg. And precisely zero flavour. The only taste was a strange anodyne residue of grease. Nasty and slimy. No spice or even broth. The duck was equally bizarre; a deep fried and unsliced chunk of greasy gristle. Astonishingly bad food. You actually can tell from the waiting room: there is a strong greasy smell but no whiff of Chinese flavour or spice. Was going to give to the dogs but thought better if it. Go elsewhere if I were you.

Got King Po Veggies and checked it was vegan. Nice food.

It's an absolute delight to visit here! The staff are warm, courteous, and friendly, and the food is sublime! :-)

This has to be one of the worst Chinese takeaways in the area. Although the food was hot it was tasteless. This is the second time I have tried this takeaway & it will definitely be the last.

Typical English Chinese... Sauce is just sticky and no real flavor to it. Meat is horribly tough.

Had a take away from here. Really pleased with the quantity and quality of the food. Rang and placed my order and told would be ready in 10 minutes. arrived at the shop and it was waiting for me. will definitely use this place again

Absolutely delightful Chinese this evening, everything was fresh hot and flavourful, 7 very happy bellys afterwards, really chuffed to have such a good Chinese take away in the village!

This is the only Chinese restaurant within this area so when we moved into a nearby village recently and didn't fancy cooking this was our ONLY option. Given that I only really have noodles (chow mein) I was quite pleasantly surprised that they tasted pretty good.

After many meals from here and our order normally being within 10 dishes, we don’t stray far on the menu, we have always had a good meal. Saves a drive into Bury and nice to combine with a walk to collect.

The staff in here are helpful, polite, knowledgeable, and very welcoming. I didn't have my usual fare, but chose chips and spring rolls instead, and they were sublime! I've never had food from here that was less than excellent! :-)

Being on a home exchange in Ixworth we went hunting for local eateries. One place we tried had bought-in pies without extra gravy so not on our must return list. The next place was under new management and not doing food! So, our attention turned to the Chinese. Glad it did. My eyes were drawn to the Mongolian Crispy Lamb, an absolute favourite of mine. The last time I had it was in Oxfordshire about five years ago -nowhere else seems to do it, certainly not in Newcastle upon Tyne, I’ve looked! The texture and flavour is second to nothing. On two visits we also tried special chow mien, Singapore vermicelli and crispy won-tons. All were as they should be, with the won-tons retaining there crispness to the very last one. So, as I couldn’t find any fault at all, I have to give maximum five stars. I wonder if they’d consider a satellite outlet in Geordieland?

This is a small, cash only Chinese takeout and I had reservations about getting food from there but risked it. The meal was probably one of the worst Chinese takeouts I've ever had - the Peking prawns in batter were overwhelmed by soggy batter and it was impossible to discern the prawns anywhere inside! The chicken and cashew nuts was as dry as a bone and chewy. All flavours were bland and the same and to be honest, except for the chicken, the rest of the food went into our chicken coop for the chickens!

I'm a resident of Ixworth and was looking forward to my first Chinese Takeaway, however I was a little disapppinted. The food was a bit tasteless, maybe it was my choice so I'll give it another try because I do like Chinese food.

Yummy food. A bit pricey for slightly smaller portions but worth it. Personally not a fan of the fat being left on in the duck chow mein. Other than that, absolutely delicious! Just wanted more duck meat!

I have used this takeaway occasionally since it opened, and I've never been disappointed with either the quality or quantity!Everything is cooked to order, and it's ALWAYS a good idea to call first, placing the order, and then going to collect, as with any food establishment, it will get very busy!

We had the meal for 4 option and everything was delicious , not greasy, hot tasty and lots of it !! The staff are courteous and helpful.

This was our first visit to the Chinese at Ixworth. We had our reservations but thought we’d give it ago as it was on our way home. Big mistake!!! The food was bland, every dish tasted the same. It tasted as though every dish was doused with a liberal helping of vegetable boullion powder. Such a disappointment. Next time we will drive further to our favourite Chinese takeaway and have a decent meal.

Had the chicken curry same price as other Chinese’s but no rice included. Curry was a bit on the watery side and bulked our with that traditional Chinese veg of carrot. Chicken ball were good with the half duck and pancake rolls. With most Chinese would find a chip shop for chips rather then there ones. Ok in a pinch if you stuck there are better in the area. As for best in the UK not eaten in the whole of the uk but would nah not even close to best in county

I had a takeway from here today lovely food nice big helpings. Service is always good. The young lady always in a good chattie mood. Lovely food always use it at least once a week. See you soon.

The order was taken. by phone and ready when we arrived to collect it. A family of eight all choosing their favourite dishes from a large varied menu meant we were all able to try a variety of dishes. Two different kinds of rice noodles and prawn crackers completed the meal . Usual box sized portion of average tasting Chinese food .A handy takeaway for the village.

The food here is fantastic and we have been using the takeaway for the last 12 years. Although there has been changes in ownership, the service and food haven’t.

Staff are rude and blunt. Food is average at best. Singapore noodles are ok. Still can't get past the rudeness of the staff.

Food was very good. Very large menu with lots of variety. Not greasy like a lot of Chinese takeaways. The service was quick and efficient. Will be using again. My only suggestion would be to start doing a delivery service.

We have visited here many times as it is our nearest chinese takeaway. Our experience of the food has been variable but no complaints. It is better to phone an order in advance as a drop in order can take considerable time as their phone orders are honoured.
