Food was greasy and tasted awful ! I won’t be returning .

Great food, consistent quality and their set meal for two will easily feed 4!! There is also an extensive menu that should suit everyone. Good, friendly staff too. Car parking is available outside the front door! We've used this takeaway now for over 40 years and are happy to keep coming here.

Food wes very tasty...But I was only in the shop waiting a matter of a few mins..no way was it freshly cooked more like warmed up. And the bad stomach that followed I will not be using this take away again.

I've got to admit that the food we had from here has to be the est tastiest Chinese food I've ever had. Well recommended. Shame they don't deliver to broughton astley as they would be really recommended 👌

I love Chinese/Cantonese food and I've not had a decent Chinese for ages until trying hings .lovely red hot food and very reasonable priced .excellent choice and those sweat and sour chicken balls are fantastic.

Went there because I was staying at a nearby hotel. Cash only payment was a bit odd, but went ahead with it. The food preparation took approximately 3 minutes, which suggests the food isn't prepared fresh, and the taste confirmed it. Furthermore, the lady at the counter was pretty rude when I asked if I could have a spare container/paper plate so I could share the food with my son. She didn't give me one unless I paid extra, which is a bit unfair after I spent nearly £15 for some re-heated noodles and spring rolls. Excellent way to avoid repeat costumers!

We ordered a mixed grill and salt and chilli chips my steak was cooked but it was really tough but the bacon and sausage was undercooked and the chips were still hard and my husbands steak was raw In The middle and his bacon and sausage wasn't cooked properly either we had to throw our meals away won't be having this meal again

I will not order again from this place. The noodles i had was just some noodle water and some meat. I dont give bar reviews to any one but i cannot find any good about the food today

I’ve used this Chinese since 1981 !! (among others of course) Hings Cottage over the years have cooked a lot of food for us and is the first menu we reach for. Nice people, cooked fast and tastes great!

Never again. The food was cold and expensive. Flavourless chicken chow mien with processed chicken. The sweet and sour chicken was a mixture of chicken and pork.

Food standards seem to have dropped. Rice very greasy.

So today I have a upset tummy had So called Beek and tomatoes, beef was awful it looked like it had been boiled first and the texture 🤢.very disappointing!.

Great food and service shame they still don't take cards.

Salt and chilli chips are very tastless bbq spare ribs in bbq sauce the sauce was same consistency as water sezchuan chicken absolutely disgusting prawn crackers must have been 10 years old sweet and sour chicken balls were OK egg fried rice was ok chicken chow mien was not very good not worth the money very poor overall

Great chinise. However each time we pick up the there is a wait. Which is a bit frustrating. Also have to pay with cash Other then that throughly recommend.

Food was reasonable, nothing out of the ordinary

We don’t have many takeaways so treated ourselves. We have always gone to the same Chinese for years but it’s gone downhill so wanted to try somewhere else. Came across hinge cottage, ordered the food, took 20 minutes and went to collect it. Well the food was amazing, family loved it and was very surprised how good it was. Very hot, very polite and great service. Will definately return.

Decided to call in for some spare ribs in bbq sauce last night and when I picked up the bag containing them seemed happy with the portion size judging but the weight of it. As I began eating the ribs it was clear that the content was mainly ribs with very little meat content, I’m very disappointed especially at the £6 cost, will swerve this place in future

Absolutely terrible. Wouldn't recommend to a monkey. I rang them up because they'd missed something from my order and the woman on the phone needs to sack! She was rude, laughing at me and constantly telling me to hold on. Then she said they don't deliver to burbage when asked them to deliver it. In the end I asked them to refund and they said I had to go all the way back for them to refund me. I'm fuming. The quality of service is absolutely shocking. The crackers were stale! Never again. They are an embarrassment to Hinckley!

We ordered two chicken currys this evening . One was completely left uneaten and one was half eaten . Without doubt the worst takeaway we have ever had and we would even question if the meat was actually chicken . Terrible , would definitely avoid .

This place was recommended by friends and it proved to be as good as they said. Easy phone order...lovely rich curry with generous amount of king prawn unlike some places where onion and mushroom are the main ingredient. Fabulous prawn crackers nice food nice stafff.....I was impressed

Absolutely fantastic food and service.... The curry sauce is gorgous... I was always a fan of chinese food....but this take away has taken my breath away. I am addicted to the curried duck...it's a good job that I don't live in Hinckley...otherwise I would be eating every day there. You need to try the salt & pepper prawns...really nice!! I will be going through the menu slowly...hehe. You must try this take away and I promise you will not be disappointed... Thx Hings....x

Worst Chinese food I've ever had! I will Never be going back here. Doesn't even deserve the one star!!

Hings Cottage is a decent Chinese takeaway. Appears to be a small family run affair - simple but effective. The staple favourites like Chow Meins and Fried rice dishes are done well I.e. Not burnt and not greasy like a lot of places serve them. The prawn cracker's aren't that greasy either and are pretty good. The ingredients looks pretty freshly prepared which is nice and it all comes well presented. There is plenty to choose from one the menu, a few different things that other places don't do. I had a special starter combination last night which comprises of prawn toast, wontons, mini spring rolls etc and was all cooked well - not over cooked, not greasy. Probably all from a oriental supermarket, but cooked well nevertheless. The wontons actually had some filling in them!!! It is cash only which is a bit of a pain in this day and age, but the shop/off license on the corner does cash back when you buy anything, so you may as well grab a drink while you are there.

This happens all the time! Got the order completely wrong and what we did get was disgusting! Try somewhere else!

I have bee eaten all ove Hinckley Chinese take away but this is the best Nice service just take away .and they do speedy home delivery is well. That delivery driving boy also very nice polite name Sri .

Easily the best Chinese takeaway in Hinckley. I believe the present owners ran the former Chinese restaurant in the town. Alway great service and great food. Pre order over the phone and you can get it delivered or collect. Cash only though.

We had decided to try this place as live nearby and never been in before. The staff were friendly. I had the lemon chicken which was ok not the best I have had and the rice was also ok.
