Weve been ordering from Silver for years. Last 2 orders have been awful. Whats happened..new manager or chef? Sad to say we will be going elsewhere.

Overpriced "meal' I've had in while..... Sweet chilli chichen half and half....... Mostly sliced Carrots.... What a rip off

My favourite meal is Duck curry with fried rice I have never used Silver River before but I got a duck curry and fried rice a few days ago it was the best duck curry I have ever had good price an good size Portions keep that up and I will certainly be coming back for more.Len.

Great food and the people who work there are very nice, would recommend trying the pineapple dishes and the kung po dishes

The food was amazing especially the salt pepper dishes and also the sweet and sour dishes are also a must try. The staff were really friendly and always willing to help if we had any needs!

Just been in & got a meal & portion of sweet & sour sauce. Got home & found the sauce was stone cold!! Very disappointed, couldn't be bothered getting the car out again to take it back, but for future reference please make sure you check your food before leaving.

Normally really good food, the chicken fried rice was beautiful but the chips were not nice, tasted burnt just not the normal standard. Was really disappointed as spoilt our treat.Will give it a few weeks and try again and hopefully it’ll be back to it’s really good standard

Ordered last week for home delivery via telephone. One of our meals were wrong due to miss hearing the order. I had to pay extra for another meal to be delivered. Tonight we have give it another go.... Unfortunately chips were dry and mostly burnt and fried rice tasted like mush.. we ordered because this place has a good reputation. After 2 awful experiences never again. Waste of money.

Been coming here about 3 years now . Best chippy by far locally. Little bit of a dip recently but still really nice Really busy, quick service Much better than Hungrys and the likes locally

Worst meal I have ever had from this place, normally the food is good so I really don't know what happened. I ordered sweet and sour king prawns in batter with fried rice. The batter around the prawns was still raw when I cut them in half. The sauce came in a container which was like water and it was stone cold so had to heat it up in the microwave which I poured over the fried rice. I had one mouthful and that was enough as the "sauce" just tasted of pure vinegar. Total waste of money. I really won't be ordering from here in the future 😞😞😡😡😡

People pleasant but chips not nice, chicken pie was soggy. Wouldn't return.

We had a banquet of food delivered as we had friends round and we hadn’t seen them for a while. Delicious food and very efficient with delivery service. Highly recommend:)

Poor quality & amount of food .. chicken was black under the batter , chicken & sweetcorn soup was just sweetcorn soup. service was quick food was awful . i ended up throwing most of it away in fear of food poisoning..... AVOID THIS PLACE

I have only bad thing to say about the food .We ended up binning are food in fear of food poison the meats in the meal were like rubber & the prawn tasted off . I had to spit it out it tasted so strong and bad .STAY AWAY FROM HERE

We had a brilliant dinner here. Ordered sweet n sour chicken, beef in black bean sauce, chicken breast, fried rice, salt pepper chips, it was all hot and perfectly cooked. It's a clean taste and if anyone says staff is rude they need to think twice. The staff are helpful and seriously nice. Clean, fast and helpful you will enjoy your food from here 😊

What an awful meal. Was recommended this place by a friend. Wish I hadnt listened. We had totally tasteless chips and sauces with meals. There are so many other chip shops in the area which are so much better.

I tried the food today and it was amazing. Although, both the roast duck fried rice and beef fried rice were tasty, I preferred the roast duck. The chicken nuggets were tasty as well. Let me just warn you, the portion size for the fried rice is huge. The only thing I would change is if they had made my special szechuan special alot more spicier. I would recommend it to anyone who craves for a late night chinese food.

Best tasting Chinese food we've had from anywhere around us. Not greasy like some you get but still full of flavour. Now this review was posted a few months ago. I am reposting with an amendment. 1 week ago we had another meal which turned out to be the worst meal we've ever had. The meat didn't taste like all like meat and it was totally flavourless. Talk about two extremes. Like anywhere I guess, it depends on who is cooking the meal on the day. Unfortunately for us, we've lost trust in this takeaway. Such a shame.

We have a delivery quite often here and it never fails, the hot n sour soup is amazing and packed with meat, prawns and veg including baby corn. We also hade fish wich was lovely and the batter light and salt n pepper chicken. Much better than other chip shops in eastham and bromborough. The delivery drivers are always pleasent and fast delivery too.

We order from here when family come to visit because the food is always freshly cooked, very tasty and good value. I have even given an order for 28 people's food and had it delivered. Everything was hot, individually wrapped and correct. You can't get better.

Food was always decent but recently saw the food hygiene rating so wont be risking it.

Whenever we have food from this takeaway it is always freshly cooked, hot and reasonably priced. We even have family who come from St Helens so that they can enjoy a "silver river"

Usual good chinese food they deliver to the local area to. Always busy , my only gripe would be that at times the chips seem dry and very crispy. Other times they are delicious and that’s letting them down at the moment but ignoring that fact a pleasanter place to visit nice and clean surroundings. Closed tuesdays.

When we decide to her a takeaway Silver River is always too of the list. Every time we order a delivery we get within 30 mins. The food is always consistent same great taste every time.

Absolutely love the Chop Suey rolls from here very very tasty and not too greasy. Hello I haven't used it I believe they do deliveries as well to the local area.

Ordered a chinese for the family, will never go here again, beef green pepper had one slice of green pepper in and i’d be surprised if the meat in it was beef! Chicken chow mein was bland with hardly any chicken in it. Chips were ok but thats about it

This is our local takeaway we tend to go for one king prawn spring onion with fried rice and add a portion of small chips which is plenty for two. Did the same last night and as usual it was excellent, prebooked on phone and was ready for collection in no time and tasted as good as ever,

Still as good as it always has been, however portions have dramatically been made smaller, with the large chips being what would be expected in a normal portion and the fried rice barely filling the tray. It's a shame!

The best chinese takeaway in Eastham/Bromborough. I would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a cheaply priced and tasty take away.

Very small portions, fish & chip batter stuck to crispy duck, which wasn't crispy just warm & greasy. Hoi sin sauce with garlic salt? Couldn't finish duck , due to overwhelming garlic. Awful 😑
