Diablo's in Carmarthenshire

Had brilliant night here last night. Lovely staff, friendly crowd, great atmosphere and gig by Jake Taylor was awesome. Would definately visit here again.

Visited with some family and friends for festive drinks. Lovely setting but unfortunately my niece and I were disappointed with our Piña Colada cocktails. Priced at nearly £8 each it was a very poor effort, glass stuffed full of ice and a weak tasting cocktail. Would revisit but they need a cocktail making masterclass!

We visited as a party of four on a Saturday as we hadn't visited for several months. Food was excellent, service was friendly and attentive, portions were decent and the puddings outstanding. They offer a fairly limited lunch menu more than compensated for by excellent quality and service, certainly to be recommended.

My wife and I had an amazing experience at Diablo's. The food was exceptional as well as the service, we were served by Laura and couldn't have been happier with how we were treated. Laura served us exquisite cocktails and obviously is a very skilled individual with superior table side manner and product knowledge. Laura also went above and beyond to book us a table at the sister restaurant, Dexters at Brown's, with which we were also exceptionally impressed. Its hard to find service like this. Thank you Laura.

Had two really great evening meals at Diablo's - the small plates were lovely and the deserts brilliant but we must mention the staff too - they were really nice (especially Heledd)

Cocktails are very small quantities. The glasses are tiny for an £8 cocktail. Nice setting well decorated even the toilets. Friendly polite staff.

Its not often that me and the wife get out for food without the kids, so whe I realised we had a few evening hours alone in Town I decided to book a table here and we were so glad we did. The food waa stunning and the waitress from the grilled pear salad to the Calmari popcorn Ambience was lovely and the service was excellent

We had the tapas - it was lovely and very reasonably priced too. The cocktails are amazing - as always! The only downer for us was that we sat upstairs and they kept the door to the smocking area open (no idea why?!) so we were constantly smelling and breathing in smoke. Not nice at all, especially as we are non-smokers. Raised the issue with the waitress but they were unable to sort anything and stated it was open due to Covid guidelines, which is ridiculous! A little disappointing but we ate up and left. Would return again but will request a seat downstairs.

Recently booked at Diablos and couldn’t recommend more highly. The staff were brilliant, they changed our table even though they were fully booked and the service was great all night. The food was outstanding and will definitely be going back.

Not a bad thing to say about diablos. The food is always outstanding - definitely the best place to eat in Carmarthen hands down. I've been to diablos countless times and honestly never had a bad experience. Cocktails are great, service is great, but the food is what makes the place so incredible..

Booked for a large group of us. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had to pre order due to us being 20. Fantastic customer service from original phone booking to paying deposit to pre ordering. The ambience is brilliant and the service second to none. All meals were perfect. The manageress ( dark curly long haired lady) was amazing. Excellent in all aspects. Checked with me regularly how everything was. Food was delicious and brilliant value. Think this is probably the most friendly organised and of the best places to go to in Carmarthenshire.

We went at mid day. Menu is small but good choice. Obviously there's the tapas on the menu, 3 for £15 which is a great deal. But we went for the lasagne. Fair to say it was stunning. Not made with mince, but proper Italian way with chunks of tender beef. Not sloppy like lots of places. The sweet potato fries were amazing, beautifully seasoned. And the garlic bread ciabata perfect. We had drinks, one pint San miguel and a soda and lime, and thanks to Rushi's deal, only paid £16.50 for everything. However, it would have well been worth the full price. We will be back!!!!!!!

Lovely venue but this new menu is disappointing. Be aware that the 3 for £15 dishes are actually tapas. I couldn't see any mention of this so chose 3 between two people and, fair to say, was a waste of money. Left the place still hungry and dissatisfied. Diablos...you should have continued with the menus that were so successful in the original Nott Square venue... delicious and unique to Carmarthen. Bring back the King prawn & chorizo salad and triple cooked chips with aoli etc etc etc!

