The restaurant called me 5 minutes after my delivery time to say it would be 19:00. Had to contact Just Eat for an update. Finally arrived over 1 hour and 15 minutes late. However, the food as always is perfect. Thank you.

excellent Chinese food...me and my husband are fussy with food and this is one place will continue to eat from...food red hot, freshly cooked and always early on delivery time....be nice if they did a loyalty card or something like that rather than the free crackers...be nice to have something different if you spend so much each week...thanks lotus house we really appreciate you all.

Delivered - crispy duck - not crispy and not fresh - warmed up The Thai garlic chicken wasn’t fresh either and the veg in the shredded beef wasn’t fresh and tasteless. Disappointed - nearly £50 spent 😕

slop , cold chicken had no taste rice wax cold , chips were cold , thought I would try them bring as I have moved and there local . but won't be using the again..ruined the whole evening, and try putting some meat in those pancake rolls , after two mouthfuls of pure beansprouts decided to cut it open to find one prawn and one piece of beef . dreadful

My roast chicken came and it was just roast bones and the chips were under cooked

I placed my order at 6.43pm & it stated delivery would be 7.35pm. It arrived at 8.15. 1 hour & 30 minutes to wait for a takeaway is horrendous.Due to having waited that long i also lost my appetite. I shall think twice about ordering again from this takeaway.

over 2 hours late! rang up twice. got two messages saying it's going to be delayed. will not be ordering again.

Took over 2 hours and 30 minutes to deliver after order was made, no compensation or apology was given. After delivery we come to find that there is close to no meat in any of the dishes, for example in the shrimp dish, there was only 4 shrimps and the rest was sauce and vegetables; for the price we paid we expect more meat in the dishes and more food overall along with better delivery. For £48 the food was not for 4 adults but 4 kids.

Ordered via Food Hub for the first time, told 20 mins so as only 19 mins walk to go collect i headed off. I arrived just as i got the text to collect. Told woman my order, name, she showed me the order receipt i said yes. I noticed a foil tray with food in on the side so i thought just been dished up. Yet to be covered. I got home the food was dry, hardly ant Peking sauce, was one big lump, congealed, took a mouthful and it was cold!!! Thought im not even going to bother microwaving it! So contacted Food Hub whom were very apologetic. Listened to what i had to say. They contacted Lotus House according to LH i was 15 mins late hence why it was cold. Funny that did they not think food left uncovered not kept in a,warning cabinet would make food cold! Also i had arrived just as i got the text to collect. The Takeaway obviously was awarded the 3 food rating from Derby City Council for a reason obviously food hygeine isnt excellent and matches the fact they take no responsibility and call customers liars. Used to.be a good takeaway i stopped going because of covid, and upon easing up went to Taste House in Allenton as LH didn't reopen immediately. Im guessing change of ownership with poor ratings, reviews, presentation of the premises and the production of the food! I won't be using Lotus House again that is for sure They also have the audacity to charge a sneaky 50p service charge! Also you are supposed to get free prawn crackers but you did not!

Great food and early. Everyone was starving so fantastic.

Yesterday it was my birthday - A young 67 and I can tell you this was the best Chinese meal I have ever had (6 of us) I had special chow mein and everything from the noodles to the vegetables was really fresh. TOP scores and thank you very much Loved the banana fritters as well !! Geezer Alvaston

We ordered chow mien particularly for a friend that will only eat this and it was not tin the order delivered. I rang the restaurant and was told they are too busy to come again even though I ordered this early and suggested I get a refund. Very very disappointing and I had to cook something for our friend which I did not expect to have to do so

Food arrived 2 hours after it was ordered, most of it was cold, and the chips were soggy and inedible. Called the restaurant twice and was told the driver was stuck in traffic and they didn't know where they were. Customer service not great as I stated, I wanted to cancel but was told I had to give them 15 minutes, then called again, and it was another 10 minutes. Not great customer service, so we won't be ordering from them again.

Took 2 hours from ordering to arrive, food had been out for delivery for one hour so turned up cold , soggy , and uneatable, their excuse was they didn't know where their driver was , what a joke and poor customer service, won't use again

Wasn’t happy with our order when I checked the app to see the process it said it had been delivered so had to ring up for them to tell me it was still at the restaurant and would be another 20 minutes by the time it arrived we wasn’t hungry.

