Excellent service very quick and the food spot on

Hot and sour soup was just sweet and sour sauce and barely had amything other than egg in it, had crispy shredded chicken that was basically just batter. Had to wait an hour and a half for 4 items, 2 of which were hot and sour soups!!

Not good at all. Much better around

Food was nice, the service was friendly plus they take cards, which several of the other takeaways don't any more for some reason

I don't normally write reviews but we ordered food tonight for a special birthday meal via the online app & when we went to pick the food up the order wasn't ready & then when we got the order home some items were missing. The food was also bland & not up to the normal standards as we have enjoyed food from here before. We were very disappointed & will give this place a miss for a while.

I’ve eaten here so many times and the food has always been amazing. You know it’s good as there’s always a queue. This time it tasted of old grease and kept repeating on me after I’d finished, which was really disgusting. Their standards had clearly dropped by using old or low standard oil. It’s really put me off eating here now.

food was awful chicken chow mein tasted absolutely awful and the egg fried rice wasn't any better, only had few spoons then chucked the lot it was that bad.. Will stick to my usual place in future

Ordered an hour ago, on a Monday to be delivered 1 hour later.... 20 minutes late!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disappointing for a birthday neal

Ordered via deliveroo. Only 3 out of 4 items delivered due to their error transfering the order to their own system/till. Phoned up to inform them. First of all they denied it. Then they said ring deliveroo to get them to start a new order (which isn't possible deliveroo only offer refunds and I would then be without my dinner) and then when I asked for the to make me the dish that was missing they hung up!

Ordered on Friday evening 2 chicken chow meins, ever since then my girlfriend and I suffering with stomach issues and food poisoning. Never again…. Who ever is ordering from them think again

I love this place so much the food is always really really good, they have good deals on meals for multiple people and they cook everything beautifully. Sometimes the servive is a little slow but there tends to be a new face in there when it is so I'm not bothered if they're taking their time to make sure things are done right.

Food is ok if you are a big fan of bean sprouts. They just pack the dishes full of it. Overall its a very average Chinese takeaway.

Absolutely pathetic service. Order food for delivery, waited over an hour to be told no record of the order even though we had an order number from them on Deliveroo. Tried to blame the app and even gave a wrong number for Deliveroo customer service. Unbelievable!!!

We have never been ones for take aways, but tried this place once in August and has now become out go to when we can't be bothered cooking. Delivery times are communicated and always accurate and not to mention the food is delicious. We have tried an array of dishes and loved every one.

Used this as my local chinese was closed.... will definitely be going back. Food was beautifully cooked.....hardly any MSG

I've now been waiting over 2 and a quarter hours for a delivery. They've taken the phone off the hook so I can't speak to anybody. I have no idea whether the food will be arriving at all, which basically means I've got to sit and wait and hope. The least they could do is send a text update. Absolutely disgusted with this ordered and paid online so they've got my money; I've got no food.

I ordered online at 16.35 with an expected arrival time of 17. 30. I waited until 17.50, then phoned. I was told by a very rude lady, yes, yes, it's on its way. At 18.30 I phoned again, the same lady asked for order number, I gave it, she said wait, 10 mins later she found order and said we send right away. We live 5 mins away but it took until 19.35 to arrive. I've had a lot of meals from Kam Ying but never again. No apology or anything, 3 hours after ordering!

Ordered for first time, and last time. Food came warm, not hot. We found a hair in one box, it was really untaaty and chicken was really bad. Pieces was huge looked like they didn't even bother to cut them properly. Soup missed seasoning and chicken was really chewy. Really bad experience will not order again.

The staff are friendly & the food is very good. My favourite in Hinckley.

Very rude and unhelpful staff. Delivery driver has demanded extra money for delivery on arrival several times now and given less change than he should (only tries this with my partner or daughter). When I rang to inform them I was was told he's a deliveroo driver so not their problem even though I orders direct through kam ying on the phone not through deliveroo. Came across like they sided with the dodgy delivery driver

Terrible customer service really letting the place down. After getting my order wrong and leaving out an item I rang up and was disgusted how I was spoken to. The male on the end of the phone was very rude and unhelpful, instead of offering to deliver the missing item or refund it I was told ‘I do not wish to help you as it was a Deliveroo issue’ and he then hung up on me. They were the ones that did not send the sauce I ordered. Not Deliveroo. After calling back and asking to speak to the manager/owner he simply said he was the manager/owner ( to which again is not true as I know them well in there ) and again hung up on me. Could have been easily resolved by sending out my missing sauce. Sadly in turn it meant the whole meal was entirely ruined. Such a shame. The rice was completely over cooked and dry, without the sauce especially, and the chips were cold. I shall not be returning and advise against the food, it’s not what it used to be. They have really let the place go

Sadly I have to give 1 star!!! Placed delivery and 30 mins late, called and told with driver, 20 mins late, called back and no order placed yet money taken then hung up on. Appalling service and can’t comment on food as never had it !! Avoid

An excellent takeaway. It was so busy, it is clearly well known! The house special fried rice was very fresh. I will definitely use again. What a delight.

Large menu, good selection of popular dishes available for delivery or collection. Easy payment either via website or cash on delivery. Deliveries are usually on time or slightly early.

very large variety of dishes, everything is prepared quickly, the products are fresh and the dishes are really tasty, very nice customer service and moderately short waiting time. Typical Mandarin can be heard from the kitchen, which only makes you realize that the dish is really a Chinese dish and it is worth the wait. Possibility to pay by card and cash, you can also wait. on sofas at your request in the premises

After three years we've never had a bad experience here. Average prices but absolutely top quality food. Everything is fresh as you can get - no manky onions or peppers you'd get from some takeaways, but fresh broccoli, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, the lot, all delicious.