Had to have a sandwich, meal choice for lunch was not great unless you wanted chips. Used to be far greater variety , was quite disappointed

I've eaten here on numerous occasions and you can't really go wrong regardless of what you order off the menu.The tapas especially is varied, plenty of choice and good value at 3 dishes for £15.My only problem is narrowing down what to order as I could have easily ordered 90% of the menu.We had a selection of tapas, the stand out personally was the beef cheek (shredded meat, pressed then fried) - meat was succulent and the exterior coating was a nice contrast.This was closely followed by the scotch egg (with perfectly cooked runny yolk) and the calamari.The only thing out of the 6 dished we ordered that I wouldn't rush to have again was the topped patatas bravas beacuse I prefer my potatoes crispy or deep fried but then that is a personal preference. Everything else I would definitely have again.Always a nice atmosphere and special mention to the staff who are attentive without being intrusive.

Diablos is the type of place where you could make a good night out an excellent night out and we did. Great menu, wide choice of drinks, excellent service and atmosphere.

Visited here with my boyfriend for an evening meal. We both eat a plant based diet and diablos had vegan options. We tried the vegan platter and apparently we were the first customers to try this. It was gorgeous and mega tasty! Lush food, really lovely staff and a relaxed, lovely venue. Highly recommend to anyone considering having food there! I’ll defo be returning soon Zoe x

Really enjoyed having a sharing platter and a glass of wine with my lady when we were out and about doing some shopping. Lovely atmosphere, good food and great staff.

We always have lovely food here, the service is excellent and everything is fresh and arrives quickly. It would be nice if the menu changed more regularly as we would like to try something new

I've eaten here now 3 or 4 times and can say the food is great. Steak is always cooked perfectly (I order medium rare). The burgers are tasty, and portions are generous. They have a good range of beers / ciders and lagers and the best bit are the staff. Each time we've been the staff have bent over backwards to be helpful. They're kind, attentive but not over bearing. A couple of times we've booked for groups of 10+ and they have always brought food out quickly and always great quality.A great place to eat and enjoy a few beers!

Visited here prior to going to the theatre. Fortunately the four of us had booked a table as the downstairs area was crowded and very, very noisy. The menu choice is limited but in fairness the food was very good, and enjoyed by all. Service was mixed, with uncertainty whether you ordered at the bar or served at the table. One of our party was a slow eater yet the waitress took away the other three finished dishes, to our surprise, before the final person had finished, which is wrong. We would eat again here but maybe next time eat in the up stairs restaurant, a least there you may be able to hear yourself speak.

Went to watch my niece sing here and what a pleasant surprise it was lovely deco busy with nice people and the food was lush and very reasonably priced , would definitely go here again for a night out .

Really lovely decor. Lots of drinks variety which is a bonus! It does get very busy (which is a good thing) so you may need to stand as tables are limited. There isn’t much standing room and you are in the way of someone all the time so we found that annoying.

Me and my partner came here for a birthday meal. The food was amazing as usual. We often visit diablos and we are never disappointed. Cocktails were fantastic too. Very friendly and attentive staff who can’t do enough for you. We are looking forward to the new steak house opening soon as I’m sure it will be a great success

Four of us had a meal here on 22nd August and everyone in the party agreed it was fantastic. The food was superb (the best fillet steak I’ve had for a long time) and no one had a negative comment about anything. Service was excellent, the staff were friendly and all in all we were totally satisfied. Diolch Lauren.

Best place in Carmarthen for food and drinks. Gin selection is awesome. And the bar girls are great especially the tattood babe.

Visited on the 10th July for an after graduation party celebration. The staff had gone out of their way to set up a large table for our party and decorated with balloons and bubbles! We were greeted and seated straight away and the cocktails were soon flowing. Their menu offers a great variety and there was something for everyone, there was 14 of us ranging from 2-70 and all left full and Happy.

