More of a seaside bar than a pub, food all day is a big bonus. Good choice of food, including basic pub food and Thai curries, so all the family were happy. A bit noisy on the Saturday night we visited, but liked it enough that we went again midweek and was a bit more laid back, but still busy due to a quiz night (think it's bingo on Tues, quiz on Wed). Good service. Got the impression that inside was mainly locals, but as tourists we were welcomed in along with many others sitting outside enjoying the last of the sun and the view of the sea.

We were utterly shocked at the prices, they were asking £9.00 for a sandwich, £4.70 for a sausage roll, Still water 500ml £3.30 Can of Pepsi 330ml £2.20 the prices go on. Come on National Trust this is extortionate to charge these prices. Whoever is in charge of the pricing is clearly out of touch with normal folk. I dare say your staff are on minimum wages and have to bear with the raised eye brows of their shocked customers. We will bring a packed lunch next time, shocking!

Visited with family. Such sad news at the passing of a great lady. As usual however the food was great an olde worlde type, no new coffee still just the same old coffee taste great. Reading one previous review I think if you want soya and lactose free you need to visit Costa! This place caters for those who want a great meal after a walk. The scones with jam and clotted cream were nice, cheese on toast very good, coronation chicken sandwich beautiful. This is a place to visit and revisit as my family and I do yearly at least three times v

My wife & me enjoyed our lunch very much & the customer service is first class...The food is reasonably priced. We visited Newcastle Emlyn, because its where i grew up, in the 1970's & 80's..So i know the area very well. Will visit again, whenever we are in town..

If you are somewhat fed up of trying to find a table in an overcrowded Tenby pub or restaurant at this time of the year, then why not take a short drive towards Pembroke, next to Penally station, you'll find The New Overlander pub and restaurant. It will be worth the drive. Simple, yet delicious home cooked meals, well presented by accommodating and welcoming staff. If you are not the driver, try one of their many cocktails to conclude your visit.

We had Afternoon Tea booked for us as an Anniversary treat from Family members. Very Welcoming, friendly and plenty of smiles right from the start. The staff couldn't have been more obliging to us 3, and also our pooch. The Afternoon Tea was fabulous - plenty of everything and so much choice. What we couldn't manage to eat the staff boxed for us to take away. We enjoyed it so much we booked to return for Sunday lunch in 2 weeks time. Lovely to have a local cafe to have breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea - good prices, and really enjoyable food. Absolutely recommended 👍💐💖

The atmosphere is lovely, feels like a nice and comfortable place to have your coffee/snacks. There is an upstairs also, which many don’t seem aware of as it’s always empty up there. I like the feel, love the selection of snacks eg pastries/chocolate treats. So it’s worth a visit. However, the staff are not great. They are quite rude and short tempered. The person I met for coffee there came back from the counter saying he would never come back as they had experienced the rudest service. I had already had a mistake in my order happen, and when I went back up to explain this I was met with a half hearted attitude, when I seemed surprised at this there was a clear passive aggressive quick change in attitude. But I didn’t do anything further, I just accepted the mistake because i didn’t want the fuss. I must add the crockery isn’t as clean as it could be either. All this aside, if you take the staff out of the equation, it’s a great place feel, nice location, great deco, great tasting drinks and snacks

We’ve been to Whitesands Bay quite a few times and seen the cafe, but we’d never popped in - until this week. We only had a couple of cups of tea and a portion of chips, but they were lovely; so much so, that my other half said they were the nicest chips she’d ever had! The prices were also very reasonable. It’s very handy that they allow dogs in to the place as we had our 15 year old Jack Russell with us. I also have to give a mention to the staff who were extremely friendly and totally customer focussed. All in all, this was a lovely ‘find’ for us, and we will definitely go back.

Spotted this cafe on my travel back from Pembrokeshire when i passed through kidwelly. The cafe its self is a quaint place easily spotted on the main road, as i entered i was seated by friendly young staff member with menus. The prices even in this day and age seemed extreme but thought id give the benefit of the doubt that the food would be worth the cost, order a latte, a Jacket with beans and cheese then a scone, the food was mediocre and all store bought so i don’t know why the charge so high, but unfortunately i had the dishonour of meeting the owner, She has a cold demeanour about her and saw her berating a staff member quite harshly then overheard her bad mouthing that same member of staff to another while i was in the bathroom, I understand telling off a staff member but to then go to another member of staff is horrid! I payed and left in a hurry after tipping the youngster, i don't mind paying a fair amount to small businesses but do better in treating your staff, they are the only reason you are still open! with her demenour she wouldnt last without those employees who made the stop worth it! Do Better!