All looked good, not used this place for years but our regular place was unexpectedly closed. Open plan cooking area, visible to all, plenty of staff. 2hrs after eating our takeaway at home, was violently vomiting - mixed meat sweet & sour, contained prawns. Everyone should know how to handle such foods now, surely?? Time for FSA to go in again methinks??!

Sooo nice! Fast friendly delivery. The meal wasn't full of grease and tasted lovely. Portions are perfect. Had to call to ask something and they sorted stuff right away. Would defo try more from here.

The food is fantastic, but the service has got really poor have been coming here for years and never had a problem ,that was until they started on the takeaway websites.We are told to come a certain time 40 minutes later still waiting,during which time 5 takeaway drivers have been in, filled up and left.I tried the delivery service a couple of times and that wasn't much better ,after an hour and a bit wait,still no food and then when we rang up they asked us to come and get it ourselves.I This has been going on for about 6 weeks.Pretty poor such a shame

Be prepared to not have your food delivered at the time specified if you have ordered online. It NEVER arrives on time! Most the time when it does arrive.... its cold. Its a real shame as the food is beautiful but the service is dire

Ordered the orange chicken and it was all rubbery and inedible. Ordered a few times from here and its been fine, but tried something new tonight and it was not good. Its a shame.

Absolutely gorgeous food... Just a shame the service was awful at best! We called around 5pm for a 7pm collection and then had the joy of waiting an extra 50(!) minutes in the shop... During which there was never less than 8-9 people (11 at one point) in the small waiting area as no staff on the door monitoring capacity. Good job there isn't a global pandemic else that would have been foolhardy! I witnessed countless cash transactions with no washing of hands between customers. Only half the kitchen staff wore masks and only half of them wasn't wearing them around their chin. Call me paranoid but I work in a takeaway myself and fully understand how stressful it can be... But there's absolutely no excuse for such minimal effort during the current conditions. Such a shame as I know this is (was?) the most popular place in Hinckley for a good Chinese takeaway...

We are staying in a hotel in Hinckley. I don't like to order from restaurants I don't know but we really wanted to eat something so we tried this restaurant. I'm very picky but I truly enjoyed the food. Very nice, very fast delivery. Thank you 😊

Placed an order via the phone and was told to collect at 7.40. Arrived on time to a room full of 6 people in a small enclosed space with the door closed. Paid my fee and then waited a further 20 mins to eventually be called to the counter with no apology for the wait. Totally breaching all social distancing rules with a total disregard for people’s health and welfare. There were no regulations in place apart from the screen to protect the staff, sod the customers that keep that business going. Avoid at all costs. If I’ve contracted covid I’ll know where it’s from.

Set meals are very big. Value for the money and it is nice food. Very quick service.

First time we have used this restaurant as they have only recently started delivery! What a wonderful meal, fresh, tasty and very aromatic! Best Prawn Crackers in town!

Great food, excellent variety on menu, great staff. Gets busy at times but goes to show how good people must think it is, so don't just take my word for it get down there yourselves, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.!!!

First time we have used this takeaway..... 🤔 some food was good, spare ribs I liked my husband didn’t salt and chilli ( like in batter a bit odd) my son had shredded chicken in chilli and salt 🤢 was not good (batter bits ? Chicken?) overcooked frozen chips, chicken chow mein (really small skinny noodles and hardly and chicken) Sorry to say but probably won’t visit again.

Have used Kam Ying for as long as we can remember and can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. Food is always fresh, well prepared and the staff are very friendly. Have yet to find better.

Our usual Chinese is currently closed so we ordered a takeaway from here based on its good reviews. But it was honestly the worst Chinese I have ever eaten. We ordered lemon chicken, chicken chow mein, and crispy chilli beef, all of the food was extremely bland, no flavour at all. I will certainly never order from here again.

He comido comida de cada chino/llevar cantonesa en Hinckley, Burbage, Barwell y Earl Shilton (no estoy orgullosa de este jaja, pero estoy tratando de pintar la imagen. . . ). También he vivido en Melton Mowbray, Nuneaton y Nottingham. Además he tenido China llevar durante unas vacaciones en muchos destinos británico. No uno de los otros para llevar chino he comido desde ha sido tan agradable como Kam Ying, es la hoguera para llevar todos los demás llevar yo contra china. Su salsa curry es para morirse. Sinceramente, si vives en Hinckley, pero no he comido de Kam Ying, soluciónalo!

Best Cantonese in Hinckley bar non,always friendly and food spot on. Must go every other week at least. We try something different quite a bit and everything is really nice especially the Singapore chow mien.

We have been going to kam ying for the last 10 years + and always had fantastic food and service. We even continued to order and collect from here despite moving to Nuneaton for 8 years. Glad to be back in Hinckley with our favourite take away on the doorstep :)

Been using this place for years. Missed it when we moved away for 5 years but was glad to find it was just as good on my return.

I have had many takeaways from here over the past 15 years. Always good fresh food. Never fails to please.

It was not so long ago that you would find numerous Chinese restaurants in every town. This tradition has slowly died out with the restaurant tending to be replaced by Chinese Buffet restaurants offering 'eat as much as you like'. Well this is one of the old fashioned, proper Chinese restaurants serving good food and very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you like Chinese food.

We went here to try it as had heard that it was good. I had the lemon chicken and egg fried rice. The lemon chicken was ok but was unsure it was cooked properly. As for the rice it was burnt and wasn't very nice. The girl at the counter was friendly.

Good selection all cooked in the kitchens in front of you. friendly staff and food is great. Best to phone ahead especially on a sat night!!

The food from kam ying is incredible! By far the best I've ever had, it's just such a shame that on a Saturday night you can't order and pay over the phone and have it delivered to your door. That's my only gripe and it would of gotten 5 stars! Maybe something to think about for the future? !