Once again had a fabulous night in Diablos cocktails were amazing food delicious and atmosphere buzzing .Good entertainment provided by a talented singer with a good variety of songs to please all customers there tonight . Staff as usual working hard providing good customer service thankyou to Ceri Hayley Morgan George and all staff there this evening . Had some lovely food so thank you to the chef . Xx

Down Carmarthan on business, looking for somewhere local to dine and stumbled across this little place. Lovely food and well looked after by Ceri our waitress. Friendly atmosphere and tasty nosh at a reasonable price. 👍🏻

By far my favourite place in Carmarthen. Arrived just before our table was booked at 7 to take advantage of the 2 for 1 cocktails (lemon fizz is my fave). An excellent deal with the 2 small plates and a side, very filling meal and a great variety to choose from. Would recommend the white bait and anything with their humous . They have an excellent selection of quality cocktails and plenty of gin choices to keep me happy!!

Diablos must be one of the best places to eat in Carmarthen. The food was so good, the decor of the place is great and the staff were nice and very attentive. Will definitely be going back

I rarely write reviews, life is too short, to be truthful this is my second. My husband and I have been living in Carmarthen for just over six years and we found Diablo’s whilst we were looking for our new home. Today we had a simple meal on the face of it, cod goujons, pea puree and tartar sauce, with skinny fries on the side. Not just any meal but a “Diablo’s meal. Pun intended! The breaded coating on the cod had hints of tarragon, pea pure nice and smooth, HOME MADE tartar source, “I just hate the stuff that comes out of those plastic packets”, and nice hot fries “Fabulous”. I highly recommend the place as I do frequent it more times than I should, consistency is their key with a very friendly and attentive staff. Great décor and ambiance, live music at weekends.

Fantastic homemade lasagne, proper meaty & tasty!! Great service and friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit and value for money!!!

We met in diablos for my friend's leaving do. We were given our table straight away. 2-4-1 cocktails were absolutely lovely from 5pm-7pm. Food was stunning and the atmosphere is nice :) will definately be going back xxx

Love the new Diablo’s, much nicer venue than the old one. Been eating here once or twice a month now and my experience has always been a good one. The last couple of visits I have been served by a charming young man called Sam he’s a great waiter and knows exactly how to treat his customers. He welcomes guests with a a smile and pleasantries and is extremely attentive without being over the top and lets you enjoy the fabulous food in peace. That’s just how most people like it. There’s nothing more annoying than a string of waiters asking you umpteen times if you’re enjoying your meal! Talking of good food, I have to say that your Caesar Salad is the best ever,even better than the excellent one served just down the road at Florentino’s. Please never take this dish off the menu it’s my favourite by far!..... see you next week.

Came here with friends, we were told which table was ours by a young man working there that looked like he had just got out of bed, we seated ourselves. No one came to give us a menu or drinks menu for over 20 minutes. Eventually a lady came and asked us what we wanted to drink, we explained that we didn’t have a drinks menu so she passed us one. The young guy we saw at the beginning brought our wine to the table after about 10 minutes and didn’t even pour our drinks. We were given the food menu and it took ages again before anyone came to take out orders to the point we were thinking of leaving. We ordered our food and must have waited well over half an hour for it, we went for the steak ciabatta but it was really just a burger in a brioche bun with a small amount of skinny fries and little but of coleslaw, we weren’t even asked if we wanted sauces or anything. We called the young guy over to ask for a jug of water and my friend asked if we could have lemon in it, he returned with lemon in his hand and put his hand in our water to put the lemon in which was very unhygienic and we did question him on why he had done this. The food was nothing to write home about, very average, nothing special and the wine was ridiculously expensive. When we asked for the bill no one came to take our payment, we sat and waited for over 20 mins and could have easily walked out as there were no staff to be seen. We ended up going to the bar and waited for someone to take out payment. The young guy took our payment and told us it was his last day. I don’t know it this is why he was so careless and not bothered about the customers and had not service skills but the whole experience was a disappointment. Diablos on the Quay still isn’t open but when it was it was much better for food choice,taste and service. We won’t be coming back here again.

