Staff are really friendly and helpful, thus extends to the delivery drivers. The food is always good quality and packed as full as the containers can possibly get. Their menu has a good range of options and their website has a reorder option if you don't want to stray away from your favorites.

Had another delivery was good as always!

Food was awful, 🙄 rice was all stuck together and dry, got charged extra as asked for something different to menu list, the curry was all runny, not much vegetables in it, mostly sauce🤢🤢🤢🥘. And the vegetables that were added were all very thinly sliced which were onions, peppers and mushrooms. Most other Chinese takeaways I've had, give you chunky large vegetables. Not impressed at all 😡😠 waste of money, we do not reccommend going here. They more concerned about money and you end up with less food. 🤢🤮🤢

We tried here again after our last experience of 1st June And to be honest why did we bother The curry had less meat and prawns even though when I ordered I did say bout the prawns took no interest The squid ring were rock hard This place has certainly gone down and we gave them a second chance after all the years we have being using them but this is definitely the last time we use this place

What a change a month made was my favourite Chinese after having the duck and chicken chow mein very disappointed Chicken is the cheapest you can get duck was looked liked it had been pre-cooked and was dry with no moisture in it everything else was what you would expect from a chow mein very disappointed from the meals delivered and ordered before is it a start of a slippery slope where cheapness overtakes customers enjoyment of a meal

I have always liked the Mayflower House for its food, it's aromatic, fresh and delicious. Yesterday we ordered food for our daughter's birthday, and it was excellent. We did have dishes in mind but we were suggested options and it turned out to be good. Super happy with everything!!!

We have being having takeaways from here the last 8 yrs Delivery very quick which sometimes I wonder how when they say 30/40 mins and arrive in 15 mins Ordered last nite a Mayflower Special Curry Large / Large Egg Fried Rice and 2 Pancake Rolls The Curry had 1 Prawn in it hardly any Beef or Pork just bits Chicken & Onions This place has gradually gone down We were ordering at least twice a week but won't be using them again As regular customers they have lost us

Another item missed off my order on 19th May. Found out when I got home at 10.20 pm. Phoned to let them know but no answer. This is the second time this has happened!

Quick delivery and I had a really nice vegetable Singapore fried rice here 🥰✨🌈 There was a problem, they delivered a Singapore fried rice with mixed meats but they were very kind to bring me the vegetable one quickly. There was a misunderstanding as I heard on the phone to keep it (so my friend ate some) but it seems like she meant keep it for the driver. So I am sorry about this. 😞

The service is always outstanding. We held a birthday party, the New Mayflower House is the first and best choice that came to our mind. As expected, the food was really tasty and delivery was very fast. We were had a great time. Recommend.

I would give half a star if I could! Chips tasted like they have been cooked at lunchtime and reheated. Chicken fried rice looked like it had been microwaved and never seen a Wok in it's life. The drink that came with the kids meal was an ASDA smartprice orange juice from a multipack. Very very disappointed will not go again!

Ordered from here last night. 20 or so minutes after my partner was throwing up everything she had eaten and could not come out of the bathroom all night it’s been over 24 hours and my partner still can’t keep anything down. I suggest if ordering food from here… you don’t otherwise you’ll be stuck with your head in the toilet. Was told over the phone couldn’t possibly be their food and we needed to prove it with a doctors note. Load of s*** don't recommend.

Taken over from cheylesmore house as best Chinese takeaway in the area. A little more expensive than others but worth it.

Awful. Just ordered a yuk sum prawn toast BBQ ribs and pancack rolls. Yuk sum was greasy prawn toast was also greasy and burnt. I have thrown the food in the bin and made toast. Normally use the Kenilworth Cantonese Which is quality forgot they were closed on a Monday. So Mayflower suggest you avoid. Go to the fish and chip bar next door or just go home and make toast

Place is a joke over an hour and a half still no food then phone us to say it will be about an hour before they would get it to us so cancel never go here again .stay away if you are after food they may or may not get it to you absolute JOKE .

Absolutely awful, asked for a Special fried rice I got a , boiled water chest nut, bamboo shoot dish in a clear bowl that was full of water , also ordered salt and pepper ribs, I received tiny knuckle type bites that would shame Iceland, hardly any meat on on them. I’ve ate here before and it wasn’t too bad, after tonight, never again it was so poor, if I was you I’d order from somewhere else, a good Chinese is very hard to find, especially in Coventry, this takeaway is one to avoid

Last night, phoned after an hour to see where food had got to. Was told they didn't have time to call me earlier (even though I had ordered on their own website) to explain delay. 1 hour 40 minute wait for 3 dishes, 1 of which was just egg fried rice. Nothing special and unenjoyable at 9.20pm when it finally arrived. Won't bother again.

After saying no onions, pepper and beansprouts in any of the dishes via delivery with uber eats last week I thought they'd made a mistake because all of it contained the above. After picking it all out for ten minutes the food I got to was actually quite nice. 2 weeks later (tonight) I ordered a diff'rent set of dishes SPECIFICALLY asking for no onions, beansprouts or peppers and guess what...... They've all contained the above again X2!! How can they get it wrong again and ADD MORE than what I've not requested

Lovely Chinese takeaway! Egg fried Rice is delicious, sweet and sour sauce is perfect but PLEASE for the love of GOD do NOT get the chicken balls. I have tried them a few times. Some occasions worse than others. The chicken texture is repulsive like chowing down on a lung. It is rubbery, moist and somewhat artificial on the tongue. You’ve been warned!!

While the food is good and well priced, customer service from both the restaurant and their chosen online ordering partner, Big Foodie, let's the place down. App shows 1hr window for delivery but after that hour passes its impossible to get through to either the takeaway or BigFoodie to chase up the order. Had to drive down and chase in person. Which was as much fun as it sounds.... Lots of crossed wired and misunderstanding. Eventually transpires that food had just left for delivery - however I still managed to get home before the delivery arrived! Now, I appreciate that it's a busy Saturday night but maybe change your expected delivery time on the chosen ordering platform or even pause orders so that you can catch up?

