We went here last night as a party of 4, (Sat 26th October 24). It was strange as where we were seated used to be Crescent Cameras where I worked in 1972. Parking was simply non existent, and Uber cab service were pretty useless both ways. The food was good, big portions, but the drinks were very, very expensive, and the cocktails lacking in alcohol. The staff tended to forget about us, especially when we wanted to order our main meal. Because of the cost and the location I doubt we would return. The place was less than half full, for a Saturday night, that is very poor!

If you’re looking for a solo dining place, this is it, they have tables facing the window for single diners. I came here to try the black bean noodles, the noodles had a perfect texture, not too soft and the plenty black bean sauce - tasted slightly charred. I’d like there to be more meat, only had small slices very minuscule (there’s a seafood variation of it, so maybe go for that if you want more variety in your toppings). They also gave side dishes of some kimchi and radish for free, cups and water is on the table for you to self serve. You pay at the counter at the end, so just go up to the counter when you’re ready. Already pretty busy when I came even though they just opened. This place gave a family and home cook vibe, brilliant pricing.

Beautiful and has a nice intermate or family vibe. Iv seen families eat here and have a good time unfortunately my teens don't really eat Chinese so my partner and I go alone. The food is good most of the time but sometimes the inconsitances can ruin it especially if you like a certain spice kick. A couple of times it's been either too hot or bland. I personally don't use sauces to dip things like prawn toast or spring rolls but have had friends complain as dipping sauces aren't available to hand so food becomes too dry. The atmosphere is beautiful the staff are wonderful but the dinner prices are not exactly cheap but will concede that it is a lovely place for a dinner date. Most places in medway are casual dining so it is nice when you can find somewhere more grown up and relaxing.

I and my girlfriend walked into Lucky Star today looking for some tasty and affordable chinese food, and we were delighted to find exactly that! I ordered the crispy fried pork with egg fried rice, and she ordered the braised beef noodle soup. The pork was crispy and delicious, whilst the egg fried rice I had it with was possibly the best I have had in my entire life. The braised beef was tender and flavourful too. The man who served us was cheery, polite, and attentive to each customer. The atmosphere left slightly more to be desired, despite the rocking 80/90s music. I felt the restaurant floor was cozy but in need of some modernisation. But you quickly forgot about the surroundings when delving into the food.

Decor was really lovely and tasteful. Reasonable prices for food and portion sizes were fair. £5 for lager seems steep but I suppose its about right. They made my nana feel really special on her birthday singing to her! Great location and amount of parking. Also easily accessible for nana in her wheelchair. Would recommend the beef and green pepper in black bean sauce and the chowmein with soft noodles.

Do not eat here if you suffer with allergies. First, the waiting staff could not provide an allergy menu (they do not have one - in spite of the legal requirement to be able to produce this information). Second, when we asked for a simple half a peking duck, we couldn't have this either as the restaurant fries nut-based dishes in the same oil as the rest of the other food. I ended up having a quarter duck and my partner, with allergies, just had rice... and then she had an allergic reaction. Cross-contamination is rife in this kitchen. We will not be back.
