Friendly local pub, but need to spray tables to stop them being sticky 😂. I always thought it looked like a OAP cafe/Restaurant until someone told me it was a pub. I think the outside show make it clearer lol

Strangely, having booked a table, when we arrived the waitress proceeded to ask people sat at a table to move so that we could sit there. We sat down at the newly vacated sticky table. We felt a bit awkward, feeling them watching us after that. Generally, the meal was ok apart from my pie being ice cold in the middle. I sent it back and received a fresh hot meal, however, by the time it arrived the rest of my family had finished theirs. It is a town centre pub and we should have expected a degree of noise but this was something else. Everyone shouting to be heard over the people next to them who were in turn shouting. I don’t think we will be going again.

When drink is bellow 20% volume should be 50ml as single not 25ml. Over charged.... not good bar work

Brilliant service from Bella. Unfortunately that’s the only light in a rather drab offering of very average food - the age old problem of the discrepancy between the delights offered on the menu and the crushing reality that the Chef can’t cook a decent steak. Not a meal I will care to remember.

The person who served us for the first two courses was excellent. Was very professional and caring. We ordered four starters consisting of three dishes, two of which were prawn cocktail, the prawns were chewy not soft and tender. I assume they were overcooked. I ordered medium to well steak for my main course, you could have soled a shoes with it. Our earlier course server came over and apologised but was finishing for the evening but another server would be taking over. OK, we ordered or desserts which included Belgium waffles. When they arrived they were so hard to be almost inedible. And finally, the Facebook infamous toilets didn’t fail to disappoint. Only one cubicle in the Ladies had a lock, the one with the lock, inevitably, was not very clean. In the gents, the single cubicle a) didn’t have a lock and b) had no toilet paper. Other than we had a good night, until the children arrived around 8..30pm then the noise was such that we couldn’t hold a conversation.

Visited here this evening for a meal with friends. Was greeted by male with long hair who’s customer service was unprofessional to say the least. No please, thank you or a smile! No locks on the doors in the dirty toilets. Will not call here again. Disgraceful service!

Eaten here a few times, never had a bad meal. Service always good, and food very reasonably priced..

The food in the cottage is decent and also very decently priced. It looks and feels like an average pub because with due respect that isn't anything particually remarkable about it appart from its bar. The best thing about the cottage is its night life. Since it is a restuarant by day the cottage would make for a good place to have sit down and have a few pints with your mate on a Saturday night right? Unfortunately no because the night in the cottage is plagued by music which is simply too loud resulting in everyone trying to talk over the music and by extension themselves. The venue you becomes pretty depressing pretty quickly if you don't already come there drunk. There is no real reason for the high volume either as the cottage does not have a dance floor of any kind. You are often bumping elbows with everyone so there is no room to dance even in the spaces between the tables.

The cottage is our go to family place to celebrate any occasion we love the place . Service and food is always fantastic and we have never ever had a bad meal or service from staff,waiter/ waitresses to Helen the owner . They can never do enough for us .we vary my mum to my babygrandaughter aged 17months . The cottage is very resonable priced and all meals no matter how big the group are always brought out together the chips are freshly made and not frozen as is in lots of places . They also do carverys on Sundays and we always have a table booked tat celebrate as a family Xmas dinner on Xmas Eve every year for the last 6 years .

It’s been several years since we’ve been to this little business. There’s still plenty of car parks in town one directly behind the premises but a public car park with disabled bays. The place does still have lightning issues in doorways and slops. Which is unfortunate because the professional well trained staff were outstanding and very accommodating. I have sight and mobility issues. The all day breakfast and proper home made lasagne was outstanding and service was super fast which is just what we needed but all fresh. Will not hesitate to go again . Good value for money ideal for ladies who lunch. Loads of easy chairs chatting areas for coffee chats. No rush to get you from the table. Maybe not ideal for small children due to lighting could have crash with waitsers. Still excellent to how it once was. New staff have made a big difference. Enjoy

Ate here a few weeks ago, always had a pleasant experience from other visits but this time round it was awful the food was cold we waited for 55 minutes for a bacon and Brie sandwich and a chicken club sandwich, must be just on a year since I last visited, looks like it could be under new ownership as before the place always looked well kept. Not now. Worn and tatty, the male toilets were horrendous. Although the staff were nice.