I meet up with my mother in Wetherspoons for curry Thursday but since this latest lockdown we have decided to get a Chinese and eat it at her house. We usually use one local to them, which is nice but they insist that it is the best. This week I introduced them to the Mayflower and they were blown away by the choice they offer and were very pleased to make their selections slightly different from what they always have. Great take away and will be using regularly whilst the lockdown is in place.

Absolutely rubbish. Ordered at 545pm online and food arrived at 830pm. Refused to accept it, Tried to phone but line permanently engaged. If you want good Chinese meal, go elsewhere.

The food here used to be great, I even had a good meal the night immigration dragged two of the cooks away in handcuffs but lately it has gone down hill fast, proper 5hite.

I will never eat from here again...tonight we ordered chicken curry...it was raw and pink inside. I phoned to complain and I was told it's the chicken they buy!!!! They replaced the chicken curry and took the old one away only to have the same problem again...I again phoned to be told well noone else has complained. The only reason I gave one star is because I cant give none.

However, I have just experienced the worst Vegetable Stir Fry I have ever eaten in my life. It was greasy and completely lacking in flavour. For the first time ever I had to add flavour - salt and soy sauce and a little of my wife's soup. This made it just about palatable. I won't be using the Mayflower again, any time soon.

The service is quite fast but not really friendly, nice food which is spoilt by being more oily than normal, I don't use salt but the content in this food is quite high and I rather hoped after last time it would be reduced giving the consumer the option to add their own but nothing has changed, a very nice meal spoilt by thoughtless kitchen staff

WOW - food was amazing on an obviously busy night - delivery was over an hour late but my goodness the wait was more than worth it. We had six separate dishes, each one tasted amazing and so fresh. The food was hot and we all enjoyed every last mouthful. Can’t wait to have the leftovers for lunch tomorrow!! ( you know it’s the best and has to be done!!) we have this every few weeks but that I have to say this was by far over and above expectations, mayflower house - thank you

Extremely unhelpful. Tried to find out if the products I wanted were vegan (tofu satay, mixed vegetables, i.e. no cream or eggs) and the response I got was "I'm not sure." Obviously don't care about catering for different dietary requirements, didn't seem bothered to find out the ingredients and I wouldn't trust them anyway.

Average tasting food with over the top prices

Had a delivery food was bland and tasteless gloop this is the 2nd time I have made and an order from here; first time was no better thought it may of been a one off clearly not. No flavour, no quality, worst Chinese I’ve ever tried

Such a disappointment. We were told when we ordered that it would be an hour wait. Whilst we thought this was very long we were prepared to accept it. However after an hour came and went there was still no sign of our food. We phoned them and they apologised and said it would be here in 15 minutes. 15 minutes came and went and still no sign of our food. Tried phoning them again but it was constantly engaged. After two hours (no exaggeration) our food arrived and no sign of an apology. I understand its Saturday night and it's busy but two hours!! The food was okay. We didn't get as many mini spring rolls as we'd ordered and the chicken wings didn't look nice at all so we didn't eat them.We've been regular customers for many years but we won't be ordering anything from them again. It's going downhill FAST!

Have used this Chinese for years ! We had a Chinese take away a couple of months bk for a family get to get her not to it’s usual standard. We had one last Sat told them the Mayflower Soecial Curry and Mayflower Special Rice dish would have more meat and prawns well we had a prawn in each 3 pieces of pork and 3 pieces of beef really discussing after lady on phone promised me she would sort it out !!!! Well they have lost our custom after being should loyal customers we definitely won’t be going bk

Oh dear. Website states that delivery is strictly within a 5 mile radius. I am 4.3 miles away however the online order was rejected. I'm glad this restaurant is doing that well that they are able to reject an order total of £78.00. . . Not to mention future orders. Bonkers !

Always great food and keep coming back again and again!

This establishment was one of our regular takeaways, until our last takeaway was horrible and returned. We had ordered a large chicken and mushroom curry with other items. We dished up and started to eat our food, unfortunately the chicken was like no chicken we’ve ever had before, talk about rubbery chicken, this had more rubber than a school rubber, but with a difference, the texture was like eating a slimy scallop, but chewing a car tyre, in which you were chewing and chewing. The wife and I placed the chicken to one side and carried on eating the what was left mushroom curry. As soon as I had finished I took the chicken pieces back to the takeaway and complained, the lady behind the counter was sympathetic, but stated I was the only one to ever complain about their chicken. I was refunded my curry money but not all of our order.

Based on the one dish I had from here it's a 4 for me - I asked for Cantonese style (battered) chicken with the Kung Po sauce dish, which wasn't a standard dish. Although I should probably reserve judgement having not tried more from here, I'd otherwise say that there's a surprising number of 5's

A rainy Saturday night I gave them a ring and was told 10 - 15 minutes. By the time I had got ready and got there it was waiting, great tasty food although I wish I had the bottle to try something else but after finding tiger Lil’s on the menu I am not sure if these tastes can be beaten!

It has been quite some time I've had a chinese since my fabulous local one changed owners. When my friend visited I reviewed Mayflower House and took some time to choose this one. The food was absolutely amazing and my friend and I could not speak through utter enjoyment. This is our first meal from here and certainly won't be out last!!! Great, satisfying meal with generous portions.

I tried for quite a while to get through on the phone, as the line was constantly busy and when I made my order I was told 20 minutes. When I arrived, I have never seen so many people waiting and coming in to make orders, which is good. I waited slightly longer than told but the food was amazing and well worth it.
