The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

FOOD POISONING WARNING!! DECEPTIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I've been to this restaurant 4 times now, and my 3rd time I got food poisoning after a take out/collection. It was definitely their food because I didn't eat anything else prior to my food poisoning experience which was extreme diarrhoea. I initially decided to not leave a negative review, since being an ethical vegan, I like to help support vegan businesses. However, on my 4th visit, I mentioned food poisoning to the waiter who is a young skinny Indian man (I don't know his name). My 4th experience was so bad, I want to break it down below. 1. I got food poisoning with diarrhoea 5 times, with undigested food (3rd previous visit). 2. If a child with a poor immune system or an elderly person got the same food poisoning as me, they could have died. 3. I got no apology from the waiter on behalf of the restaurant nor from the manager or chef. 4. The waiter tried to shift the blame on me by asking if I had any food allergies. Food allergies don't cause symptoms of food poisoning. 5. I was gracious enough to not leave a 1 star review or take legal action, but when I ordered a collection, I didn't get a 20% discount that customers get for spending over £20. 6. There should have been two separate bills. One for the eat in and one for the collection/take out. Instead, I got one bill 7. There was a service charge of 12%. The Indian waiter deliberately put the two transactions together into one receipt, so he could charge me 12% service charge on £89 instead of roughly £50 8. When I got home to eat my take out, there was no vegan prawn crackers when there usually always is. 9. Indian waiter didn't ask if I wanted my change, which is the polite thing to do, even if it was only 4p. The food tastes kind of dirty, and is loaded with excessive amounts of salt and what is with the celery in every dish? I strongly advise anyone to AVOID this restaurant, especially if you have a weak immune system, a child or elderly person, as the food poisoning made me feel extremely weak and drained. If you have read my review and visit the restaurant, then get food poisoning, don't say I didn't warn you. In retrospect, I should have gone to hospital and taken legal action against this restaurant. In my honest opinion, the greedy waiter and the chef who cooked my food on my 3rd visit, should both be fired.

We are last to complain but with this I don't know where to started: 1. Salt and pepper chicken with salt and pepper chips wasn't salt and pepper chicken or chips it just chicken with pepers and onion ( chef said it how we doing) 2. we order 12 items we received 6 rang them up and they said oh yeah sorry Absolutely shocking Never again such shame they change hands Place was one off best Chinese.

The venue was closed at 17.15 when i visit today unfortunately. Google needs to be updated and so does the TCB website. I called and the number doesn’t work 😐 I was really looking forward to this but never mind.

Really impressed with food and service. It is our favourite place in the area!

Happened across this place tonight and decided to try it. I was not disappointed and am now surprised to read so many reviews where others experiences were nothing like my own. The service was generally good, albeit a little slow due to the sheer number of phone orders and takeaway walk-ins, that side was non-stop for the duration of my visit. There was only one other table occupied in the restaurant area but staff were friendly enough and seemed genuinely interested in how I was enjoying the food. I had my usual main course, the beef in black bean sauce, which I have say was one of the best versions of this dish I have had anywhere in Yorkshire and beyond, it was really rich and super tasty. I'd suggest you try it yourself - if this is the standard then you're in for a treat!

Came in today for the first time ever for the lunch menu, and it was phenomenal! Since becoming kosher, I've craved tasty kosher Chinese food for years, and this exceeded all expectations. I had the spring rolls to start, which were delicious and crispy, and had the sweet and sour chicken and noodles for my main/side... again, delicious and incredible. The portion sizes for a lunch were... well... let's just say I am glad I skipped breakfast because they were very generous indeed. The service was excellent, and they were very considerate of my food allergy, which isn't one of the common ones but they took it seriously. Absolutely without a doubt will be back again, and will be dreaming about this incredible food for ages. Thank you for the experience and the fabulous food! MetSuYan should rename themselves as MetSoYum!

Always good. The same quality as I have had for the past 5+ years. I recommend the crispy shredded beef.

The 2 young kids test served us were really polite and friendly, great food.

Very disappointing. This place used to be good. I ordered a relatively small family meal and it was over £100. The half duck was a quarter at best. All food was all clearly reheated and was still cold despite picking it up. The staff member who took our order on the phone was also extremely rude. I don’t know what has happened but it was awful. Feel totally ripped off!

So frustrating is probably the best way to describe water margin these days. The food is always incredible, there is not many places that cook Chinese food better. I cannot complain about it at all when it comes to the food. I had the crispy shredded beef, my partner had the war bar and my grandparents had the curry and chow mein. Really lovely food. The service however is just terrible and so disappointing. This restaurant when it was run by the family and the owners son/daughters the service was brilliant. Now it's just full of kids who make mistakes and just are not attentive to customers needs. There was only 2 tables in and the service is poor. So poor. It's not the first time either. The last time we went I thought I'd give benefit of the doubt but this time it was worse. Please, please, please train these girls on what service you used to pride yourself on. The food is brilliant but if you don't get the service right people will stop coming. My bill was incorrect, the food ordered was wrong but luckily we just accepted it. The service was so slow. Please get this right because I'm not so sure we will come again if it's like it was.

Wide variety of delicious food, cheap lunch menu every day until 15:00, plentiful portions, kind staff. My favourite Chinese restaurant in beeston,been visiting multiple times a week for years. Best price in the area without sacrificing quality or portion size. 🫠

Absolutely awful! The food was disgusting and we found a hair in our salt and pepper chicken! Rather than resolving the situation all I could hear was the staff screaming in the background. Would never order again! £31 went straight in the bin