Called recently for an evening meal our first time at this location although we are regular customers at Diablo's. My first choice meal had run out due to high demand and the waitress suggested the local Cardigan steak. Fantastic flavour cooked to perfection and really good value. It's many years since I tasted a steak so good and I can't remember tasting a better one! Excellent chips tomatoes and veg. Great service nice draft ales looking forward to going back. Had a lovely meal here on a Tuesday night with friends. The food was excellent and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It is also a nice bar and had a good cocktail menu.

We met some friends here recently for dinner. I think the evening menu choices were nice if a little limited. The staff were very friendly and the decor is really nice. The food was ok but not as good as Diablo's on the quay which is currently closed. Lots of carb heavy meals on the menu.

Had a fab day out in diablos queen street for the six nations rugby . Booked a table in gin lounge to watch the game and had the £10 burger and pint offer which was a bargain compliments to the chef as the burger was delicious probably the best burger I have ever tasted . Good company and a fantastic atmosphere there . As usual staff working hard throughout the day making lovely cocktails and serving delicious food . Thankyou to ceri for amazing service all bar staff and Kayleigh for managing a very popular bar . Looking forward to the next game .

Came here for lunch with family and shared some tapas dishes. The food was delicious, good value for money, and the service was excellent. Good selection on the lunch menu too. Lovely little place.

We had our wedding/blessing reception for 80 people at the new Diablos in Queen Street, it was faultless from planning to the actual party. The advice and support given in organising and planning our menus was brilliant and the venue was superb with fully trained, first class staff. The rolling banquet we had was simply amazing and totally fitting for such a special occasion. Highly recommended if you want to create special memories with first class food, venue, staff and cocktails! Outstanding!

On my way to pick up a family member I stayed at a nearby hotel and googled ‘good places in Carmarthen’ Diablos came up and so as it was just around the corner it was perfect.

We popped in for a really quick bite as we were on a timelimit and they were very helpful with us. So, we tired again when we had more time and took our time. Again, lovely staff, a great ambience and wonderful food. I had one of their burgers and can quite easily say it was one of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back. Thank you Diablo's.

Nice bar/restaurant. Caters for all tastes. Spiced cauliflower tacos really nice but limp chips. Was very busy and to be fair the manager took them off the bill. My daughter had the same meal the week before and said it was much better. Small plates, burgers and fish & chips also on menu. Booking recommended. Tables upstairs too.

The staff were very friendly and helpful with quick service when my girlfriend and I visited today for Sunday Lunch.

We originally booked into Diablos on the Quay for a 40th birthday / family celebration, however following the storms last month we were moved to Diablos on Queen Street. We were a large party but every meal was delicious & all as the pre-order. The staff were efficient, helpful & made it a really enjoyable afternoon. We will definitely be back for a Sunday roast x

Really wanted to go here for my boyfriends birthday with the whole family as the menu looks really nice and lots of vegetarian options, however couldn’t as they are not accessible to wheelchair users. Super disappointed.

Another lovely evening at the new diablos queen street . Tried the tacos which were absolutely delicious , a good choice on the menu and some good offers on a Tuesday . Freshly made cocktails always a hit especially at 2 for £7 . Always good service with all the staff especially manageress Kayleigh .

My wife and I were treated as though we were regular customers despite this being our first visit. Ceri our waitress was exceptionally friendly and we went back for a second visit despite the very noisy atmosphere which added to the attraction of this restaurant. The food and drink was excellent and could not recommend this place more highly.

We visited the new venue tonight for a meal. The burger I ordered was still pink in the middle. I rejected it, only to be told "It had been cooked to the chefs specification" I was further told that there were no more burgers to replace my meal and I would need to order something else from the menu. The rest of our party had finished their meals by the time mine arrived. I then saw another diner being served with a burger!!

