Treasure City in St. Helens

Possibly the worst Chinese ever. No duck in the duck spring rolls. The peking ribs had to have the meat ripped off as it wouldn't come away from the bone. Utter rubbish.

Honest review waiting time was 20 minutes over which I'm not to bother about(things can unexpectedly happen) now to the food! Chicken fried rice had absolutely zero flavour also got bbq sauce which tasted like wa salt water.. Disgusting...also ordered special fu young Hahaha what can I say all sliced onions couple of pieces of chicken and ham that nothing special about that what so ever... Needless to say it went in the bin ..£27. Down the drain. Sorry would never eat from there again!!!!

Had a takeaway. It's nice to phone and pay, then just pick it up. Food is always lovely hence a busy Chinese takeaway. Will be back.

Best Chinese chip shop I’ve sampled for a while! The food is excellent, the chicken fried rice is amazing as is the salt and pepper chicken and the chips are the nicest I’ve had for a long time. Portions are big too

Pre packed meals wsrmed up , chips reheated. Don't bother.

This is a very quick serving takeaway! There's an enormous menu and it doesn't matter what you order it is ready in 5 minutes flat. Very efficient. Not ordered a delivery though.

Rang this evening to make an order. The way the lady spoke to me on the phone was disgusting. Asked to speak to someone else and she said she was the boss. Would never order from here now after the attitude she had.

Ordered food tonight as a treat and it’s absolutely disgusting. Couldn’t even eat it and I am starving. None of us could even eat the chips. Chips full of pepper, soup like dish water and ribs look like they were cooked in oil with no flavour. Even the prawn toast was hard as a brick 🤢🤢🤢

Absolutely amazing authentic Chinese meals as were the english dishes I will go as far as to say the best special fried rice I have had in the St Helen's area would highly recommend this establishment clean smart and friendly service with reasonable wait time and prices.

First time visiting here. Popped in for some chips as I was working a late shift. They where lovely. The small portion could of easily of fed 3 of us. Will definitely be coming back and trying something else.

Fantastic banquet. Delivered quick and everything was piping hot. We have been here loads of times and it's always brilliant. Fantastic.

I've been a regular here for many years now, wouldn't get a Chinese takeaway from anywhere else, always plenty of choice and large portions

We have ordered many times before with no issues, this evening we ordered a sausage dinner for our son, chicken fried rice and a carton of curry for myself and barbecue spare ribs and a portion of fried rice for my wife. Unfortunately the portion of fried rice smelt burnt. I phoned to complain and it was replaced without question within 10 minutes. Great service.

Not accepting card for food orders under £15.. The fact that we are in a pandemic and people are actively being encouraged to hand cash over is very disappointing.

Do not accept card payments for under £15. Irresponsible for a business to be promoting cash transactions in the pandemic.

Probably the best Chinese in the area. The food is very good. They will take card payments but only over £15 which is fair, as most chippies i am aware of are cash only and transaction costs can be high for small amounts.

Unless orders over 15 pound cannot pay on card

Treasure City as a lot of takeaways have been forced to close with the COVID19 They have totally transformed the whole inside whilst the closure was on, totally refurbish & new signage.. noticed as living near The food is now amazing & it’s definitely the best Chinese in St Helens

Waited a hour for my food then when it came it was cold and my children were hungry never going to order again from Tresure city

Treasure City... a hidden treasure! Lovely meals, we will definitely be ordering again.

After a really bad experience here a while back (they had run out of chips...no seriously they had) I decided to try one more time. I ordered the meal and the pork was definitely not pork I'm convinced of it....was really chewy and rubbery. I didn't enjoy it and struggled to finish half of it. This time they did have chips but I'd soon realise that I'd wished they hadn't. They were hard and crispy like they had been refried half a dozen times. I ate three and threw them away. Sadly I shall never darken their doorstep again.

We had a very nice bunch of meals from here, friendly staff and quickly prepared.. prices i would say are at the higher end of takeaway prices for the area... but quality food ..!

Absolutely fuming ordered a carton of curry as I opened the bag the lid was off scalded my hand to the point it has blistered I phoned up got no apologies just sarcasm and basically laughed at me which is not funny I have a new born baby to look after

It was OK.. Not the best or worst I've had.. Staff are quite funny in a nice way.. My search for a decent Chinese in St helens continues..

