Delicious fat pancake rolls Yummy 😋 The satay chicken wings are amazing 😍 the Hawaiian chicken is delicious. The chicken satay sticks are delicious seaweed was the best.We Had half leftover and reheated it the next day it was even more tasty.We loved all the food and we're looking forward to going back soon. Blue jade was the best take away a couple of years ago but is now awful! Rude and arrogant staff and very expensive.. Very sad and shouldn't be serving food with a 2 star rating

Tasteless. Nothing compared to the Beijing Terrace. Disappointing

Gave me a portion of rice instead of lemon chicken. They are always in a rush to take your order, they don’t seem to listen properly. Both my wife and myself had diarrhoea the next morning. In response to Blue Jades reply; you are absolutely correct, the reason for my wife and myself being unwell should be investigated further for the sake of public health. I have passed the details onto the local Food Safety Team, hopefully they will make further investigations further to the one they recently made. What was the reason for giving me rice when I ordered Lemon Chicken?

Awful food. Never again. Ordered crispy chicken in sweet chilli sauce - no sauce!! Dry. Special fried rice is awful too!

We were told this place wasn't very good by others, but decided to try it for ourselves. What can i say ? By far the worst chinese we've ever had. The food was greasy, tasteless and not even warn. Most of it ended up in the bin. Just terrible. Avoid at all costs. I wouldn't go back if they paid me. You've been warned

On reading some of the mixed reviews, dont take everyones reviews as gospel we decided to try and find out for ourselves, the food we had last night I found was cooked perfectly, hot and not disappointing I would definitely eat from the blue jade again and would recommend

Very bland food. My husband had Szechuan chicken which should be hit and spicy but it was tasteless. My chicken and bean sprouts was as bad. The egg fried rice was also not how it should be, it was just yellow coloured rice! Not good.

We are staying at Oxon caravan site a ten minute walk to the Blue Jade .when I arrived to be met by a nice member of the team . Meal arrived in 15 mins walked back to site could not believe the Meal was piping hot.also the size of each dish was humongous l can honestly say it was one of the best Chinese meals we have had.well done to all the staff. We were staying at campsite around the corner from here and decided on a takeaway one night, very popular Chinese takeaway going by the people waiting and orders being phoned in while I was waiting. The food was fairly decent for what we got, it’s always going to be different from our usual Chinese takeaway in our home town. The only downside was the tub of satay sauce, felt it could have been a bit more thicker. Would use again if staying at campsite.

We love this takeout and order from them regularly. All dishes are so tasty. Some of our favourite ones are chicken with chilli and salt, satay chicken on skewers, king prawns in black bean sauce and Singapore vermicelli. All good size portions and a good value for money. The staff are always friendly. Payment is in cash which is fine, the cash machine is right next to the Co-op.

Ordered chicken chowmein. The chicken was raw and the noodles were supposed to be in soya sauce but tasted horrible.

Don’t believe the last few reviews. I am a frequenter of Chinatown both in London and now Liverpool and have sampled many different takeaways. This one was excellent from the salt and chilli ribs , large spring roll(one of the best ever) and chow mein and Singapore noodles were excellent

Ordered takeout from here 28/1/23. This place has to be a joke! The worst effort of a Chinese meal I’ve ever had the misfortune to order! All dishes swiftly found the bin! Disgusting!!

We're new to Shrewsbury so just trying different take-aways. This has got to be the worst Chinese I've ever had. We ordered the same dishes we would order from any other and honestly it was awful. The majority of my meal went in the bin. The chicken was wet, odd really, as it it had been boiled. Sauce had no flavour and the chow mien was worse than a pot noodle. Will never go back.

reheated meat was dry and tasteless. Pancake roll not cooked through. About 70% went in the bin. Lesson learnt. No seasoning, just bland rubbish

Recently, I thought I would try this take away. While I was in the shop, waiting, the Male Server behind the desk started shouting at a Young Girl because she had not put the cost of her food in his hand quick enough. It was aggression, Harassment, Rudeness and totally unnecessary. I would not get away with this behaviour, why should they. They have lost my custom. Not that they had it to start with, the food is poor and they still don't take any kind of Credit Card, I wonder why????

Had a big order with 6 adults eating. Ordered on site and took approximately 10-15min for the food to be ready. Not bad for 7 main dishes and 2 starters, 3 sides. The portions were large enough and very hot still when we got back home and shared it out. The sweet and sour pork balls are very large and nice, chips were nice and crispy not soggy. Good spices and flavours in all dishes. Happy customer

We had a really good meal, special combo, singapore fried rice, king prawn satay and duck dish. All tasty and well cooked. We dont normally give reviews but in view of the couple of bad reviews that almost put us off going to this take away we wanted to say how good it was.

Probably the best Cantonese takeaway we've ever had and we've had a few. Great quality ingredients and everything fresh and hot. Staff friendly. Highly recommended. Shame we live too far to eat from here regularly

Worst Chinese I have ever had. The egg fried rice was missing one big ingredient that was egg. The mixed sweet and sour balls were made with chip shop batter and was that crisp they exploded when trying to cut them. The satay pork didn't taste of satay it was just spicy vegetables with a few bits of pork. Barbecue sauce looked like thin gravy. Half our meal went in the bin wouldn't use again. Very disappointed.

The best Chinese in town! Takeaway anyway .... The food is spot on and very reasonably priced! It is worth calling ahead, but it is pick up only and cash only, but worth it for the quality.

