Absolutely dreadful. Raw, stinking chicken and a terrible attitude. Yuk yuk totally avoid its disgusting and they don’t care

Standard, but full choice of dishes, and well prepared. Nicer recipes than others we have tried. Delivery prompt. Ordered and paid online with easy-to-use website.

In the snow, the driver waited, outside his car, for us to arrive home. Absolutely fantastic service, thank you China Cottage. Tasty dinner - loved the salt and garlic mushrooms.

We had take away. Dishes for 6 people ready in 5 minutes. Food was partially heated through. I had cold snowpeas in my veggie dish. My daughters chicken chow mien was no better and chicken had a metallic taste. Counter staff not very communicative.

We have used this takeaway many times since we came to live in the area 5 years ago. It has always been excellent. Tonight it was awful, given a chicken dish instead of a prawn dish !!!! I called them when we opened the dishes....

Always excellent food and brilliant service. Food arrives early always and with polite and friendly service from drivers. I constantly return for reliable and brilliant food with excellent value for money.

Best sit down all you can eat we have had been 3 times since xmas.lots of choice on the menu worth the money.

Don't let the decor deter you from experiencing the amazing traditional cuisine that China Cottage has to offer. We had a truly amazing meal of authentic Chinese cuisine when we had an all you can eat meal here.

A massive improvement upon previous visits. It is a nice and cosy Chinese restaurant tucked off of the main high street of the lovely town of Shaftesbury. It has a pleasant atmosphere and kind helpful staff. I also highly recommend the takeaways!

It took 2 hours from the confirmation of being ordered for food to be delivered. You used a driver who didn't have a clue where he was going and had no sat navigation to direct him. Also when the food finally arrived it was cold.

I know it was a cold evening but food not delivered in a takeaway food bag to keep warm. The desert had very little syrup and had stray chips. Not very impressed.

Ordered before and it was lovely.. This time however not so good!..I know crispy chilli beef should have a bite to it but this was more break your teeth chilli beef!.. And my noodles were very dry! Dissapointed to say the least.

Fast delivery and the crispy duck was lovely. The chicken wings and spare ribs not so good! Dry and kind of strange tasting. Think it wasn't very fresh! But don't let that stop you ordering, they are usually very good!

We ordered diet coke we got regular, we ordered curry sauce we got sweet and sour, so we had to wait for ages whilst it was re-delivered, our food was put in the oven to keep warm while we waited however the length of time made it a bit dry, however it was still nice. The problem was solved with no questions asked, so our overall experience was just okay.

Drinks finally came an hour after. I am a regular customer - you would think you'd want my business!

China Cottage always produce tasty take always for us, either when I order over the counter or telephone in. As expected all you favourites can be found on the menu. Always reliable, on time and generous.

What a lovely tasty delicious take away, very good. The crispy duck was good not fatty like it can sometimes be. The chilli beef perfect! This was the first time we have used China Cottage and will definitely return.

Popped in for a quickie takeaway & it was! Seemed like only minutes before food popped out. More of an Indian takeaway kinda chick but was pleasantly surprised, would take & go again, can't say what a sit down meal is like.

We have ordered takeaway a couple of times from here and each time it has been delivered quickly and has been hot & tasty with free prawn crackers too! Happy to recommend them.

Have used this service off and on with the various changes of owner ship. Currently the food is greasy and not as good as the other takeaway in the town, wont be going back in a hurry