Diablo's has now moved to the old premises of Hamiltons in Queen Street. Great place, lively, friendly, outside area is really nice. Very enjoyable entertainment, lovely owners and staff Definitely worth a visit.

We tried to have lunch at the Diablo's on the Quay but it was full and we were directed to Diablo's Nott Square which was less than 10 minutes walk away.

Just had one of the tastiest lunches in Carmarthen. Staff pleasant and friendly. Food fab. They have just moved to a new location. Miss this delight at your peril

Lovely lunch today -well presented -friendly helpful staff (Matt and Kayleigh). Had booked a table upstairs but it was really busy and a bit noisy so Matt arrange a quieter spot downstairs. Will be back soon.

Visited for lunch. We were greeted by friendly cheerful waitress and given option of tables downstairs or upstairs. Decided to go upstairs. Lovely light room with table by window overlooking street. Had small bottle of Prosecco which was wonderfully chilled. Went for small plates option to share and on advice of waitress ordered battered goujons, chorizo scotch egg, Moroccan veg tagine, quinoa salad, chunky chips. All were absolutely delicious and so tasty. Had wonderful lunch with great ambience and very friendly staff. Don’t be put off by appearance of building from the outside - very deceiving. Apparently they are moving premises soon. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

Friendly open welcome from bar staff. Small plates good value for a lunchtime, interesting choice and wonderfully presented and cooked, tasted great too. Liked the decor and ambience, received great service from staff. Would ask that a coat hanger be fitted to bathroom as hate to put my handbag on floor.....

It was our Ruby Anniversary party at Diablos in Nott Square Carmarthen last Saturday and we couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate.

For a low key birthday celebrating in style with comfort, and to make sure that you can drink enough to be as merry as you need to be before you head home. this place has it all when you dine with them, their new beetroot and cauliflower dish is strange but a savoury delight that has me itching to go back. and the team they employ are all cheerful and never stop helping during the experience.

For parties of more than 10 I would go for the 3 course Taster Plate Menu for £17.50 per person that included Lamb Koftas, Panko breaded chicken and BBQ chicken wings. Very nice.

This was a spontaneous visit as the blurb said "Spanish" and we are off to Seville in a month's time. Can't say the food was particularly Spanish (tagine and falafel and similar) but the style of smaller, sharing portions called tapas is. We thought the food was amazing. The flavours were wonderful and I was very sad to be full and not go through the menu again. Will go back next time I'm in Carmarthen. Friendly, helpful staff providing jolly good service.

This was a hefty price considering: when we arrived we had to wait in a rather busy bar until the room was ready. We were eventually told that we could go upstairs and to help ourselves to the complementary glass of fizz that had been poured ready for us - unfortunately the fizz was missing! Somehow the starter was missing too! The main part of the menu was lacking the Glamorgan sausages, tomato chutney and the turkey meatballs in a rich gravy. Then - it took over an hour for the tables to be cleared ready for the pudding. When the three choices of miniature puddings were eventually brought out for us to help ourselves there were no plates. Considering how sticky the chocolate/fudge cake was we could have done with more than just a serviette.

Called in for lunch with my mum while Christmas shopping. Beautiful atmosphere and so cosy. The chef made me a wonderful vegan meal off menu that was beautiful, all staff were so accommodating. The staff encouraged any vegans to call ahead as they can prepare more options. My mum loved her meal too (non-vegan) and the cocktails were delicious Will be going again ❤

Lovely friendly atmosphere. Food was more than expected. Staff were very friendly and polite. Big kudos to our waitress Charlotte who was excellent.

We visited with friends on Saturday and had a 5 star service including very good food. The blonde waitress was very attentive and really friendly and approachable. She saw us speaking welsh and engaged with us in conversation in welsh (which was lovely) , and was really polite . For this reason we would definitely be returning and have already recommended to friends. The food was very nice and reasonably priced. They have changed the menu from the last time we visited but was still nice. Thanks team diablos.

Called with family for a drink and a snack. Excellent value cocktails during happy hour and great to have an interesting selection of snack dishes to nibble at with them. And some super chips!!

