The best restaurants serving British food in Wales

Absolute treasure of a restaurant in this little village. Very thoughtfully-prepared menu, including great vegetarian options, and well-curated drink selection. The butternut soup changed my life. Can't recommend highly enough.

Massive disappointment. Booked to go here on our first night in Saundersfoot. The menu looked interesting. Decided on the lamb shank with mash. The waiter was perfunctory, no smile but not rude. The meal came and I’ve never seen so little meat on a lamb shank, I huge bone and a very small silver of meat. The mash was fine to start with but there was so much gravy that over a vert short space of time the mash and gravy became mush. The physical plates very very small so the food was piled on top of each other making it very difficult to cut the meat and my wife found it very difficult to cut her gammon. She mentioned this to the waiter and he really had no interest. I gave up on my food and when the waiter picked up the plates to take them away, he asked if everything had been ok. I said no and he plonked the plate back down in front of me, clearly annoyed at what I’d said. Once I explained to him what my issue was, he said he’d have a word with the chef. A few minutes later he arrive at the table with the bill and said nothing more. We been to Saundersfoot a few times, but this was our first time at Harbwr, it will be our last as there are much better restaurants in the village.

Mother’s Day lunch … I can honestly say that was the best roast beef dinner I’ve had …. Vegetables cooked to perfection and a Yorkie like a hotair balloon 🎈 desert was also delicious! The staff were excellent and attentive, not overpriced for our 2 course meal and will definitely be returning x Thankyou … what a lovely place, lovely food and lovely staff 😃

For starters, the chipotle chicken wings were huge and the best we had ever had. The lamb taco was full of lamb and was very tasty. For main, the lamb suet pudding and the tagine with added chicken were both immense. Couldn't manage a pudding! We highly recommend this restaurant.

Horrenda. Reservado para el Día de la Madre por correo electrónico hace mucho tiempo. Llamé hoy para reconfirmar y me dijeron que el almuerzo del Día de la Madre se canceló hace semanas. Nunca recibí un mensaje de texto o correo electrónico. Pub afirma que tienen pruebas de que se lo dijeron a todos. Me gustaría ver esa prueba ya que no recibí nada. Nunca contemplaré ir allí de nuevo. Desgraciado.

Good food with appropriate portioning worth the price

Called at the Y Wal without a booking the kind waitress found us a table for 2. Black pudding with goats cheese and chorizo starters extremely tasty best black pudding I ever tasted . Tropical pizza to share was equally as good Very professional and polite staff . In fact it was that good I went back for breakfast Sunday morning excellent. Highly recommended

Stumbled across this little gem quite by accident! How ever so glad we did ! Such a lovely pub and it seems to cater for everyone, after having a little lunch we decided to book for our evening meal as we are visiting on a fishing trip ! So tearing my husband away from his rods was a challenge but we both decided it was 100% worth it !! The food was delicious, the staff amazing and a little extra bonus they had Bingo We left here with full tummies feeling very satisfied Well done to all the team at Y Maerun !

Highly recommended spot for authentic fish and chips. We stumbled upon this place after visiting Pembroke Castle, and it turned out to be one of the best fish and chips we’ve had in Wales.

Why is this establishment still included on TripAdvisor when clearly as stated it is closed!! I waste time looking for restaurants which are not available.

Came in for lunch on a Saturday. Explained I was a coeliac and the chef came out to talk through the menu. He offered to make me anything I wanted. I opted for the fish and chips which were spectacular. The chef also brought out a gluten free flatbread and a chocolate brownie for me to try! absolutely amazing! he even gave me the flatbread dough to take home! definitely recommend

What a wonderful pub. The bar staff were welcoming and friendly, we hadn't been here before but we will definitely be back. The band is amazing just waiting for the second half.

The theme is good, also the food is pretty good as well but it’s not too accessible as the size is rather small but overall a good chip shop!

Emily was amazing. Couldn’t ask for a better waitress. She was friendly, very helpful and professional. An asset to Browns.

Town House as always has a fantastic atmosphere especially when you have the Scooter Rallys on, Karaoke on Sat & Sun. Great fun
