Yuen Wah House in Cheltenham

Visit and try chowmen. U was there last Thursday and ordered after 10.30pm . The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I am planning to visit tomorrow so I can freeze them in my freezer. Y brother lives in the area, and it is the best one in cheltenham

Complete utter shambles !! Ordered was told 45 mins , that was fine however upon unpacking many items was missing, rang up to ask for it to be delivered , the lady says no we will deduct of ur next order !! I say no I would like it as I have half an order and then the woman then starts shouting and swearing down the phone !!! Avoid - always seems to b missing items , happening a lot, and not fair if ur a family or don’t drive .

Consistently good quality and delicious food without mistakes that’s ready super quick. Large portions and always fresh.

Excellent, speedy delivery, food piping hot and very nice.

We tried this place and we're delightfully surprised. We picked up the food within 15 minutes of ordering. The food was very tasty and portions were huge. Well worth the money.

The Food is amazing infact fantastic, but sadly the last 3 meals we have had, sadly me and family have had bad food poisoning, such a shame as staff great, food always delivered hot can't fault. But sadly will not be ordering again.😔

I have been using this Chinese for years and have loved it but unfortunately I had a meal from there over the jubilee weekend and my whole family got food poisoning. So disappointing and unfortunately I can't bring myself to order from them again. I really hope they find the source of the problem and get it sorted.

Food was lovely. All piping hot and did not disappoint. Would highly recommend. Only issue was I asked for no pork it a dish and it came with pork. No biggie.

Really is the best Chinese food in taste but I have couple times now had severe diarreah. So guessing it’s food poisoning such a shame because it does taste good

A real shame. This used to be a great local takeaway however the last few visits have been awful. Previously collected an order and got home to the wrong order, when I called and said they had gotten it wrong they said that I had to take it back. Unfortunately by this point my children were tucking into their items (which were correct) so I said I couldn't. Was told I had to as if I had someone elses order they would need to get it to them..... Tonight called and asked for my usual items to be made gluten free and told they can't, so asked which items I could order gluten free to be told none. Now I am slightly worried about the gluten free dishes I have had from here in the past.....

Having phoned Yuen Wah to place an order and then realising I had ordered to collect not have home delivery, I called back to change the collection to delivery. The woman on the phone said I needed to up my order to over £10 which I was happy to do adding two cans of soft drinks. The woman at the other end just out of nowhere told me to F..k off and put the phone down . Appalling behaviour! We have used this takeaway for several years now and won’t be again.

Haven't ever eaten from this takeaway before but after reading the rather mixed reviews we decided to give it a try. We phoned and the order was ready in 10-20 minutes. The food was cheap and the portions were a good size. Everything tasted great and was still very warm after a 15min walk outside in cold weather. Man on the phone was very helpful and the whole call for the order was completed in less than 2mins. Will be ordering again for sure.

food quality just isn't consistent. First time ordering was good, second time wasn't sure if it was food poisoning so we ordered again this time and another person has got what looks like food poisoning. Everything overcooked and chewy, duck in the chicken chow mein, just all off and weird.

Ordered new years eve at 19 05, was told collection was 1 hour 10 minutes, and delivery was 2 hours 10 minutes. We chose collection and arrived at 20 15, which the food was not ready. A customer was in there being told another 5 minutes when he'd ordered at 18 55. He said he'd be back in 15 minutes as he didn't believe it would actually be 5. 20 minutes later that customer came back and had to wait another 10 minutes for his food. I didn't leave until 21 20 with my food, which wasn't even worth the wait, the chicken was undercooked, the only nice part was the fries. I understand the night was obviously going to be busy but this should have been prepared for and limted the numbers of orders as they took orders from walk in telling them it would be 1 hour.

I've eaten this and a day after I've had stomach pain and , went for a number 2 💩and noticed that there Is blood not too sure if the food has been contaminated, I've looked up this problem and its come back saying that it could be food poison or stomach bug it better not be anything serious 😒

If I could give zero stars I would. Waited 1 and half hours - to be fair they said it would be that length of time. They brought the wrong good with half of the order missing. Then told me it was my fault. What food they did bring was disgusting, cold congealed greasy mess of unknown origin. I

I have yet to have a bad meal here. The food is always well cooked and hot. The service is fast and delivered with a smile, with an extensive menu of different areas of China represented.

we had over a 2 hour wait when they originally said 30 mins. No communication from them when i asked how long it would be and whether I could have a refund. They seem to have no system for tracking orders. Food itself was tasty. But the service is sadly appalling.

i have popped in for many a meal. I find even on a busy night orders are taken in order and dispatched in good time. Delivery service not always available or have long waiting times. The take away itself is friendly and comfortable. The food is gorgeous and i will continue to frequent.

