Going on the strength of other reviews, we booked a table in the dog friendly area of The Crown. Having had and a 2 hour walk beforehand, a well deserved refuelling stop. Quite chilly in that area of the pub. Cheap lunch menu. Specials board more expensive. We had Scampi & fries, small battered cod & chips. Both came with peas. I had much higher expectations and was disappointed in the portion size(5 scampi pieces). Would consider giving it another try sometime, go in the evening and dine in the restaurant area. Pay the more expensive dinner prices, in the hope that the food would not be cooked from frozen and the portion sizes would be satisfying.

First visit here & excellent food & friendly service. Mushroom and leek/potato soup starters were delicious. Lamb & Beef main dinners were really tasty with perfect amount of meat & veg. We just about had enough room to share the banofee pie which was equally good. We travelled from the other side of the island so an hour round trip but well worth it & will definitely return!

Unfortunately disappointing. The four of us (four adults) were shown to a tiny table, clearly suitable only for two people, hard up against the bar, when bigger tables for four were clearly available. We were told they were all booked. Over the next hour and a half we then watched as three couples (two people each) were each shown to each of the three much bigger tables for four around us. Why? There were several much bigger unused tables in other areas of the restaurant. When the food arrived, I'm afraid my pork belly was literally inedible. It was so uncooked it literally couldn't be cut at all with the (blunt) knives provided. To their credit a replacement beef dish was provided fairly quickly. But these sorts of errors are at best extremely thoughtless. It's been a while since we went to the Greyhound. It used to be very nice. Unfortunately after spending nearly £200 we came away feeling very disappointed. Uncooked food aside, being squeezed onto a tiny table for no good reason wasn't great at all. It will now be a long time before we go again.

Probably the best food I’ve had to eat in Tenby. And also the best value too. Tenby is, for me, a tourist trap packed with lots of eateries many of which are overpriced and serving poor food. See some of my other Tenby reviews. This cafe however is a welcome break from those experiences. I was dubious about visiting here given my other overpriced underwhelming eating experiences in Tenby but we decided to give this place a go. It’s cost and welcoming inside and we were greeted and seated in seconds. It’s dog friendly as most of Tenby is but that was also a positive. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the breakfasts we got was great. Very happy. This is my new go to spot in Tenby where I know I will get good food without being ripped off in a tourist heavy spot.

Shambolic experience recently when we went for lunch. They had a funeral wake going on with loads of people. Car park was full, with total chaos as cars were trying to enter/ leave and then find somewhere to park. Service inside was appallingly slow and not helped by very unpleasant lady at the counter. Apparently some people who had booked just went away due to the situation. Its was a great pity as this is usually a very good place to eat.

This pub is just fabulous and very dog friendly. The food was amazing, and I would recommend the chicken curry, it was delicious. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, as were the locals. I would suggest booking as it can get very busy. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.

Thank you Hazel and staff for a lovely evening with our friends last night. We were really welcomed and sat in the lounge which was nice and quiet for our pre-dinner drinks. The 3 course meal we all had was amazing. Our mains-lamb rump and the beef bourguignon was truly amazing(Hazel did say that no one else makes it quite like them-how true-lovely chunks of melt in the mouth beef). The seafood platter to start with was mouthwatering ,also the duck starter which our friends had. The white linen tablecloths and pipping hot plates and food also contributed to the meals being exceptional. We then returned to the lounge to enjoy some more catching up with our friends -not many eating places offer this on Anglesey as most expect you leave once you leave your table. I do not normally write reviews however I felt I had to recommend Bishopsgate. We will definitely be back very soon.Thank you again.

It is a couple of years since we have visited the Amroth Arms - we recall having good food there - we weren’t disappointed on our return! The gammon, steak and especially the lasagna were exceptional. Good portions served in a friendly manner ~ two of us had the old fashioned sherry trifle - you could actually taste the sherry! We enjoyed it so much we wanted to bring our families there (7 adults) but as they were not taking any booking - just adhoc drop ins - and we could not guarantee a table - they missed out on business and we missed out on delicious food - such a shame.
