Bell Inn in Mid Devon

Only popped in for a quick visit with friends. The staff were friendly. They have a small beer garden at the rear. There is very limited parking outside, but it is almost impossible to get a space. They do food, but I would say it's more for drinking than eating.

From reading online reviews we thought we'd visit for a family meal and a few games of pool - friendly barman and chaps at the bar, but no longer serving food and the pool table wasn't set up, so not a successful visit.. friendly though!

We played skittles on Sunday and the people were friendly the landlord put food out after the match and it was good quality and plenty to go around, would happily recommend the Bell Inn and will be returning for a drink and food In the near future, thanks to all the staff at the Bell Inn for the warm welcome

This was a birthday treat for me during lockdown. My husband's meal of fried beef with green pepper and black bean sauce, was ok, but my sweet and sour chicken balls was awful. I don't know know how they made the batter, but it was half an inch thick, rubbery and uneatable, so all I could do was to cut out the small pieces of chicken and leave the rest.. the sweet and sour sauce was very sickly. I expect it came out of a massive tin of the stuff. No vegetables with that dish, so I was left feeling that I'd eaten something really bad for me. What a shame. Happy birthday to me!.

Absolutely shocking service! They sent us the wrong order so we called and had to argue for 10 minutes with 3 different muppets for them to agree to send us what we originally ordered after them firstly telling us ‘can’t we just make do?!’ They ended up bringing the wrong order again!!! and instead of getting the correct order (even after 1.5 hours later of when we ordered) they just refunded us cash and took the original wrong order!! We only ordered from them as they took take card.... Golden Lion is a much better choice all round! Never again... so rude and no customer service!

THE WORST CHINESE TAKEAWAY ON THE PLANET! Food looks and taste like wallpaper paste... Would be a good material to fill pot holes!

China bell is by far the best Chinese food in Cullompton, super quick delivery and always great food, staff are friendly would highly recommend this place

Bell Inn very busy Saturday night, food was excellent but i was told may have to wait an hour for delivery. Ordered 7.15 / 8.45pm delivered, needs to be improved. 📞 30 times before it was answered. Will go somewhere else because of this.

When we moved to Cullompton we were delighted by the Chinese takeaway food produced by the Bell Inn. Lofty the owner as he is known by everyone is friendly and makes you feel welcome if you pop in for a pint or two, have a game of pool or darts or just to have a natter with the locals, choose from the amazing menu or ask for what you fancy even if it's not on the menu and you won't be disappointed We are off on holiday this morning and couldn't think of anything better than to have a Chinese takeaway delivered to our door free of charge. Off to Greece so not sure what to expect from the food there so nicely looked after by Lofty at the Bell Inn.

I rang up to order from the Chinese menu and they said it would be with me within 20 minutes and it was. Professional on the phone and on delivery. Food taste great. Best Chinese in the Cullompton area. £12 min and FREE delivery if living within 3 miles so not bad. Food prices are standard for Chinese takeout. Only downside is need a bit more food choices and drinks need to be ice cold or cold upon delivery. Would of been a 5/5 if it wasn't for the downsides. I will be ordering again in the near future.

Took my family for a meal. It was all homemade and portions where generous which was brilliant for me. The staff were friendly and were very attentive to us. Heard they have a new menu coming out soon. We will be back to try. Good ales too Thankyou

As a venue for a quick lunch then ideal but fine dining it is not. Drinks from the bar ok but not a lot of choice. Dining area small and if going for Sunday roast then booking essential as one gets the idea they only cook for number booked. Going on the off chance might not be advisable.

arrived to have a drink dificult to park tractor but fine had two pints of very nice real ale barmaid maybe owner very nice friendly locals though i use to drink in here in the late 80s thanks will come again when im over august thanks

As from November 2018 the Bell Inn will be open under new management as a free house . New menu and are special Friday/ Saturday 10oz steak and all the trimmings for just £8.50 . Well thought we would try this out , new owners, food could not fault , mixed grill and sticky toffee pudding out of this world , cheesecake wonderful, well done

A proper pub with good beer and a friendly landlord, also the food not bad, a very nice garden for the summer time.

Not a lot to say about this place really apart from the fact that overnight it SHUTDOWN, so hopefully I have saved you all a wasted trip
