Great size portions , and good value too

Very nice young lad at the till, very helpful and efficient, can tell it's a decent hard working nice family, probably the best Chinese I had. The battered prawns were amazing

Used to go here at least twice a week as it’s Chinese food and also fish n chips but as of late which I’m not sure if it’s different methods of cooking or different oils but it all tastes extremely greasy even the chips leave a wierd taste in ur mouth fit a fair about if time afterwards so unfortunately due to that we havnt been for a while which is a shame cos it’s cheap & was our go too place

Overall good size portions. Squid well spiced up. Rise to dry and bland. A bit upset when asked for cuttelry that is charged £0.10 per one.

The pictures on the website don't do it justice. The food was good: the delivery fast; and it turned up hot, which I always appreciate. The only thing is, the portion size was humongous. The chicken balls weren't balls, they were chicken breasts cut in half. The special rice came in a tub twice the normal size. It's not a complaint, but you could have made 3 times the money on this food. If you have sent me one third the amount I would have been very happy.

Very tasty sweet and sour with good portions, and nice crunchy vegetables. Collected from the shop and it was all piping hot 👍

Cash only, but notice not visible so after ordering we had to find a atm (we're not local) Pretty expensive for a take away. Member of staff bit miserable Then after driving 20 minutes back to where we're staying I found a clump of hair in the lemon chicken and a piece of plastic in the chow mein The prawn crackers are incredibly greasy That's 2 dishes in the bin! Disgusting I would advice all to avoid. Only wish we'd checked here first No ask about allergies then found pineapple in the lemon chicken (wtf!)

Great delivery drivers and portion sizes

Bought the chips though delivery which was good but I'm Unsatisfied with the poorly made battle sausage half of the batter was just soggy and the chips were still really raw basically eating potato i am normally satisfied but this is really disappointed me as I paid so much money to get so little chips that were raw

18 quid got the most pathetic portion size. Half eaten crispy chicken. Awful chicken balls and pathetic size for sweet and sour sauce

Atmosphere only 3 stars because we always do delivery but the food quality and amount for price is well worth ordering we find 1 large meal lasts us 3 days food quality top notch Thank you chef and a big thanks to delivery driver

Easily the worst chinese in Tiverton, and we have some pretty bad ones. Microwaved spare ribs

Phoned for my delivery order and was surprised by the cost, as my own maths had been sadly lacking and I thought I was being charged too much. Having double checked and seen I was a plonker, I made my order. When it arrived in 25 mins(20 mins earlier than quoted), given my earlier questioning of the prices, my partner and I feared the worst. We shouldn’t have. Firstly the Salt and Pepper chips were the best I have EVER had, bar none. Proper chip shop chips, seasoned beautifully. Special sweet and sour balls were great too, special mention for the pork balls which were actually TENDER not dry and chewy like most other pork balls and the prawn balls were tender, moist and filled the batter. Lemon chicken was tasty and as expected, as was the generous portion of Singapore Rice Noodles. Plus the delivery guy was a nice friendly sort too. Stunned. (And full :) )

Love the food lots for your money to

I have given this establishment one star due to their customer service failures. We ordered some food and they failed to include this item in the order despite us paying for it. They then disputed this after the event and refused to put it right- in other words they took money and did not provide a service- therefore regardless of the food (which was okay) they cannot be trusted. Their solution was for us to pay again and go and collect the item that we had already paid for- beyond a joke. Avoid due to a lack of integrity and customer service.

Really enjoyed our meals - my husband’s fish and chips looked good and the Chinese dishes I had all seemed freshly prepared and just a bit nicer than most. Just 2 annoying small things which we tend to just expect now - the paying in cash is a pain as we often don’t have any so had to go to a cash point. And not being able to find a menu online was a bit of a nuisance so I’ve added a picture of the take away menu I picked up. We will definitely eat from there again though!!

Ordered chicken balls, took about 15 mins to serve. They were overcooked and were quite small. Threw most of it in the bin.