Called in when passing. Had read the reviews on Trip Advisor first. They are doing Christmas carvery . Excellent value . Tasty hot food, lovely choice. Good price and despite being a rainy midweek evening, the place was quite busy. Dessert menu looked lovely, unfortunatly we had no capacity left to try any. Staff were great too. Worth a visit.

We stumbled accross this place today and we were so glad we did. Me and my friend and her 2 little ones were heading to a particular restaurant for a Sunday lunch only to find it was shut. As we were a fair distance from our home village we decided we would search down the Ammanford way... So I found the nearest restaurant serving a roast and the cottage was our closest option. We called and booked and headed straight there. We were seated straight away by the most friendliest staff who couldn't do enough... The place was so busy as well. The food was beautiful... Meat was outstanding, the gravy was so tasty and the cauliflower cheese was cooked perfect (not to soft). We will be going back

Really enjoyed our meal here was a bit of a wait but food was freshly cooked and tasted good. Staff were welcoming and polite :)

The Cottage was recommended but was only okay. The restaurant is a bit dark on the inside. Sunday carvery is a decent quality although there seems to be a portion control on the roast potatoes and stuffing, which strangely is cut into small squares. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t rush back as there is so much choice with better quality available locally.

Had food there today, my gammon was lovely, my husband ordered the mixed grill unfortunately his steak was no larger than a chip !!!!

I visited the establishment with my partner for some lunch. The first thing I noticed was was how dark and dated the place was. The smell of food is always nice it a pub but it’s not nice to be breathing in the smoke from the kitchen that actually filled the entire pub. Every window on the place was heavily condensated, which reduced the lighting even more and you were unable to see outside which made the pub feel very dark and enclosed.

Building, especially toilets are cold - no hot water. Waited 35 minutes for a burger which was odd as there were not many customers when we got there. Nice staff though, but probably won't go back.

visited here for the first time.its a lovely place If you want a nice quite meal. I had the mussels they were the best I've tasted.main was well presented. the sauce on the main was to rich for us but apart from that excellent food

Third time here for food, the last time was little disappointed so thought give it a chance and still no better, u can forgive anything (decor wise) if the food is good and the service, the value is good and the place is clean. The service was good but the chips were hard not very fresh and a few other minor issues, also didn’t have some of the main items on the menu available. wish they would keep up the standards from our first visit & it would be somewhere we would use often.

Previously wrote a review based on a disappointing experience but this has turned out to be more of an isolated experience and wanted to write a more complimentary review.

Loved this restaurant the first time, was disappointed the second, will not be going for a third. Ordered the Pie meal and was offered chips or mash. Selected mash and was then charged 50p for it, plus an additional 1.95 for a small pot of gravy. When we complained nothing was done, so on principle will not be going back.

We have been here a few times now and they have never disappointed us. The food is always beautiful and it has a varied menu. Great place for lunches or evening meals and brilliant value for money.

Went to watch a soccer match. They were very accommodating, but the food was decidedly average. Good atmosphere and would certainly go again

After an appointment in Town, we decided to have lunch before going home. The cottage seemed the only viable option at approximately 3.15 in the afternoon. All the of us opted for the Streak baguette and we were all pleasantly surprised. The course was served with chips and a small side salad and was most enjoyable. The staff were happy to oblige and the cost didn't break the bank, will see me again!!

Food is lovely, portions are good. Price is great. Only issue, takes a while to have food delivered, even if order somethin simple. Took 45mins to have food & had to remind staff was stil waiting for a coffee to start. Place was quiet & only 2 other tables full at the time so didnt know why.