On placing our order we were told delivery would be an hour. After an hour and a quarter we rang to see where our delivery was and were told it was on it's way. After an hour and a half it still hadn't arrived so we rang again, the lady apologised and saud it should be with us in 10 minutes and as a good will gesture we could have a free dish next time we ordered. The food was really nice but the delay was not acceptable. We decided to give the restaurant another chance as the food was lively, we mentioned that there had been a delay last time and the lady had offered us a free dish next time we ordered. The lady would not accept that this offer had been made and dismissed the offer. Not good customer service. 😕😕

Been just once but based on that experience I will be going back. Food was very good and decent portions. Only negative is they don’t take cards which is a bit poor these days.

The food is very well priced. Staff are great, menu has a lot of choices. The food is always excellent and they will deliver. You need to be patient at the weekend as they are extremely busy. The only negative is that they don't take card payments.

After waiting over 30 mins I asked the young lad behind the counter. He hadn't even completed our order, so the kitchen hadn't even started our order. 15 minutes later we got our food. I had ordered beef chow mein. It was the worst I have ever tasted. It was dry plain noodles covered in grease and a tiny bit of beef. I rang the takeaway back with my feedback and they tried to fob me off. Service was shocking and the food even worse. Will never go there again!

we used to come here when we lived locally. so pleased to return after 3 years. it was very busy from opening as it's nye and was pleased how quick we received our order. the food tasted delicious and good value for money. the way the phone was constantly ringing shows how popular this takeaway is.

The food here is amazing, always tastes really fresh and is always piping hot. The staff are lovely and welcoming, even when they are really busy they greet you with a smile and the food is always ready very quickly.

Caught a delivery driver urinating behind a neighbors car 2 times now after dropping their food off!! Disgusting!!!! Called the company and they couldn't care less!! Vile... grown man urinating in a street... then handling your food!!!

So last night we ordered a meal from our usual Chinese at 18:25, we were told an hour and a half for delivery, standard for a Saturday night. After 2 hours we called up as still no meal to be told it would be sent out with the next driver. Obviously not happy about this we were offered discount off our order, a whole £2.30! (The delivery fee is £1.50). Mum explained this wasn't acceptable so we then were offered one free meal with our next order. The owner on the phone kept going on about how I normally collect the order and it's a lot quicker (wish I could have done but right now I'm bed bound!) The delivery driver called us 5 minutes later to say he was leaving and to check how much we were paying as he was told the full amount to be collected not minus the £2.30 and that he would be with us in 10-15 minutes. 30 minutes later he arrived, knocked on the door and handed the meal over all whilst speaking to someone on his phone not even acknowledging us. No apology from anyone. To top it all off the whole meal was cold! Safe to say not happy customers.

We found this place after trying several following the closure of the takeaway we had been to for years. Good size portions, well cooked. And our children are fussy!

I think Yuen Wah House is the best Chinese in the area. If you're mourning the loss of the Mini Roundabout Chinese, look no further.

I have been here on many occasions and tried several different dishes, all of which have been lovely. My favourite, however, is the Singapore Chow Mein. A bargain price for a lovely hot tray of noodles, beansprouts, meat and vegetable with lots of chilli. It's gorgeous and filling too. I must also comment on the friendly and polite service. Well done and thanks.

Popped in on impulse with friends. I have eaten takeaway food from here several times and have always received high quality food and friendly service. We had sweet and sour chicken balls, pancake rolls, beef in black bean sauce, chicken in chilli bean sauce, seaweed, egg fried rice and chips. All the dishes were prepared speedily and tasted hot and fresh. The staff were very helpful and polite. Reasonably priced and very tasty meal. Thank you.

We always crave a curry on Tuesdays when they are shut ! Varied menu, friendly service, delivery option. All their food we have ordered is nicely cooked and reasonably prices. A regular stand-by.

On a family recommendation we tried this place for a take away, The food wasn't great. I had a special foo young which was nice and spicy but included raw onion, Was quoted 30/45 for delivery and it arrive about 55 mins later. Worst part was as I counted the money out the driver asked for a tip. Won't be ordering again.

The menu is extensive and I've tried quite a few dishes and not been disappointed. I'd recommend the chicken in chilli bean sauce!! The rice is always good too. We'll worth a visit. Best Kung Po chicken this side of China! Good sized portion with plenty of spice. Highly recommended
