My new favourite Chinese takeaway. Fresh produce and tastes like Chinese used to taste. If you get the chance go into the shop and collect your food order. I did and had a lovely conversation with the owner. So nice to have a bit of family / buisness back story. Id also recommend the food .

Great to find a simple old fashioned Chinese takeaway. Having moved from Sutton Coldfield to Freshford to be closer to our daughter in Bath we have missed our Currys and also Chinese restaurants of which there were plenty . So we were delighted to collect a take away from here and really enjoy it 👍👍

We got a takeaway for friends on my birthday and everything was (as usual) great. The duck in particular with pancakes was really succulent with just the right amount of crispy skin and loads of meet. Friends enjoyed a real mix from the menu from chicken fried rice, sweey and sour chicken, salt and pepper chips, prawns in oyster sauce - all were huge portions and delicious. Would recommend and will use again.

The experience was very poor, especially since the waitress, who barely spoke English, didn’t explain anything and added nonsense to the bill, pretending everything was normal. She confidently presented us with a £160 bill for what was just a simple meal for me and my wife. We actually ordered a set from menu meant for 2-4 people, clearly said we’d share it, and our son ordered a separate Gong Bao dish. But the final bill had us charged for four sets x4, which theoretically would feed 16 people, plus the extra one. It was such a scam that no one even bothered to double-check or ask if this was a normal. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone because of the service, customer care, and the attitude towards guests.

Fantastic food and service. Always get the crispy chilli beef or sweet and sour chicken with chips.

Decidí tener un chino con la novia y la suegra, escuché un montón de buenas críticas sobre la porcelana real, y para mi consternación fue horrible. Las papas fueron quemadas y definitivamente fueron recocidas. La carne de chow main sabía que el DOG era insípido y como masticar una banda elástica. El arroz estaba frío como la piedra y ni siquiera me hace comenzar con las salsas que pedimos. La salsa barbacoa era de rango puro y parecía y sabía a una salsa especiada, la salsa cantonesa era simple y sosa. Lo mejor de la comida completa fue la galleta de gambas y aún así no tenía curvas ni ranuras para colocar la comida. Pedimos que se la entregaran poco después de las 11 y media, no llegó hasta una buena hora y 15 minutos después. que en ese momento ya habíamos pasado nuestra etapa de hambre y solo queríamos ir a dormir.

I had 3 kebabs with a chicken burger. The burger bun was muldi green.I took a takeaway but everyone lost their appetite when we saw the bun. I feel sick!

They are definitely don't care about customers satisfaction anymore. I just ordered shredded beef in chilli and garlic sauce and there wasn't sauce at all, the meat wasn't meat just fried coating as hard as I could break my teeth. Not recommending to anyone.

Staff are super friendly. Great food and reasonable prices. Very quick and tasty.

By far the best Chinese in the area. We've tried lots of others but always end up disappointed and wishing we'd just gone to Westpool. Good sized portions and the staff are always really friendly.
