Often order fish and chips which is always excellent. This time we went forthe char sui pork in oyster sauce as well which was delicious. Will be trying more of the Chinese dishes next time!

The order was delivered slightly late but it was definitely worth the wait! The food was fresh, really hot and absolutely delicious! Top tip- order earlier than you want the food for and you won’t be disappointed.

Worst Chinese meal I have ever had!! Everything was oily, soggy and tasteless

Must have been ripped upside down or something during delivery as Ribs in sauce spilled over the whole bag, complete mess and no sauce left to eat so the ribs were completely dry. Rest of the food was cold too.

I hate leaving bad reviews but our food was so bad. I ordered sweet and sour king prawns. The prawns were starting to go off. The batter on them was falling away and was like a gloopy texture and sauce so watery and more vinegary than anything. The beansrouts had something jelly and solid in them, like a jelly stock maybe that hadn’t melted. The chips, egg fried rice and prawn crackers ok but this is the second time I have had a bad experience from here I doubt I’ll be ordering again.

I never leave bad reviews but the food was inedible and I had to throw it away. The soup was so salty I could have more than two spoonfuls. The sweet and sour mix was nice until I tried the prawn which tasted off. I was then put off my meal so threw it away. I had kept the money to one side for a treat so I was gutted. The crispy noddles were fine.

Probably the worst special fried rice I have ever had, 3 prawns, 2 slices of beef and didn’t find any chicken in the dish, bland, went in the bin. Chips soggy but curry tasted nice

Not great. The black bean sauce was very salty, (more so than usual) and the Malaysian satay was more vegetables than meat. It wasn’t up to its usual standards tonight.

Perfect as usual, food arrived early and was piping hot.

It stated between 55 and 65mins for delivery however once ordered it said it would be between 1hr30 mins to 1hr50 and was delivered close to 1hr 50. Food was really salty. Not to its usual standards. Disappointing tonight.

Ordered at 17.30 said it would be here at 18.45 I had to ring at 19.15 to find out where it was they said it was on its way still waiting another 20 minutes before it arrived

Ordered 17:40 got delivery time of 19:05-19:25 called at half past to check was a little short blame it on hangry told 15 minutes very apologetic, arrived 15 minutes later with a fiver cash back and another apology........worth the wait fantastic food every item and good customer service.

Tried the Green Thai Curry. Excellent.

Don't eat here, ordered over the phone picked up...."cash only". Food expensive bland very greasy in fact tastless. Not only that price over the phone was inflated by £3 when I went to pick it up. Oh and starters was burnt. Never again

Usually spot on, however, spring rolls lacking meat and flavour. Kung po sauce was very watery, my poor fried fried was swimming. Chow main was good as was the chilli chicken.

Excellent as you'd expect from the best takeaway in saddleworth. I requested the Vermicelli be extra spicy and it was exactly that! The batter on the S&P wings was wonderful! Plenty of meat on the ribs and lovely light prawn crackers; all delivered bang on time! Thanks again :)

Usually really good but tonight was the worst Chinese food ever, chips half cooked , soggy oily mess like oily mash, sauces watery and the chicken wings literally tartare about a week old..

I ordered special fried rice, there was hardly any meat which should have mixed meats 2 pieces of chicken char su just loads of gristle, and a lot of white rice in balls

Gravy was watery and disgusting, chips were soggy as anything and was like mash, and the sausage was just disgusting

We both said this is some of the nicest takeaways we have had in a while. We’ve tried a few different items and they have been lovely . The delivery drivers are all friendly too.

Worst food I've ever eaten I feel sick

Disgusting, worst takeaway I've ever ordered from an absolute waste of 35 quid, all overcooked, ribs were just bone and cremated batter. Wouldn't feed it to my dog.

We’ve always had food from here but last nights was not good at all! The chips were under cooked and really greasy, the 2 dishes we chose lacked flavour and texture, really disappointed as it’s usually great.

Food was excellent- quite a long wait but it was a Friday evening

Service was as usual very good, but portion sizes were very small and we was told there was price increases we haven't been for a while but was very expensive to other local Chinese restaurants given what we actually received probably go elsewhere in future unfortunately.

Got back off holiday and really didn’t want to cook after a long day, not tried here before and was abit skeptical with some recent reviews but our food was beautiful. Sweet and sour chicken was so so good. Salt & pepper chips were so tasty and the salt & pepper chicken was delicious. The curry sauce is really nice and all food was piping hot.

Quality of everything that we ordered was poor! Nothing tasted nice or even tasted of anything really. Usually quality is great and food fantastic, we order quite regularly but Not sure I will be ordering from here again.

It's a take out and on an exceptionally busy day the large team runnjng the Golden House did a great job of keeping an extremely large number of people happy with the speed and accuracy of orders. The food was great too!

We had to chase the food and it was over half an hour late. They were very vague on the phone. When it finally arrived it was lukewarm, soggy, chewy, greasy and frankly disgusting. It cost a lot of money and we are hugely disappointed. Will NEVER be ordering from Golden House again. Overall a big waste of money and food that should have been delicious had it been cooked properly and delivered on time. Appalling really!!

Had to queue up like the chippie. After about 25 minutes, we received our order and proceeded to take it back home. Only to find that the beef and black pepper sauce was laced with salt and the sweet and sour chicken tasted like vinegar. So hungry and so disappointed, the worst Chinese meal ever. Not recommended.