Waited double the time stated , checked the prices online and was over charged ... what I thought but stated when asked if I wanted chips or rice with that that was an extra cost , the rice igor was really hard and dark brown due to be cooked quite some time ago , would never go here again had gone so down hill and the clean rating I have just seen they should be shut !

Delivered on time, portions Huge, ribs great, loads of prawns in my dish, wifes Chicken fried rice went down well, all in all would use again, happy punters.

Great service and delivery option

I went into the shop to ordered food and was asked would I like the chicken with rice or chips, i said chips and was charged for an extra portion of chips. I payed by card and the order was £6.30 when I checked the reciept I had been charged an extra 50p without being told. I enquired and was told that the 50p charge was because I paid by card even though that is now illegal. It isn't a lot of money but they are ripping people off and it is unfortunate because the food is actually quite nice but they have lost a customer.

my current chinese i order from are on holiday so i had a look on trip advisor to find an alternative, really good food here & good menu to choose from. Portion sizes are huge! delivered on time. would deffo recommend!

Quick and friendly service. My son and I both had satay, 1 mixed meat and 1 chicken both with fried rice. Generous portions, fried rice was excellent, satay very nice and very tasty. Only down side for me was grapefruit in the satay not my personal taste unless in a sweet and sour but this was the only negative. First visit but will definitely go again.

Well I don't like to give negative reviews but when I tried this takeaway instead of my usual I, to start with had to wait quite some time whilst the lady serving finished her conversation with two regulars...I then ordered and was told that they have run out of chips. Now surely potatoes is the most important thing in a chip shop? It is like a pub running out of beer...what's the point? Hopefully it was just a one off oversight on their part but sadly I won't be returning here.

Tucked away on City Road, but we have enjoyed a number of meals from here. We order over the phone and it's always 10 mins to collect and it's always ready. Price is comparable with other local takeaways and we have never been disappointed, always hot, fresh and flavoursome. Our favourite Chinese takeaway.

Recently moved into the area and well done yo the taxi driver who recommended treasure city as it is a little treasure. Their special cow mein is amazing n is enough for 2 people. If you want to share it that is lol 👌🖒🤗

Ordered food like we do once a month, same food same price but yet this time there was a £1.50 delivery charge?? Food was greasy and small portions, not sure if it's been taken over but the food is not the same quality, quite sad really as it was amazing and we loved to order from here

It's a hidden little gem in the heart of St. Helens, it's great Chinese food and brilliant service, really reasonable prices for great food, always hot and tasty! They do delivery too and it's always hot and on time! 10/10

Hot food here in 20 minutes. 9.50 banquet meal for 1 included prawn crackers, choice of ribs, any soup. Won ton soup was delicious choice of 6 meals ( I had sweet and sour chicken balls plus any side dish.. highly recommend. 11/10. Very fresh and excellent service. Will definitely be back.

this has become our regular takeaway for Chinese food - reason - the quality is good and more importantly the taste is good.remember if you would like things a little more to your taste ask - we always spice things up for a little extra bite

Was not nice at all.Maybe I caught a bad day coz many people said how much they liked the food that's why we tried it.

first time here,i know its been there a long time but just never had food so me and my partner give it a go phoned at 5 o clock picked up at 20 past , got home red hot fabulous food had chick cow mein ,partner had chicken wi ginger pineapple we both walloped it deffo returning lovely food

We order takeaway from here regularly, we order online and pick it up ourselves, it's always hot and fresh. The food is fantastic, we cannot fault it and the service is great. It is our 'go to' Chinese even though there are closer takeaways.

For me then best Chinese i have ever had. Ive been going for 10 years and would always go back. Ive tried lots of other places but i cant find a place which comes close to the same quality

I have used this takeaway for over 10 years.Still the same owner.I agree about the parking but that is not their fault.I have found that the food is always freshly made nothing is ever sat around for hours.I would Highly recommend this takeaway to anyone in the St Helens/Billinge/Rainford or Haydock areas.

Used to be better food, chinese tak-away been there for decades, gone down hill a bit, possibly new owners and it is very hard to park legally around it as location is right on a busy corner