Fui a este restaurante esperaba un Run of the Mill, inexpresivo comida. Me alegra decir que estaba equivocado. La comida está bastante bien de precio, a mi las patatas fritas eran adorables y mi hamburguesa era de gran tamaño, aunque era el más pequeño en el menú. Mi pareja, que está en una dieta estricta, fuimos para el pollo sencillas y patatas al horno, que suena aburrido y soso, pero en realidad, él también estaba encantado con su comida. El personal era educado y el juego tenía un encanto especial. Sé que debería estar en la vecindad de nuevo, volveré.

Had a really nice lunch with a mate here. Great place for a catch up. Menu is reasonable. Opens at 12.

Visit here regularly for food and drinks, outstanding service every time! Staff are extremely friendly and the food is always delicious. Atmosphere is always welcoming!

8 of us went to The Cottage and we had the Sunday Carvery and the beef was really chewy and the yorkshire puddings were burnt and most of the food was freezing then we got told we would have to wait 4 mins for peas and sweed and they got to the table and they were cold 3 of us left our food and thats all they done was take £15 off our food when it cost £7/£8 for food that we did not even eat. Never going there again and staff did not seem bothered.

8 of us family and friends went here for a Sunday carvery. We were very dissapointed..the meat was so tough we could not chew it. The Yorkshire pudding was burnt... The boiled and roast potatoes taster like horrible tinned potatoes.. And the gravy was like water..6 of us could not eat our food as was terrible so I complained..the staff only took a little bit if money off.. We didn't not eat our food. Could clearly see that but we still had to pay nearly £45...disgrasful.. Will never go there again

Two of us visited here today for a meal and all I can say was it was superb. I had the surf and turf, and my companion had the mini mixed grill, which was quite a size in itself. The place was nice and busy and had a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food did take a while to arrive but was absolutely superb, and very large. We then had two of the homemade raspberry cheesecakes, and they were the best cheesecakes I've ever tasted. Well worth a visit and prices were very reasonable as well. Nice to have such a quality place to eat in Ammanford.

I visited for a works meal. I have to say the food was great, we all had a starter ranging from garlic mushrooms to homemade pate. No complaints at all the portion size were every large. For mains, we had a mixture of dishes and again the portion sizes were very large and very filling. Can't comment on desserts because we were so full from our mains. 5/5 for the food.

Went to the cottage after work for a few drinks, the beer garden is overgrown, most of the outside furniture is broken, the interior decor is dated, and the bar staff are rude and sullen.

Another excellent visit today , 7 friends , different meals, fish chips, steak chips ,ham eggs chips, and build a burger for Bill , beefburger cheese chips and salad, everyone enjoyed , as a group from a sheltered housing we have a meal out once a month, this is our second happy visit, I asked if I could have a menu to take away to put in our community lounge, there wasn't one available but was told they would e.mail me one, well they went one better and printed one out and even delivered it and put it through my door as I was in the garden and didn't hear the door , that is what you call customer service, well done to all the staff who work here thank you from 7 oldies lol

great place for a business meeting, we had a long lunch. the service was 5 star and so was the food great place to stop for a great business meeting

Popped in on the off chance looking for something to eat. Pleasantly surprised the place was very busy but managed to get a table for two. We had a lovely meal, my husband and I both had steaks that were perfectly cooked, with the best homemade chips and all the trimmings. We had a bottle of wine which was delicious and superb service. Can't fault the place other than it can be a little bit on the noisy side but it hasn't stopped us returning as we have been back 3 times since.

Located in the centre of Ammanford on Wind Street, this is a homely pub. A very nice place for a drink, with outside seating area as well. Friendly and Welsh speaking staff. Diolch.

Stopped here for food after visiting relatives in llandeilo. Food was excellent as was the service and the prices. The waitress was truly lovely. Would definitely go back.

I have been to this restaurant many of times now and I'm never disappointed. I have tried dishes from both the daily menu and also the Sunday roast. It has always been served hot, fresh and the presentation is always outstanding. The prices of the food are affordable and the staff are extremely friendly and are always happy to help. The atmosphere of this bar/restaurant is suited for all types of people and occasions. It always impresses me.

