Had a great time. food was delicious. good service from the staff .all courses was so tasty. even the sweet so delicious

Eaten here a few times, really enjoy the food. Always fresh and arrives quickly after ordering. We especially love the chicken strips in curry sauce, absolutely lovely. The staff are very attentive and well mannered. Always a pleasant experience. We will definitely revisit in the future.

Come here today because my 2 boys really fancied an all you can eat chinese. It was empty with only 1 other family of 4 in there, the woman asked me how many would be dining. I replied 3, myself and my 2 boys. After she asked how old my 2 boys were,she apologised and said sorry you have to have 2 paying adults per head otherwise we couldn't have the all you can eat option. When I replied so I can't pay for 1 adult and pay for 2 children, she replied no. Not very fair if your a single parent just looking to take your kids out somewhere nice to eat. Menu on their window doesn't state this

We normally go here on special occasions so went today for our anniversary after not visiting for a while and I have to say the food had gone down hill and the price hs gone up again, shame really we loved this place but now very expensive especially if you don't like duck you have to pay for it were as before covid on a Sunday you had a choice if you wanted duck or not but not anymore

Delicious affordable food. Especially the all you can eat. The furniture and carpet really need replacing! Chairs are rickety and the floor is not really clean. Shame!

Our son recommended this place. Went and looked at the price of the all you could eat banquet. At £ 25:50 we thought it a bit expensive but had it anyway. How wrong the wife and I were. Every course you could order again & again. Soups, Starters, then Crispy duck with pancakes. By this time we were well & truly stuffed so we took a rest before the main course, followed by a dessert. The food was made to order and came out piping hot & was extremely delicious. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Definitely go back next time we’re up here & take the family too. Thank you for a lovely meal.

We visited the Summer Palace after arriving at another restaurant that we had pre booked for our anniversary was closed. The staff at the Summer palace are so welcoming, and you are not rushed and the food was lovely and value for money

Food is excellent. The portions are large but most dishes are £9.50 so if you have a couple of starters and 2 mains a a bottle of wine your on about £55 for one person.

My husband and I went to summer palace today as we had heard how nice it was. It is the best Chinese I have visited locally. The service was good and the food was really nice. We would highly recommend.

Popped in for tea off the cuff, bit of a low key quick Chinese and was very pleasantly surprised. Staff very helpful and pleasant and the food was excellent.

The service was excellent, starters were OK, crispy duck with pancakes were good, but the main courses were poor. The sauces were tasteless and the meat had an unpleasant texture. The wine list was good, but that didn't make up for the poor main courses.

Visited with family for a Xmas buffet. It was fantastic. The Soups, all the starters, the duck, the mains. All delicious. We made a mistake and ordered 2 x plates of starters through greed! We were stuffed. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Will 100% return in the future.

Wow the meal was outstanding as usual tonight. My friends and I asked for the upstairs on arrival. We did have a great night. Relaxing, eating lovely food . Our favourite was the banana fritter and ice cream... The staff were friendly especially Jessica She was smiling and so natural chatting to us when serving us. We will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely amazing food nothing to much trouble friendly staff lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be going back took our son for his birthday for a week night it was very busy

Great Food. Friendly family atmosphere. We visit this restaurant for take-away frequently or with friends for a more formal meal. Excellent not over -priced and very reliable.

Entered restaurant at 21:40. Met by waitress who immediately informed us that the restaurant stops serving food at 22:00. We read on the sign upon entering that on Saturdays it closes at 23:00. We did not question this and continued to order. When the food eventually arrived it was cold, bland and certainly not palatable. I work in a certain industry where we entertain this certain nationality and we ‘bend over backwards’ for them …. after this …. they don’t deserve it….they have never appreciated it anyway.

First visit but defiantly not my last, a very relaxing enjoyable experience, once shown to your table you mark off which soup you would like then up to 5 starters per person these come on a sharing platter, you can order these starters as many times as you like,once finished with the starters then the duck and pancakes arrive, once this course is done then you can order one main each at a time until had enough then banana fritter and ice cream my husband gave up after the duck. The atmosphere in this restaurant is very relaxed and you are not rushed at all if you want to rest between courses this is ok too we had two cokes two tonic waters and the bill came to £58,20 for the two of us and we came away knowing we had eaten a good meal, I will defiantly be coming back thank you

expensive for a all you can eat , i eat all over the country at all you can eats. only allowed to order 5 starters at a time for the whole table, plus one main course i prefair the buffet types where you can have a bit of everything , really salty food. duck was good though, beef dishes was inedible and chewy . wudnt go back

Food was ok but £23.80 each for age 10 and over is a rip off... Far better restaurants around who charge a lot less per head... won't be returning....

Avoid this place if you like Chinese food. The food and service is awfull. The owner did not like me informing me of such when at the restaurant. All I did is tell him the shrimp tasted off, which they were, could we get a replacement. He removed me from property and tried to fight me outside the restaurant. Mans insane.

The experience was amazing, food so tasty and freshly cooked. Service brilliant. Not been here for a few years but was so happy I returned. Definitely recommend.