Having been totally ignored and in no hurry to serve me, I finally got served, by a very pleasant young lady. She warned me the wait was at least 30 mins, i placed my order and waited, ready in 25 min, drove 25 mins home, popped in oven for 10min, We were all really impressed, not greasy, not one sauce for all, not gloopy stodge!!! I'll definitely go back. Well done golden palace, now work on customer service!!!

Ordered at 17.10 they told me would be delivered within 30-45 mins finally got our food at 18.45 for it to be freezing cold absolutely disgusting

Awful! King Prawn curry, absolutely disgusting, bland, 8 prawns, very poor flavour in sauce, consisted of onion, peas, sauce, prawns and mushrooms, the mushrooms were all black and stained on the skin like they were OLD..... Also King Prawn chow mein, just as bad, no soy or sauce of any kind just overcooked dry noodles. We felt unwell the next day.... Cash only??? It is 2023.....

The food is good the delivery service really is atrocious. If you live outside Tiverton do not bother, you'll be disappointed

Great portion sizes. Food was nice. Shame they don’t take card but a lot don’t so not a problem unique to them. Will be our go to Chinese from now on.

Just had possibly the best fish and chips in Tiverton. The fish was freshly cooked, nice thin crispy batter and moist cod. The chips were perfect IMHO. The portion size and price was great too. Looking forward to trying the Chinese menu next. A great find and I would recommend.

Classic. Used to order here years ago, tried again this week. Great chinese, awesome chips. Cheap for the portion sizes. Loved the chow mein and chicken balls. Delicious!

an incredible cinese and with large portions. we had low expectations due to the external of the building and it also being a fish and chip shop, but it was honestly one of the best chineses we have every had. next time we are near we will go out of our way to come here again. also, get the crispy honey beef.

Recently moved to the area and tried a few different places. This is the only Chinese with good size portions, good value for money and isn’t greasy/stodgy! Definitely our only new too Chinese!

Ordered at 6.30pm to collect just after 7pm. Arrived and the place was chock-a-block with customers (a good sign), then more people arrive and no one is leaving with their orders. Turns out the kitchen had messed up the sequence in which orders were placed!8pm and the place is still packed and customers are getting HANGRY.☹☹Chips were dished up and offered to customers to appease them!Phone orders were still being taken!!!!At 8.20pm I asked for a refund and left empty handed, hit, frustrated with a headache.Such a shame as we were looking forward to trying this takeaway as Daily Chef is currently closed!GET ORGANISED FOLKSTAKE AN ORDER, COOK THE ORDER, BE HONEST ABOUT TIMINGS = HAPPY CUSTOMER!!

Messed up our order after repeating several times and when we rang to tell them they were very rude about it, insisting it was not their fault and they will not rectify the mistake. Ordered more chips and then she tried to charge us delivery charges again on top. Very poor customer service

Possibly one of the best Chinese takeaways around! Really nice hot food and plenty of it! All at a reasonable price!

A lot of food for your money but quality is far better than quantity. The onion rings had far too much batter on them. The sweet and sour sauce wasn't pleasant and the rice was soggy.

Take away was sent to wrong house and then some food items didn't arrive, when we phone to ask where they were the lady was VERY rude! Customer service is shocking!

We have both on a monthly basis Chinese is always plentiful and the traditional English is always generous and very tasty.

No he probado el pescado y patatas fritas, pero aquí tienen las entregas de casa regularmente la comida china que es abundante y sabroso.La comida es normalmente muy rápidamente y está bien caliente a la llegada.Solicitudes para platos calientes (fideos extra arroz singapur/) o curry están bien seguido y las porciones son generosas.Recientemente añadido una porción de patatas fritas a un pedido y la porción era enorme. Patatas fritas en su mejor momento cuando nunca envueltos y entregado pero sin embargo, no eran demasiado aguados y quedamos bastante caliente.Platos al curry con patatas fritas o arroz hervido (arroz frito 30 p extra).