I called in to have food with friends. We were all really happy with the quality of the food, the price and the service!!! The surroundings were very nice, and clean. There was great music on in the background which added to the great atmosphere. It was very busy and the service was very quick. Would recommend anyone to go there for food!! As a group, we stayed all evening which was great, the atmosphere was great, got very busy, and STILL, the service at the bar was very quick and friendly! We felt safe as the venue employed very professional door staff who were always walking around ensuring everyone was having a good night.

I will certainly go back to this lovely pub, what can I say the service and staff were fantastic, as for the food it was the best steak that I've had in a long time. If anyone is in the town I would recommend that they give this place a go I know that they wouldn't be disappointed at all. A true credit to the management and staff for such a wonderful and relaxed time.

Beautiful food served here. Ive been on a number of occasions and never had an issue with anything I've ordered. Always hot and fresh. The only thing I would say is I think the children portions could be bigger they are more toddler sized portions but other than that fantastic!

Not Only Does The Cottage Have Affordable Rooms For Overnight Guests But It Is The ONLY Hotel In Ammanford. Beautiful Food, Amazing Staff And A Family Atmosphere. It Is Also Brilliant For Cocktails And Music On A Friday And Saturday Night. It Is Our Usual Sunday Carvery Venue And The Food Is Always Of The Highest Standard. If You Are Not Feeling Up To Sitting Inside You Can Take A Plate And Get A Carvery Sunday Dinner To Take Home! Would Highly Recommend Visiting The Cottage.

Ive eaten many times at The Cottage, both pub menu and Sunday Carvery and all food here is great value for money, home cooked lovely meal choices. The staff are very friendly, and its great venue for meals, drinks and watching sport. An all round traditional pub & restaurant in a good central location. Recommended.

I've been here numerous times, and each time the food gets nicer!! Everything is has so much taste and is so delicious!! The staff can't do enough! So friendly and happy. The Sunday carvery is mouth watering!! Never tasted beef as good as this!! Certainly be visiting the cottage again soon.

Most welcoming atmosphere, good pub food we were there from 4pm having lots of laughs along with the people dressed up for Halloween, enjoyed so much we are going back for a birthday celebration.

had an excellent carvery lunch ,choice of beef, and pork, (or both), yorkshire pud, stuffing, roast potatoes, boiled potatoes, cabbage,carrots, swede,peas, and lovely gravy, there were 7 of us, and we all really enjoyed, we had fruit crumble and custard for desert and was lovely, would highly recommend this restaurant, excellent staff and brilliant service ,when I booked I explained we had a friend who was ill and unable to come with us "no problem he said bring a plate and you can have a take away" our friend who is housebound was over the moon, thank you so much for your kind and helpful staff , maggs and friends xx

Exactly what it says on the tin, good British pub.Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The good you expect and love from a pub like sausage and mash, pie and mash etc.. Had the burger which was really good.

Had a pretty decent meal in here. Portions were large and home cooked. Good friendly atmosphere, but was let down by lack of care and attention to detail.

We ate at The Cottage a year ago and returned last week taking my elderly in laws with us, who are very picky ! 10 days ago. It was wet windy and quite cold outside but nicely heated inside which I always feel that is much more welcoming. We were served by a gentleman, perhaps in his 30's, who was very helpful and friendly. There is so much to chose from, we all had something different and all very pleased with our choice. Reasonable price too.

Great meal straight after work as a Friday night treat, great value, quick service & tasty meal, served with 'real freshly made chips'! The standout at the cottage are the bar staff, especially the young gentleman, they go the extra mile which you very rarely see. On 2 occasions I saw him taking drinks to the table for the older folk so they didn't have to go back to the bar ....Well Done ....Will certainly be returning, very soon!

We popped in as this place is local and we have not tried it yet, Pleasantly surprised Lots of veggie options, Lots of options full stop, Food was delicious, staff were so nice and welcoming, It was great value for money. We will be frequent future visitors.

A group of us from work went to the cottage for a leaving party, I have had food at the cottage previously, but only as a group of four, there were 16 of us this time and I have to say we all had a fab time, our food was gorgeous with no complaints of anyone, the staff were fab and made us feel totally relaxed and the price for the quality of the food is excellent, I will definitely be calling again

Visited with a group of work colleague's. Couldn't fault a single thing, the service was good and so was the food. The best sirloin steak I've had in ages and the price was really reasonable !

