The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Still trying to figure out how 2 mains £12.95 and 10.95. 2 rice orders . 2 soft drinks, prawn crackers (we didn't ask for) 1/4 duck appetizer, two desserts and two coffees totaled over £90? To pricey for what you get. £90+ for 2? Btw the stir fry beef with garlic and chili sauce was way too spicy in spots. The coffee we ordered with desert came way after we finished desert and my cappuccino was like water.

I've been going for years and never had a bad experience

You have to ring and book. We went on a Saturday and it was busy. But I must say everyone was extremely efficient. Also very pleasant and polite. We went to the griffin opposite for drinks. Recommend choosing tiger beer here also. My hubby got calling and it wasn’t great but tiger beer was good. Will definitely be returning. Every time we drive past the car park is full.

Without any doubt, this was the worst Chinese food we have ever tasted. Strange texture for the beef and chicken, lord knows what it was. Left full plates of food which the waitress took away but no one approached us to see what was wrong. Never again.

Ordered munch box came in a plastic bag. Was barely any salt pepper.chicken in it. Probably 8-small pieces in total Said 4 ribs which consisted of 4 tiny pieces of fatty grisle. Which weren't edible. Chicken balls were OK. But it all tasted foisty. Was not very pleasant at all . Went in the bin unfortunately.

Just the 3 of us old friends went out for drinks. Two of us had lived in Bingham for a year and the other was staying in the hotel which is situated above their restaurant. We only had drinks on this occasion. The drinks menu was vast - so many gins! The cocktails were delightful and it was great to see an attentive, friendly bar staff with a mention to Liam, who creates the best cocktails in town! The owners attention to detail regard the decor must be seen to be believed. It's all so pretty and a feast for the eyes. A great place to meet up with friends, or just as a couple. We must try the food next!

Usually the takeaways I am used to from other places are those to be described as late, borderline cold and not necessarily worth the money. But not the case when I was recommended the lovely Dragon Pearl restaurant by my dear granddaughter. The evening started with a pleasant welcome from the staff and owner, who assisted to our table at every request. The food was splendid as I ordered the delicious seafood in the salt and pepper dressing, followed by the flavourful Singapore chow mein and a side dish of mini veggie spring rolls. Overall, I would highly recommend this local Chinese restaurant and definitely be coming by again!!

After looking at Chinese Takeways in Buxton, Peak District, it was hard to find a delivery service with good reviews, as most were old reviews with a score between 2 & 3, so we decided to ring the order through and collect it ourselves. We narrowed it down to 3 restraunts, The Great Panda, The China House and Kwei Lin, but we chose the Kwei Lin as this had the highest score of 4.2. This was the first time that we had visited Buxton out of season, as we normally visit in the summer. We found all reviews to be from around 6 months or older, nothing up to date. We were a bit dubious when we first turned up at the restaurant as it empty, with just a couple who were local, so we asked what it was like, which their reply was good and the food is nice. Our food was ready within 5 minutes of us arriving. So from ordering and picking up was less than 15 minutes. The food was hot and very tasty. So I would highly recommend the Kwei Lin and would like to thank the friendly staff for a hassle free experience.

We are staying at Finlakes and found this Chinese, which is about 10 mins away by car, we wasnt aware if they delivered to the park, but we are now aware they do. This has got to be one of the best Chinese takeaways I've had. The food was delicious and was piping hot and was good portions. The chicken chow mein was perfect, the chicken was cooked just right, and the satay chicken was lovely with a nice spice kick to it. The food was really good value for money. I highly recommend this takeaway, and when we visit again, we will definitely use again. Full compliments to the chef and friendly staff.

Brilliant restaurant with brilliant staff. Cannot recommend enough!

We celebrated an 80th birthday in the private function room. The food was amazing as was the service.

Excellent food and very polite service

Had a table booked for 6:30pm, ordered drinks which took about half hour to arrive and had to be chased, which ended up being a can from a fridge! It’s a set Buffett menu, ordered starters which agin took about 40 mins if not longer to arrive with more chasing and trying to order more drinks which arrived eventually with more chasing. We sat for over an hour and a half waiting for main course which didn’t arrive so we gave up and told them we were leaving as we had had enough of the terrible service and wait times… we had NO apology and the “manager” had to be called over as they didn’t know what to charge us for the starters with it being a set menu! There is absolutely no way we should have been asked to pay for anything with such terrible service and no food turning up… after being charged £35 for 2 drinks and a starter we left - very disappointed very disgruntled and will NEVER return… ended up going to another nearby Chinese to get a takeaway instead! Used to be a good Chinese but is absolutely appalling now! Don’t bother visiting!

Taste sensation!! Staying nearby for a couple of nights & wanted to find a Chinese restaurant. San's does not disappoint in any way- super friendly, smart but relaxed atmosphere & A-MAZING food! The crab claws, soft shell crab & scallops in garlic & chilli are to die for. Everything is super fresh & just a flavour bomb!! I'm gluten intolerant & this was not a problem- went through my order & made adjustments for me. Obviously a good takeaway too as plenty of customers turning up to collect. 10/10 Thank you!!

14 of us made our first visit here and we were not disappointed. Welcoming staff, excellent service, great 3 course set menu with plenty of food and different dishes. Will return!