Every Wednesday throughout the year I meet up with others on our sheltered housing community room and order from here. The food standard has gone down. Last nights offering was overdone king prawn ball and fried rice. I will not be using Blue Jade again. Save your money. Poor food

Went here a few times during our two week stay at nearby Oxon Park caravan site. We found the food to be consistently excellent, well priced and plentiful. They would also 'tweak' the food e.g more saucy, spicy etc Can't speak highly enough about this takeaway. We'll definitely be back

Whilst staying at the near by caravan site, we called in here for a takeaway, I had a lovely meal, Singapore Chow-mein, one of the best takeaways I have ever had. Reasonable prices and good quality.

In an uncertain world Blue Jade is one thing you can rely on time after time, not the best Chinese I've ever tasted and I wouldn't recommend the Satay but everything else I've had has been immensely satisfying. Crispy beef with chilli, salt and chilli squid / prawns and singapore vermicelli are all triumphant and good value too. Definitely recommend.

Staying at Oxon Park so this place is handy.Does not accept credit cards so take cash.I ordered Hot and Sour soup a we bit too salty for my taste.Main course was Duck Satay with egg fried riceThe satay sauce was bland the Duck was over cooked chewy and had bits of cartilage the egg fried rice was yellowish places by us stir in egg and you get that streaking of egg in the rice.Overall disappointing meal compared to what I usually have in my local Chinese

Right, I have always made the trip to Pontsbury to Zennas for a Chinese as Shrewsbury really is lacking in quality.. especially when you compare to city takeaways.I went to Blue Jade about week ago and now again last night, it's some of the best crispy beef I've had and the house specials are YUM... the prawns are huge in the special dishes.Cannot rate this place enough.

Just had an amazing Set Menu for 2. Excellent value, could easily have fed 3! Clearly freshly prepared....veg nice and crisp and not soggy or overcooked. Meat nice and tender. The fried rice ....a dish in itself, with prawn and strip's of chicken and beef. Thoroughly recommended!!

Great food and very good portion sizes, all very tasty. The satay chicken and prawn crackers are top, the seaweed is a little too sugary. Staff are friendly, they don't seem to take card which is a little odd in 2019 but its been like that for years.

Friendly telephone manner, good value (set meal for 2), hot food. The beef was tender and juicy. The sweet & sour pork was not tough or chewy like some other places. Batter was just right.

We have used Blue Jade for the last 8 years or so and are happy to drive the 5 miles each way to do so. As we said in the review title, we've not had a bad dish yet, so are a bit puzzled by some of the negative comments. Obviously, everyone has a off day, so the disappointed reviewers may have just been unlucky. There is also the possibility that it could be due to what the reviewers are used to 'at home'. We lived in Hong Kong on and off for two years and so we believe we have a fair idea on what makes Cantonese food authentic or not. A few months ago we had friends round and ordered a selection of dishes as a hot buffet. One person announced he didn't like chow mein despite going back repeatedly for fresh helpings of - guess which one. When we told him what it was, he took some convincing. After a lively debate we found out the chow mein he had had previously, came dry in a box to which he had to add boiling water. No further questions m'lud.

We did not look at the reviews before we got our takeaway, we may not of ordered had we done so!We went on NYE as we were staying on the campsite, arrived about 7ish and waited around 15 mins for our food which I thought was really good.We orderedChicken noodle soup - hubby said it was tastelessHot and sour soup - it went in the bin, it had so much egg white in it, it had the consistency of porridge and tasted like water.Crispy duck - was very tasty, lots of pancakes and cucumber, spring onions.Lemon chicken - tasty and a good size portionSweet and sour pork - bad taste and the pork was really fattySpecial fried rice, tasted like it was microwaved, all the bits in it were hard and not nice.We paid almost £40 and the rice, soup, and pork went in the bin. Bought a Chinese meal here it was OK nothing bad or good. Was surprised to have to by boiled rice separately. This makes the price high to what I usually may back at home

Had a takeaway last night and the food was average as were the portions, would I order again, yes because I want to try something different! Rest of the party enjoyed theirs.

We had two meals from the Blue jade at Bicton on Saturday night, both were prepared quickly and the food was very nicely cooked. Will certainly use this chinese takeaway again. Very good.

We normally drop in here on a Friday night when camping up at Loton Park Hillclimb. The food is normally very well prepared and plentiful and we love buying food here. We'd definitely recommend it.

This used to be a good take away I used for over five years but had recently changed ownership. The food is now disgusting, it made my son vomit and my wife and myself could not eat it.

We were staying at Oxon hall caravan and camping site and fancied a night off cooking. Had prawn toast and ribs to start which were OK. I had sweet and sour chicken which was just a chewy mess and tasteless, husband had beef and black bean sauce which was average.definitely having an off night as it had come recommended, will think before having another takeaway from here.

Fast service and friendly counter staff. But I cannot stress enough how utterly terrible the food was. I honestly am aggrieved that I even have to leave 1 star so I can write this. There are many other takeaways in the Shrewsbury area, all are better than this one.

We visit the blue jade at least twice a week for the last 5 years and have never been let down. The food and service is the best in shropshire. We have tried many different takeaways but none are as tasty as here. They will cook half portions for children if asked and can leave out veg if you or your child doesn't like it. The blue jade is one of shrewsburys little jems.