We dined here mid week with family (large party), everyone enjoyed their meal and the food was reasonably priced.

Busy afternoon there & was full, Childs meal of sausage & mash came but wasn't very nice according to my daughter as sausages were too spicy but she ate most of the mash before the gravy arrived , then she went to the toilet with her friend & came back to no food ....it was cleared before she finished it ! Garlic chicken was tasty & would try there again on a not so busy day.

Can never fault the food at the Cottage. Visited with my mum and aunt and all our meals were delish. Very generous portions with lovely fresh food. Battered cod cooked to perfection, best chips ever and yummy garlic bread. Staff attentive and friendly.

Great steaks for lunch, cooked perfectly to everyone's taste, cheesy garlic breads were to die for and lovely desserts!! will return!

two of my friends were really ill after eating the pasta carbonara and also i was sick and ill after eating it too.... We did try explain to the staff there that it was too filling and also there was too much cheese in there and all we had in response was customers have been saying there isnt enough cheese sauce and i dont know how many other people have been ill from it

Had a brilliant time there, the staff were really friendly and the food was brilliant in both quality and quantity. Definitely one to revisit,PS the weekly special was gorgeous and creative.

Local pub for a good meal or just to go for a few pints, great for sports.It's THE only decent place to drink in Ammanford, sport coverage is tops.

I attended a family wake at this Inn/pub and not being from the area, I currently work in the Bar trade myself, i can not speak highly enough about the excellent customer care myself and my mother ( who is wheelchair bound), were given during our visit. The staff and management were very tentative to our requirements, and nothing was too much trouble, from requesting extra hot water for tea to the ramp for my mother to vacate the premises. Keep up your excellent customer care. And the food from the buffet for the wake was exceptional, with good bar prices in comparison to my local bars.

Always receive great service at The Cottage since it re-opened with new owners, its the nicest public house in ammanford.

We turned up on a Saturday and asked for a table for 14 people. The staff were very accommodating and put together some tables with a minimum of fuss. The food orders were taken efficiently and the food did not take too long to arrive. The meals were excellent and of a good size and quality. The cost of the meals were also very well priced The inn is also a pub but this should not put off the diner as the areas are separate so as not to worry each other. We actually stayed overnight on the Friday and the rooms were clean and functional. The landlady did warn us that there be some noise from the bar downstairs especially the music but this was not a problem and was quieter than I thought it would be. There was no rush to vacate the room in the morning unlike other establishments I have stayed in. Overall this was a pleasant visit and I would recommend it to anyone staying in Ammanford. We have already booked here for our next visit to the town.

I've visited here many times and you can't go wrong!!! Delicious pub grub at low prices, what more do you need?!

Firstly, very rude staff. My mother complained about her steak for being overcooked when when she asked for rare. The bar manager argued with my mother and then the chef no matter how he describes it came out and said it was a rare steak calling her a liar. They cooked her another which was not much better. The staff then Could be heard in the kitchen laughing about us and then when we commented that we could hear the bar manager stated "they were discussing it." And now I am not the first comment to be deleted. They delete every comment that is negative. Disgusting, misleading behaviour. The steak was not a rare steak, the staff are rude and disrespectful and they delete negative comments soMisleading.

Had lunch here yesterday and every table in the dining room was full! Despite this our food arrived quickly after we ordered and it was delicious. The wait staff were polite & helpful and we really enjoyed our visit.

This is my second review of this establishment as my previous review has surprisingly disappeared (deleted).To cut the story short apart from the must chewy, undrinkable pints of larger to the dismissal lighting most likely to hide the lack of quality of the pigs swill of what they called food, green gammon might be fine for the four legged waste disposals! But not for human consumption and just as worrying when the staff just shrugged it off saying that it's fine, if it was not for the light from my mobile phone lighting up my plate I would have almost eaten it!A few years ago this was a fantastic restaurant and used to enjoy visiting but after my last experience I very much doubt I shall return.

