The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

This place is getting worse. Ordered meal over phone girl read my order back, when arrived order was wrong, gravy was like black tar no bacon, chips were horrible, curry sauce had lumps in not mixed properly, Ended up binning it all. The last couple of times we've had problems with food from here we keep giving it another chance but never again

The worst food I've ever had, and £32 for just one person, tried new place but should of stuck to my usual, it was absolutely horrible, smelt of gone off food from the start then my pork balls were so crisp I could of broken a tooth, diabolical!! I've got so much left food that has to go in the bin, never ever again, thanks. What a waste of money, I want a refund quick smart thanks.

Quite sad I wasted calories on this meal, chow mein was sloppy and bland. Multiple meals were ridiculously spicy. Salt and pepper chicken was so dry and the salt and pepper chips were just okay. Curry sauce was forgotten. Won’t be rushing back to order!

Been using winghouse for years, my first European chinese, why is it shut down ?

My boyfriend and I ordered from this place a couple of months ago and got really bad food poisoning

Ordered at weekend. Shredded duck never turned up and when it did, was on the bone, full of fat, the meat that was there was dry. Chips were dry, clearly been stay a while. Black bean sauce no flavour and watery. Chicken balls with not fully cooked batter. Save the money for a treat and spend £35 to put it in the bin. Never use again

We moved to the area last year and still haven’t found a Chinese takeaway that we all love. Tonight, We wanted to try out a new one. We chose wing li - and WHAT A MISTAKE! We ordered £47 worth of food for the family, which included sweet and sour chicken balls, two lots of chicken fried rice, satay chicken, chips, egg fried rice, bbq sauce, and a pancake roll. The satay chicken was just a bunch of chicken in a sweet and sour like sauce with lots of veg and little bits of peanut - only had hints of a real satay chicken. The chips were like fries, not proper Chinese chips, while the sweet and sour sauce itself looked curdled with little bits (not sure what they are) floating around in it. The “egg” fried rice tasted like just boiled rice fried for a couple of seconds. The quotation marks on the egg in the previous sentence was because the egg fried rice didn’t have any egg in it. The pancake roll was mushy as well as very very salty. And finally the bbq sauce was like a thick balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Nothing like bbq sauce whatsoever. To us, it was an absolute waste of almost £50 and I would not recommend whatsoever. I ended up giving the dog the egg fried rice and even he didn’t eat it - so that’s really saying something! However, if you do order from here, I hope your food was better than ours, or you’ll be going really hungry! Ps: the pic is of the sweet and sour sauce 🤮

Been using this restaurant for over 30 years it had changed the duck was tough not nice noodles changed just gone down hill our family are very sad we have lost our favourite restaurant

an hour ago I spent £55 on my order,when I received the order there was a chow mein missing(i ordered 2)so I called the restaurant to let them know and the lady I spoke to over the phone said she will speak to the delivery driver and call me back.I received no call back instead 15 minutes later I had the delivery driver and one of the owners(i assumed)knock at my door asking me why I called and said I only received one bag of food instead of two and he said it very rudely.First I didn't understand why the driver and owner needed to come together and secondly I don't know why I was being accused of something I never said.The driver said they will go back to the restaurant and bring the chow mein that was missing.I waited nearly an hour and nothing was brought so I called the restaurant for the same lady I originally spoke to to tell me "I know for certain I put your chow mein in there,why am I accusing her of not putting two in there and she will check the cctv".I just could not believe after spending £55 and the fact I've been ordering from them for nearly 5 plus years to treat me like that for a chow mein.very disgusting and unacceptable.I told her to check the cctv but I still will never order from them again.VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE,I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!

Absolutely terrible Ordereed £50+ worth of food. Was 45 mins late then had the cheek to ring and say that there was a road closed so had 2 choices ... Come and collect or order canceled (no re.fund) Had to battle through Uber eats to get my refund.... Disgrace of a food establishment

Please read the other reviews and dont waste your money and time with this place. Food is the worst I ever eaten from a Chinese takeaway. Every thing was over cooked and nothing close in similarities compared to other places, have been eating Chinese food for over 20 years. Just so disappointed.

Had a takeaway from here, always sceptical anout Indian takeaways as there always nicer in when sat in. I have to say 10/10 absolutely beautiful, fresh, hot. Would recommend and come back here again.

Have been a regular at this take away for a few years. But will be looking for another local Chinese after the food we had last night. Order was, Salt and chilli spareribs. What we received were a couple of normal size spareribs chopped up into small pieces with very little meat or taste. Chicken chow mien. The chow mien was the worst I have had. Processed chicken in uniform strips. Tasteless noodles and no bean sprouts. King prawn chow Mien. Again tasteless frozen prawns. Tasteless noodles and no bean sprouts. They will know who we are from the order. The food was shocking. On that bases we are out and will not be ordering again. The people that we have recommended over the years will be recommended to do the same. A Friday night treat is getting more and more expensive. So will find a place that does not rip you off by serving up very poor quality food.

Hands down the worst Chinese meal we've ever had. Beef was just gristle. Sweet and sour sauce was tasteless. No flavour in anything else. Set meal for 1 and beef chow mean. Prawn crackers were the only thing that were ok. Won't be returning.🤮
