Golden Palace in Hinckley and Bosworth

Absolute gem best Chinese takeout I’ve had in a while. Couldn’t fault a thing I had chilli squid, crispy beef, bean sprout noodles, pork yuk sung and seaweed. Great portion sizes very hot and very very reasonable price. Shame I’m staying in a hotel otherwise this would be my favourite local takeout.

We used to think the previous owners were good but, when I had my takeaway on Friday Evening it blew me away. Every single dish was just luscious and so tasty never wanted them to end. We always have some left over for the following day because of over ordering but next time I will just order what I want for that evening so I can eat it all while it’s nice and fresh. This Chinese deserves a mark of 50/10 and no I’ve not missed a zero off by mistake instead of being 10/10 I give it 50/10 . The meat just fell off the Spare Ribs usually my teeth struggle to get it off. Undoubtably the best Chinese we’ve ever had in our entire lives.

Food is really good but order was incorrect and a family member who is vegan was given meet in their food. Not impressed with that. But everything else was good.

The satay chicken main isn’t satay chicken flavour but why advertise it and then when I reordered another time and had the satay chicken starter it was like the chicken was dipped into peanut butter grilled till they chicken was so dry and sprinkled with sugar as it was dry tasteless and sugar grains chewing on won’t order again

Ordered a two meals, food was missed off the order only half way through found that the food wasn’t even ours as we’d ordered similar, Then had the delivery driver turn up to take the food away to be delivered back to who’s ever food it was! And then told us another half hour 45 mins for delivery with out even offer of a refund or anything! Will no be using them again. Poor service ordered at 8 at night now 10 and we still don’t have our correct food…

The food here is fantastic. I've been having takeaways for over 12 years and have never been disappointed. The place is exceptionally clean and the staff are polite and cant do enough to accommodate your choice of dishes. The spare ribs are the best i"ve ever tasted. Keep up the good work as i'm having chicken chow mein tomorrow night.

First time ordering from here. Absolutely delish food. It was delivered PIPING hot. I'm not usually a fan of this type if cuisine, but I've got to say how wonderful it was. I'll be ordering from here every time. Thankyou to all the staff there and delivering ( he too was a lovely man)

We had sweet chicken balls. Last night they was when cut we had blood and reddish juices came out of the chicken also the batter was very soft and soggy so I think you could say very under cooked this could made you very ill

Don't order salt and pepper chips from this Chinese because u will get salt and pepper chips with daddy long legs in dirty Chinese

Best chinese takeaway in Hinckley! :)

Yesterday I ordered a Chinese at 8:30pm. It was agreed that the wait would be 1 hour 30, which I thought was reasonable as it was New Years Eve. However, two hours later passed and I asked my partner to ring them as we hadn't heard anything. When he was on the phone, the service that he received was disgusting, some really cheeky man said "do you realise it's New Years Eve, I have too many bookings, your food is not ready for another hour". Not even an apology or acknowledgement. My partner went into the Chinese and the food was awful. I now have food poisoning I will never use this place again, no wonder it looks like a dodgy place.

I have been getting takeaways from Golden Palace for 5 years and they never disappoint. Today I ordered a set menu for 2 and it arrived within 40 minutes. The portions are generous sizes and the selection was very tasty and great value for money. You can tell the ingredients (meat & veg) are good quality and they pack out the portions rather than filling them up with sauce. I’ve ordered from elsewhere occasionally to try other takeaways but I always come back to Golden Palace.

Food is nice but the last 2 orders we have had delivered took over 2 hours , despite being told 1 hour when ordering! First time we gave them the benefit of doubt as just a bad night but a 2nd time means we won't be ordering again, 2 hours 20 minutes and not even an apology unacceptable .

None of the food was fresh. Got our and food gave us a wrong dish, rang up and wouldn’t change the dish or deliver it, very rude on the phone and hung up on us! What a waste of £25

My favourite, go-to Chinese, not had a bad meal in the 10+ years I've been using it. The deep fried chicken in King-do sauce is my current choice...

Always had good experiences with the food from here but do NOT order delivery. Having to wait nearly 2 hours for our delivery when being told it would be an hour is unacceptable.

Terrible service waited a hour and a half for delivery, decided to chase it up only to be told they had not even stated cooking it yet. They then explained that part of the order would be missing unless we waited another hour!

After an hour and a half still no order ,rang to find out where it was to be told it would be another twenty minutes ,hadn't even started it

We have been using this take away for a while now and it's always been lovely. However . . . the last time we used it we found two bones (looked like chicken bones) inside the spring rolls. A small child could have choked and been killed. Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole now. When we rang to complain they just said they would 'have a word with the kitchen' - no apology, no offer of a free meal, nothing. I was appalled.

Tried a few Chinese takeways in the area and so far this one seems to tick the right boxes – fresh and tasty and not much sign of too much salt or MSG. Can’t find much wrong with it, sure the guy on the phone could be a bit more polite – given it sounds like you rang a wrong number to order – but other than that its very good indeed!