Called in here as the 1st pub we called into wasnt serving foodWe were asked as soon as we found a table what we would like to drink which is suprising in a pub these days The Strongbow quickly arrived and was up to a good standard and reasonably pricedI ordered a Hunters chicken which was cooked and served to a very good standardThe bar staff and i believe the landlady were very hospitableOnly wish we could have spent more time thereShall be calling back asapThank you

Food was amazing, customer service was ok. The music (for the middle of the day) was horrendous! Felt like we were in Ibiza! Would only go back because the food is very nice and was hot and fresh! Although better vegetarian options would be nice! Mushroom curry AND mushroom stroganoff- somebody pass me the bucket

The photo below is of a piece of steak from the cottage. This is the second steak once my mother who is a chef sent the first one back for being over cooked. Once this was sent back and a new asked for we could hear the staff complaining and saying things like "oh for goodness sake" and "there's nothing wrong with the steak." The chef then came out and argued with my mother about the steak. The second one which is pictured was brought out and it still wasn't right. However, as I had a meeting she had to accept it. The chef and bar managers attitude ruined the experience and the steak was still too cooked too much. ForFuture reference if you want a rare steak go elsewhere and if you have a complaint don't bother. The staff will be rude and argue with you.

Ordered one of the burgers for my partner and the Huntsman Chicken for myself. Absolutely gorgeous! Homemade chips cooked to perfection and portion sizes are very good. Would recommend this to others and will definitely come here again

Firstly I think, Friday and Saturday night are probably not the right nights to visit for a meal & drinks with friends. The music was just a tad to loud, and the big laddish group just a little to noisy. However, that didn't stop is staying and having a great night out. The menu is really extensive, one may even say too much choice. My food was piping hot, and delicious. This is pub grub, done well and I'd definitely go back for more.

Went for Sunday lunch with some mates ahead of a football game. Carvery was excellent, reasonably priced. Staff very friendly, good atmosphere for the sport. Very enjoyable afternoon

I have visited The Cottage quite a few times, the food and drink ok but not much of an atmosphere. The staff are quite friendly but the music is always much too loud

I used to frequent this restaurant often a few years ago And did not think much about returning here for a meal I was very surprised how the standards have fallen it is dark and dingy not sure if it is done for a reason to hide the quality of the food as it has fallen over the years. as for the drinks they were almost undrinkable

Great Family Sunday Lunch, good food and plenty of it at the buffet. Service was quick and staff are very friendly. This establishment has a great "old" pub atmosphere whether you are at the bar or having a sit down meal.The only negative was the way the wine was served, the wine was just poured into the glass without the opportunity to taste, or maybe that we have been away for so many years and travelled that we have become accustom to tasting wine before drinking it. Having said that it was a good red wine. so no worries.Would recommend this establishment to anyone passing through Ammanford. It is a favorite with many of the locals and that is a recommendation on its own.

We have been before but not to eat, we got our drinks and stayed at the bar and asked for a menu I was given the Carvery menu and another staff member gave us the weekday menu. My boyfriend only wanted some light but we stayed at the bar. He picked a toasted sandwich and I waited still at the bar with my purse in hard. And waited, and I waited after 10 minutes and 4 staff came pored drinks and left. 1 did see we where waiting and made a comment to another staff member but nothing no one came to take my order. So having never had food there before and being ignored I WILL NEVER GO THERE FOR FOOD AGAIN! rude that's all I say

Myself and a friend ate here and we're very pleasantly surprised by the food. I had surf and turf and it was excellent. We enjoyed a bottle of red wine and my friend enjoyed his chicken dish. Services Ws a little slow but we didn't mind as we're were meeting to cat h up. Generally quite a nice little pub.

A lovely thriving microuniverse within a small bustling Welsh town, great food, great prices, great service. Top stuff.

Visited for lunch with my mum yesterday, drinks order was taken very quickly. Very varied menu with great vegetarian choices. Mum had mushroom curry which was very tasty (could have done with a few other veggies in it but thats down to personal taste). I had battered cod and it was delish. Very fresh with perfect batter. Lovely fresh chips and the portions were most generous. Garlic baguette was the best ive ever had! The only small niggle was a few foul mouthed drinkers at the bar (its a family restaurant) but still worth 5 stars. Will definately be returning!