3 of us booked a table this week for dinner. Although the ‘larger meals’ selection is limited, we were pleasantly surprised how good the food was. All starters of chicken wings, Arab bread and humous were tasty. Main course of fish and chips and lamb burger was again very tasty.

We were tired and hungry after a day out sightseeing and just needed fish and chips. We stopped by on a busy Saturday night and asked for a table for 2 without a booking. We were told they were full and we must have looked crestfallen as they took pity on us, asked us to look at the menu whilst they had a look at their bookings. We ordered a drink and in no time at all were shown to a table. We did them the courtesy of ordering quickly and not staying sat at the table too long.Boy was the fish and chips good!!! Great staff, very well presented and delicious.Thanks to all.

Always consistent just love going for lunch after shopping in Carmarthen food always so good thanks as always to lovely James and other young gentle man (don't know you're name!) Looking forward to next week

Went for lunch in the week at DIablos. I was really impressed from the outset. The atmosphere was relaxed but attentive and the menu offered a lot for vegetarians which was good for myself. I ordered the 2 plates 1 side for £10 deal. A great deal, and very generous tapas portions. I ordered the garlic mushrooms which came with some lovely bread and the chickpea fritters with lovely yogurt raita. I especially liked the fritters which had a lovely flavour without being too spicy. The wait staff were friendly and the orders came quickly. All you could want for a lunch out.

Was visiting a friend in a local hospital and stayed overnight in camarthan with my seven year old after a long drive. We were starving and couldn't get into the place the hotel recommended so walked into Diablos around 7pm. We had four plates from their tapas menu and my daughter who was protesting because I wouldn't take her to Pizza Express, especially enjoyed the hummus and the lamb Kofka

Wow, this place is certainly popular on a Friday night. Downstairs was rammed with ladies drinking cocktails and really getting into the sing of things. If you want to eat, book. Upstairs was a bit more decorous. The menu is limited, but what they offer is well done. The lamb koftas are excellent,as are the salads. The wine list is limited and not great, but the cocktails looked excellent.

Just love diablos the food is Fantastic and made professionally and their thrice cooked chip's mmmmmm!! Keep booking our table!!!

Delicious cocktails and food at reasonable prices; with a warm welcoming interior to match. Would recommend to anyone who is in Carmarthen looking for a tasty nibble and delicious cocktail.

Visited on the first Steak Night held here in June. The quality of the produce was excellent and the overall combination of starter, steak main and pudding was really impressive. Steak was cooked to absolute perfection. Would definitely recommend!!

It describes itself as a Tapas Bar but I did not see any Tapas. Having said that there was an interesting selection of dishes on the menu and the quality was good. I enjoyed my pan fried prawns on a Vietnamese salad (This is a Tapas???). I would eat there again

I recently visited Diablo's with a group of friends. A lovely atmosphere, the staff were friendly and really helpful and the food was amazing! Highly recommended, keep up the great work Diablo's. Myself and my party will definitely be back again soon!

If you are in the area you must eat here. The outside terrace has views of the river and hills, as well as grazing sheep which is apt as the Lamb is wonderful as was the prawn cocktail,and in particular the beetroot salad and goats cheese. Credit must also be given to the friendly efficient service, the place is faultless.

Fabulous evening celebrating my daughter's 18th birthday party Diablo's staff went out of there way to make the evening special and gave excellent service. Lovely food drink and atmosphere. Will be back very soon.

Spotted the "cocktails" sign out of the corner of my eye.So glad I came in. Had a cheeky glass of Shiraz, there are some very interesting wines on the menu.Come 5pm and cocktails are £3.75 to two for £6.50. Well line them up!!!Friendly staff, good music, well laid out.Friday afternoon, local end of work people letting their hair down :)

Nice bar, nice food, good staff and Atmosphere friendly - drop in for a glass of wine cocktails or bottled beers. Not cheap.
