delivery type restaurant but a very good little spot if looking for chinese food delivered or collection

This used to be one of the best chinese takeaways in the area. Best chow mein and munchy boxes. I dont know whats changed - if its the new cook, new management… but the food quality went downhill so much. Very salty, often burnt. It’s not the same as it used to be, which is such a shame. Wont order from here again

I Iive near by and collect so can’t give opinion on delivery but I’ve always enjoyed their food, good portions and reasonably priced, food is ready in good time from ordering, usually about 15 minutes. The premises could do with a lick of paint and it looks a bit run down but the staff have always been nice to deal with.

The chips were a bit soggy and the chow mien was oily but still good

Ordered King Prawn with cashew nuts but there wasn't a single cashew nut in the dish so they must've forgotten to add any! Otherwise food was good and arrived hot

Lar Chee chicken was extremely tasty. Definitely recommend. This is always my go to for Chinese takeaway it’s always good. Early and fast delivery also.

My go to Chinese. Unfortunately the duck spring rolls came mashed up and stuck to the bag. The one spring roll which left was inedible. Not even sure it was duck as it had little pink mushy bits (looked like mushed prawns, but can’t really tell) has put me off the rest of the order. Will try somewhere else next time

Nicest Chinese we have had in a ling time. Delivered quickly, nice and hot and very tasty. Crispy beef was actually crispy- that's a first 😉👍 will definitely order again and recommend to others.

I was inside shop for order my dinner and I heard from the kitchen “I have 30 years experience” probably new “chef“ I ordered salt chilli chips with salt and chilli rips- so chips flavoured fish (I have seafood allergies) but ribs is so salty and hard,even my dog doesn’t eat them. Never again

I ordered king Prawn with Fresh Ginger and Spring Onions but there was NO spring Onion AT ALL. The dish contained more sliced onions than anything else. It was the worst Chinese meal I have ever had. It was greasy, tasteless, and had NO spring onion and very little king prawns. It was disgusting!

Had beef black bean sauce and special curry good portion and was so fresh tasted amazing defo going back 😁😁😁

Only used this take away twice and can honestly say it’s one of the best Chinese meals I’ve had I’ve tried a few things and they certainly don’t shirk on portion sizes

Yum! Juicy prawn toast and flavoursome curry. All the ingredients tasted fresh and delicious

The delivery was prompt, in fact slightly earlier than expected. However, the batter used for the chicken balls was too thick, as was the sweet and sour sauce, and whatever oil they used to cook with gave me indigestion. The Rice was good, though. Likely won't be ordering from them again.

Love this take away food amazing

Always get same food usually but changed it tonight and got the salt chilli chicken. Wasn’t the best and wouldn’t get again was chewy and fatty. Not crispy. But always get the chicken balls. Amazing. And their bbq sauce is dynamite.

New to Edinburgh myself, simply the best shredded chili chicken, sauce separate with fried rice. Perfect friendly service too!!

I am genuinely not one to complain and have been tolerant of lateness as you will see if you look up how long many of my JUSTEAT orders have been but this will be my final order. It is unacceptable to call and just be told it’s running late. Even allowing an hour for delivery (a long time!) this was 1h39 to be delivered. Some compensation is normal. Tonight after calling twice I was given two pounds. This is the least that could be offered after my many orders. Not ok.

Main dish missing for the second time

Very disappointed food just arrived at mines called at 6.45 and it's now 8.10 food warm absolutely so disappointed

Char sui pork wasn't char sui. Plain pork, sweetish thin gravy, minimal veg. Satay chicken meat was either a reheat or seriously overcooked to end up like rubber. Disappointed with first order from this takeaway, chosen because of good reviews.

Disappointing! Food arrived cold and did not taste good at all. The chilli chips were greasy and cold, almost like the oil they were fried in was not hot enough or old oil used.... Really couldn't eat them, The egg foo young full of onions and swimming in liquid. Sadly this is a customer that won't be back!

Good Choice never disappoints. The Chilli Spare Ribs starter and the Breast of Chicken Curry main course were delicious. The best Chinese take away in North Edinburgh!

Portion absolutely shocking and rude staff on phone.

Really unhappy as we order regularly from this restaurant. They did not deliver the sesame prawn toast we ordered and when I called the restaurant to highlight the problem the owner said she counted 8 items and that we must have received it! Very arrogant attitude and confirms that despite us ordering from here once or twice a month we will find somewhere else to order from. Please avoid!

food arrived almost 1 hour late at 8pm driver kept blaming the buzzer, when I said you should have phoned he showed me a tel number on his paperwork that didnt resemble mine in the slightest, in fact it didnt even begin with 07 for a mobile number. I wont be using JUST EAT again

The food was super hot and tasty. We rarely order takeaways and this is the first time we ordered from Good Choice but surely not the last. Super tasty and not greasy at all ! Super impressed :)

Food is always ready when it says. Warm, good quality. I found that the food was extra spicy on this occasion. Still enjoyed it. Prices are reasonable for the quality.

The food was disgusting and cold I do not recommend this at all it is normally fine but it was abysmal when we last ate we tried some but all immediately spat it out only good thing was the delivery and the driver was rude !😡

curry sauce had exess oil, rice was really dry, prawn crackers were stale, i do not recommend.

The sweet and sour chicken was lovely but we were disappointed with the chilli & garlic shredded chicken. The sauce was very watery and meant that the chicken was very soggy and not crispy at all!

Chicken a bit rubbery in cury, otherwise nice. Top star service from delivery driver, accidently put wrong address in (put road instead of street) and he drove about looking for correct address. Normally would be returned to restaurant so huge thank you to the fantastic delivery driver who spent best part of 20mins trying to find my house.

order a lot good and not good chef ? today sorry not good and again no prawn cracker over 10 pound never get them will think next time sorry guys order here for more then 10 years

Tasty Chinese food, can't fault it. Deliver quick. Food is always piping hot.

The food was excellent but the delivery was way later than advised which was not ideal because my 10 year old son does not eat that late. Also when I called the restaurant they apologised and said they would provide free chicken and mushroom parcels instead of free prawn crackers because I told them we didn't like prawn crackers but we got neither :(

Hot and sour soup on point, super flavourful ( did I detect a hint of pineapple 🤔) I'd order that again for sure. Shredded chicken in garlic chilli sauce, bang on the money, gaarrrlic. If you don't like garlic don't order this. Tasty, tender chicken instant addiction good sized portion( at a fair price point) and now I'm stuffed and need a nap. Night night 💤