Lovely food and friendly service

First time here for me…we went for a birthday party. Arrived and the restaurant was very busy indeed. We where seated. Now it was a buffet style but…you don’t go up, they bring it out to you. £22.90 adult 10 and under £10.90. Now I don’t like Chinese food so I didn’t eat. But from what I seen it looked fine. You are given a sheet at the start to pick 5 starters etc, once you have had enough starters you the. Pick mains. I was told by the party that it was fine and nothing amazing which is what I guess most buffet style places are like. Service was fine and very polite so couldn’t fault it. Parking at rear is free after 6:30pm too. Only 1 desert on the menu banana fritter too.

Good food. Skip the All-you-can-eat buffet though. Not really worth the £20+ they were charging per person for it. Go for individual items, much better value.

Im quite fussy about chinese food but i found it really nice and freshly cooked. We really enjoyed it and would definatly go again.

Staff are friendly and the food is good. It's a staggered 'all you can eat' banquet for £21. You just order each course as you go and can get more if you'd like it. Beers are just under a £5.

I really can not praise the staff enough, Arranged for my daughter to have meal here with her friends (all who have additional needs) to celebrate turning 21, The staff were amazing and made each one of us feel very welcome. The food was absolutely fantastic and just kept on coming we all left feeling very satisfied and happy. Why we have not visited this place before I do not know but will definitely be visiting again very soon. Thank you so much for helping us celebrate a very special occasion.

The chicken curry was poor. It was not the heat that was wrong as they had spiced it up, but the dish was pretty tasteless without aromatic flavours. Very disappointing. The wine was good and service excellent.

At first we were disappointed. The soup we chose wasn't particularly tasty. But the starter, which we ordered three times, and especially the Peking duck at the end were really tasty.

Staff were brilliant. All you can eat buffet which was amazing. All food very tasty and nice and hot. Service good. Masks worn by all staff and asked to use hand gel on entering. Only downside was restaurant was very cold. Over all very happy and would recommend 😊

Went here last nice best all you can eat I’ve ever had service is brilliant food is outstanding cost £110 for 2 adults and 2 children but we paid full price for one of our kids as he was over 10 we had 3 drinks and each with that price well worth every penny spent the one negative I have is that I was too full and went sick 😂 clean and traditional restaurant

Another excellent family meal out at the Summer Palace. Everything is cooked fresh to order, is great quality and is served by friendly, helpful staff. We love it here 🥰 Would highly recommend.

Ok so after looking for some reviews of were to go for eat as mutch Chinese summer palce looked best. alot positive reviews and yes it was a good choice food was spot on and one thing that I liked they made me feel welcome when I wanted more so ye it's a thumbs up from us .

My friend likes it here so its a usual meeting place, never booked but this would be recommended on a Friday or Weekend, was shown to our seats and given a menu and an order slip, opted for crab soup that didn't disappoint and a selection of 5 starters, ribs and prawn toast both highly recommend with fresh seaweed and salt & pepper chicken, we then ordered a further 5 starters this time with spring rolls and won tons, chicken satay, all was lovely ( note you get one each on each order) We then had duck that came out hot and shredded again lovely, you then choose a dish each that included all meat dishes or king prawn, and rice, noodles or chips, and then the ultimate banana fritters, the restaurant is spotlessly clean even the toilets with very good covid measures in place and a 5 star hygiene rating, car park to the rear also, would recommend some lighting here but its council property so not the restaurant responsibility. This restaurant certainly stands the test of time.

Ordered a takeaway curry,worst Chinese curry sauce l have ever had. It was just water with a little curry powder stired in it, tasteless.

My family always enjoy going to this restaurant as the food is always yummy and hot. The servers are always helpful as well. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to try.

Staff were friendly and food was ok, but due to being ill I could only eat 3 mouthfuls of food, didn't order a main or a desert & was still charged full rate of 19.90, seemed a little excessive as could visibly see how sick I was. But other than that it's a nice place to go

Had the banquet it was freshly cooked n there was plenty food the staff friendly gave you plenty of time to eat no rush while waiting for table the staff changed table cloths whipped chairs made sure the arrear you where going to sit was clean all tables separated really enjoyed my time there thank you x

If you like authentic Chinese food, this is not the place for you. Asking about the food will anger the staff. Everything appears premade, out of the tin. The owner is rude as well. You know a good Asian restaurant when other Asians eat there and you will find none here.

We went on Friday for a birthday meal out. We regularly visit this restaurant as it is our favourite Chinese and the food and service is always the best. I will always recommend this restaurant as the food is hot and you can eat all you want from soup (the chicken and sweet corn is my favourite), to starters and mains. Yum!

Took my son for an impromptu scoff and we had a lovely meal. All you can eat buffet including duck. Walter was great and service spot on. It was freezing though so we kept our coats on!!

Great decor inside. We went on a Sunday but they do all you can eat everyday. We were given 2 menus - one had duck on and more starters so we went with that one for £18 each. You could chose a soup which was lush then 5 starters at a time. I liked it like that as it means less food is wasted and also it’s not a buffet where food stands out for hours and other people touch it!We then had the duck and a main course then a dessert - chose from banana fritter or ice cream. I felt staff were friendly.Its not the best food you’ve ever had and actually I downed a pint of water after as it was so salty but I enjoyed it and would try it again!