Had a home delivery from here, food was cold and very tasteless. I would say it had to be the worst chinese ever. I would not be ordering from here again. I only had it as I was visiting family, but I'll pass next time. Only good thing about it was the order was correct a d quick deliver. If you want this but tasteless food then go for it.

we ordered a chinese from this place and delivery took at least 30mins in which we was told it would take 45mins to which we was impressed however we started to eat and the chips were soggy, we ordered bbq ribs which weren’t even bbq flavoured sauce and were chewy the curry sauce was full of skin the rice was to dry and the peas we shrivelled up not very happy by how much we paid for this!! woukd never order from this place again!!!!! not joking would rather eat from the bins at work then this place

Ordered a takeout as have used several times in the past. However after waiting for 1 hour 30 minutes decided to call to see where the delivery was. I was advised that the Chinese would be at least another 30 minutes (total 2hours) with no apology whatsoever. Terrible service - will definitely not use again.....

We had a selection of dishes all which were tasty and well cooked. Nothing amazing but a reasonable price and nice food so I would recommend overall and will probably use again. Delivery was quick!

We've been using this Chinese on and off for many years. The staff are always polite and friendly. The food is always fresh, tasty and hot. Large portions that can easily be split down to last for the next day too. Delivery is normally only 30minutes. Sweet & Sour is always a winner in our house! A very nice, affordable takeaway experience altogether. Worthy of a 5☆☆☆☆☆!

Always impressive, I have tried most dishes on the menu but one really stands out. King do chicken or beef both amazing and so tasty, sweet garlic and spicy , I have it ex hot with fresh green chilli. Having tried all the other Chinese takeaways this is by far the best for quality and choice, good value too, generous portion sizes and friendly staff. We never go anywhere else!!!

I have been using Golden Palace for about a year now, the staff are very friendly and the food is very good. My favourite dish on the menu is Crispy duck with chilli and honey, you won't find this dish as good anywhere else. The other dish well worth trying is the beef in king do sauce, recommended for people who like spicy dishes. This takeaway is well worth a try

The staff have always been very friendly and and happy to cater for all food allergy requirements where possible. We have been using this Chinese for a few years now, and just gets better, if you want less garlic,chilli or indeed more , just ask. Its OK to ask.. The owners and chefs are very skilled and produce the best Chinese food in the wider area. My personal favourite is deep fried beef in king do sauce. Its to die for. As the take away is small , a small wait is to be expected, but well worth it

Good quality Chinese food. Use garlic a lot so I don't buy a lot of the dishes as I don't like the taste of garlic. I usually have chicken sweet and sour balls. Closed on Mondays

Used on a few occasions as close, frozen vegetables which taste watery, odd sauces added to dishes which shouldn't contain sauce (crispy shredded beef) ribs were tiny and full of bones, like trying to eat a kipper! Should cook fresh and would make a world of difference instead of false economy frozen rubbish, such a shame, will stick to New Century from now on

La mejor manera de tomar que habíamos tenido durante años y recientemente intentó de nuevo para una segunda vez, que era igual de bueno. Sin duda, yo no creo que te quedarás decepcionado.

We have tried most chinese takeaways around here and this is the best by far. Service has improved too.It's a shame they stopped accepting card payments as we tend to order takeaway when we're rushing around so have ordered pizza instead so we didn't have to go to the cash point, on many occasions that we would have ordered chinese.

Always used this place, food was always great and good value until on a 2nd occasion we had uncooked pork / chicken. We have never used it since..

This is by far the best Chinese food in the area. Sadly they often get the order wrong or miss items.We once phoned to say they had forgotten an item and they didn't deliver it to us until 40mins later, by which time we had finished the meal. Any other takeaway's bring it straight round if it's their mistake. Another time they just refused to deliver the forgotten item as they were too busy. You expect to get everything you pay for. Offered a free dish next time but were very put out and rude about us requesting the free dish with our next order.

We have been using Golden Palace for years, we probably have a meal from them once a month, consistently good, helpful if you want something that isn't on the menu or you want a dish without a specific ingredient.Their prices are also very good, there are more expensive Chinese take-aways around Hinckley where the food isn't nearly as good!Everything always arrives hot, and usually quicker than the delivery time they estimate, haven't got a bad thing to say about them really!

Deciding we fancied a Chinese takeaway for dinner last night, we rummaged through the door drop menus and selected Golden Palace as it was free delivery and free pawn crackers unlike it's rivals. I was informed delivery would be 40-50 mins which I'd consider average for Sat night but was delighted when it arrived 20mins later. Sometimes i feel chinese takeout food can be gloopy and dull compared to it's restaurant counterpart but this was lovely and fresh with plenty of vegetables. Portions are a good size and very reasonable. Three ate for £17 and full to the brim. Next time we want Chinese takeout we will choose Golden Palace.
