The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

1st time trying this place. There was Not a lot of flavour in sweet and sour chicken and prawns and lots of onion square peices mixed in. The salt and chili crispy chicken was hard and not the best but the dogs crunched them up.

This is by far the best Chinese we have ever had. We ordered the house speciality tonight which was incredible. I tried their satay sauce for the first time, it was sensational! This Chinese doesn’t have the MSG in its food like other takeaways which is brilliant. All the more reason to order from them. Extremely good value for money, quick delivery, great quality, lovely food, professional service. Love this Chinese. One of the best. Highly recommended.

Really dissapointing, I have changed my 5 star review, twice recently I have waited 2 hours for delivery of my food and it has been cold. I will not be ordering from here again!

The price I just pad was outrageous. I ordered fried rice dish, chicken dish and a seaweed starter. All for one person and I was charged nearly £36??? Seriously!

The service attitude is very bad, don't come here. The food is not good, expensive and tasteless. It's unfortunate if you have to come.

Nice meal, great size portions. One main was salty. Had the fixed menu, staff would not change a main course unless we paid for the deluxe menus. First two courses very good, well cooked and presented. Main was good except for prawn in black bean, which was rather salty. Couple on the next table did not eat any of one of their beef mains, saying it was far too salty to eat, so do complain if you can't eat it. We managed ours but would have preferred less salt, rest of the mains were good in quality and presentation.

Food far too greasy and of poor quality, the icing on the cake was the hair we found on the prawn crackers! Never again! Worse Chinese food I’ve had in my life!

Very strange one. Got a delivery. The delivery woman was really quick, friendly. Took the food upstairs and realised I was missing a part of the order. I rang the restaurant and they said they would deliver the missing part of the order and apologised for the inconvenience. 5 minutes later I then received another phone call from the restaurant from a woman shouting down the phone at me calling me a liar! Absolutely shocking customer service in the end. Definitely would not recommend, unless you fancy having an argument!

Check your bill! First time visiting since the new people taking over. Had the buffet as usual - still great food. When we asked for the bill it wasn’t itemised but presented as a ‘food’ sub-total and a ‘drink’ sub-total then the total amount which they wanted you to pay immediately . Was only when we got home we realised they’d overcharged us by £10. This wouldn’t have been a 10% service charge as our bill should have been £122 but we were charged £132. Be careful and check your bill before paying!

Have used the same place for years and as they’re closed had to look elsewhere The only one that came up as available and husband wanted a Chinese I only had a chicken fried rice and spring roll, lovely rice and spring roll crispy and nice filling Hubby had his salt & pepper ribs, special chow mein and a kung po chicken and said it was all delicious Would def order again albeit is more expensive than our usual

We had a takeaway, set menu G, thinking that the food would be delicious as it was the week before. We had celebrated Chinese new year at the 'all you can eat buffet' was delicious. The quality of the food that was delivered was ok but the taste was and texture was awful. The shredded crispy chilli beef, was soft and chewy, not a a texture to enjoy and the taste was greasy. The sauce should have been served on the side so the crispy beef could keep it's crispyness. The You's Mixed Hors D'oeuvres were a challenge because the crab claws were a glutenous blob of cornstarch on a stick. We did enjoy the chicken satay, a great sauce. How can the food be so different between 'eating in' and 'takeaway'?

Never had a bad take away from here. Cash only is a pain in the arse so lost a star for that

Lovely food and friendly staff but as it’s so popular it’s sometimes difficult to get though and pre order on the phone and there is sometimes a wait whether you have ordered or not but persevere it’s worth it- cash only so go prepared! There is street parking but many people just abandon their cars on the junction or path right outside the door- if you go a little further you will find a space and be able to park safely and legally 😀

Myself and family have used this chinese as far back as I can remember and I can honestly say I've never tasted better, and we've tryed a few!!! Only accepting cash and not doing a delivery service is annoying but it's definitely worth going to pick up the food 👌