Food is good, and the service was quick and easy. Very clean inside and good to chat to while you wait. Great selection on drinks and good requirements on food allergies and intolerances.

Absolutely lovely food! Best spare ribs I've had in a long time, the ribs have plenty of meat and fall from the bone! Lovely chicken and king prawn balls, along with everything else we have ordered. I can't fault them at all.

First time we ordered was fantastic so wanted to see if still the same on second. We were not disappointed. The food was hot, excellent portion sizes, tasted great. All round excellent. Wow! Amazing food. Nice portion sizes. We had the duck with pancakes and they were delicious. The prawn crackers came free and were excellent. Will definitely be having future orders. The food came nice and hot too.

Avoid everything hard, prawn crackers included, food very dry, even the fortune cookies had nothing in, and waited 2 hours for this as well, very disappointing never ordering from here again!!

Food tasted alright but I spat out a piece of what looked like metal shavings or a food tie from the chow mein, and a sizeable bone chunk (looked to be chicken) from my sesame prawn toast. I liked that they texted when the food was on its way, but it was delivered by a car with what looked like the delivery person's whole family inside; the man who came to the door paused on his way to point at something in our garden and comment on it to the woman in the front seat of the car. The whole thing was wierd and uncomfortable. It's a shame as we used to go here regularly, but we stopped when we moved to ordering on delivery as other places were cheaper.

Delivery driver arrived with a car full of people, wasn’t to keen on the idea that my food could have been passed around by all the passengers.

After entering my local Post code and selecting the lotus House in Cramlington the order was put through to a restaurant in Derby which obviously I couldn't collect as it's not in my area. I want to request a full refund

Excellent value for money. Food arrived early, and it was the temperature of the sun, amazing! Meal was delicious, can't fault a thing. Delivery driver was lovely too!

Used to be great place for takeaway not any more if you want to pay by card they charged more money so your not paying the price that they advertise in the menu. With the way prices are nowadays this is ridiculous.

If icould give 0 stars I would. Absolutely awful place, food was cold, tasteless, paid for a set meal but wasn’t given drinks, called up to ask where they were and was told it was an old menu. After talking back and fourth, finally promised to deliver the drinks, waited in all night for them not to turn up ….. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Had the “dinner in a box” which in reality is a standard Tupperware box with noodles and curry sauce. Barely any chicken, about x3 pieces and portion size was pretty small. Wouldn’t order again.

Ordered a few meals. House special Chow main is terrible. 6 small pieces of dry, old and overcooked meat with a massive bunch of pasta. Definitely not worth the money. I didn't paid for pasta with sauce. I paid for a meal.

Confused on what was what, crispy chicken in spicy sauce had no sauce and wasn’t crispy, special fried rice didn’t look appealing at all. Slimey texture. Not worth the money spent unfortunately

Beef in black pepper sauce. Not much sauce and tough beef , the Thai special was lovely and all arrived still hot .

I had onion rings which been tasteless, everything else was ok nothing special - average.

After not meeting the collection time .I asked for some prawn crackers to be told they were £2.80 when going to pay by card they were trying to charge £3.30 when questioned they said yes but you are paying by card so costs more.the place looks un sanitary and the staff rather rude .I did get some prawn crackers from another Chinese takeaway for £1.40 .I will not be returning

Delivery estimated between 45-60 mins. When ordered the delivery time was over an hour and then was late by 20 mins. Delivery is all part of the experience and satisfaction of ordering. This needs to improve.

Staff are rude and the owner is clearly emotional we ordered £68 worth of food that was cold and inedible got a refund off of justeat as food was terrible and now my address has been black listed and they won’t deliver there so poor service for a over priced Chinese

I have been ordering from Lotus house Chinese for 15 years, however after tonight it is the last. I received 10 prawn balls when I ordered mixed balls. All the rest of my order was correct. When I contacted the Chinese the lady on the phone was so rude, refused to deliver me some chicken balls to replace the ones missing. I was told that if I wanted them replaced, I had to take the prawn balls to them to prove they was not chicken. I paid for delivery and they would not even come back to the property to collect the food. Not only have I been insulted on the phone, accused of lying, no loyalty to a long standing customer who has supported their business but have also been robbed of money for an incorrect order. Absolutely no words, I am very disappointed. Don't waste your time or money as if they make a mistake you won't get your money back or the order corrected.