I needed to find a good restaurant to have a good meal with four very special Professional International friends and for my wife and I, but one that would also cater for my needs as a disabled wheelchair user and my dietary of wheat, gluten and diary free meals.I am please to say Daniel the manager, Claire and all the staff at The Cottage Inn was fantastic and on the day even the local customers gave up a low level access table so we could all seat together as a six adults to enjoy our meal and company. The food was outstanding and every bite was perfectly cooked. Daniel went out of his way to help even communicating personally over the Social Networking site Facebook and Claire and other members of staff went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our time with them.It was fantastic service and at a price my four professional American guests have never seen done at so reasonable costs for their excellent meals. Everyone was over the moon with their meals and the fantastic service, we could not fault anything even the entertainment outside in the main road and with lovely weather to enjoy too. Now my wife and I know I can get into this restaurant with my wheelchair my wife and I will try and use it more often to bring our national and international guests too.Our sincere thanks to Daniel, Claire and all the staff at The Cottage Inn for making us all so welcome and for providing us such an excellent service and meals.

Called in for lunch on Saturday. The service was quick and friendly and the food was good. 3 of us had a toasted sandwich which was served with chips and a small salad, and the 4th had the pate. All were very good.

A nice welcoming pub right in the heart of a nice shopping area. Extensive menu, not cheap especially the steaks, but nicely cooked. will definitely return.

not that busy but short staffed and food arrived very late and no taste, very tired food, Typical bangladesh menu, but flavour was insipid at best

Dark and rainy though the weather was, fattish rain blobs splatted against cozy windows. The pub was welcoming though the bar was full my bola aur was growling like a Norton Motorbike....I ordered ham hock and dark fruit and left like the Vince of Darkness. Happy the pig had aroasted and feed this foul and dreich man bride.

Wen for an evening meal in the Cottage on Tuesday 16th June. It was quite quiet, but it still had a lovely atmosphere, due to its cosy furnishings and the friendliness of its staff. We felt at home immediately, as the waiter/barman greeted us as we walked in the door. We took a seat and he approached us instantly with menus and enquired if we wanted drinks. Good customer service goes a long way with us, and we appreciate it. There was a fair selection on the menu, and I chose the beef stroganoff with rice and chips, this was delicious. My partner had the scampi and chips and was really impressed with the quality of the wholetail scampi. The portions were really generous, and both were served with a salad. We intended to have a pudding, but we had no room left, neither of us could not possibly leave the main course as it was so good. We had a nice bottle of wine that was reasonably priced, so we would not hesitate to return in the very near future. Its nice to have this kind of eatery in Ammanford Town Centre. So its a 10 from us.

Have been for the Sunday carvery and for evening meals. Food is very good and plentiful but can be a bit slow in arriving. Excellent value for money for both food and wine. Will be going again.

Hi, my children wanted to take me here for my Birthday, as we hadn't been for a while, and lots of their friend's families go here. A little dark and dated inside, but clean.Was quite busy, and a table of 10 had just arrived before our party of 5. This set the tone for the evening, all of the staff were a little flustered and 'under pressure'. They were still very friendly, but you were constantly under the impression that they were just pushed a little too far by the amount of guests they had eating at that particular time. They did advise us that there would be a delay. Menu's took a while to arrive, and we had to ask two different staff. It seemed that they didn't have enough menu's for a full restaurant.Lots of choice. My 9 year old Daughter was very hungry (and therefore grumpy) and we had to buy her a packet of crisps to keep her going whilst we waited for our food. We had ordered garlic bread, which we assumed would come as a starter, but came with the main meal when it eventually arrived. On one hand it was our fault for not clarifying whether it was a starter or 'with the meal', on the other hand, a dynamic restaurant might have adjusted for the situation they found themselves in, and kept the guests happy. Food was ok, my Welsh burger was really tasty. Would eat there again, but not if it was busy, or if I was in a rush.
