More of a seaside bar than a pub, food all day is a big bonus. Good choice of food, including basic pub food and Thai curries, so all the family were happy. A bit noisy on the Saturday night we visited, but liked it enough that we went again midweek and was a bit more laid back, but still busy due to a quiz night (think it's bingo on Tues, quiz on Wed). Good service. Got the impression that inside was mainly locals, but as tourists we were welcomed in along with many others sitting outside enjoying the last of the sun and the view of the sea.

Good food, lovely staff, great location. Landlady is Thai, we think, and her Thai Green Curry IS THE BEST WE'VE EVER HAD!!! So tasty. Steve at the bar is a great bloke. Very friendly and welcoming. Games room for kids, ample seating inside and out. Great views. Fabulous pub 😁👍

Popped in this evening as the outside area at our first choice was full. We haven't been in here before in the evening only for lunch sarnies. Our meal was lovely, we will certainly be back. Wife wasn't very hungry so she had a 9" pizza, I had the gammon. All piping hot, well cooked and a decent price. Gammon came with two eggs and a pineapple slice. Thank you We'll be back

Ordered three fish and one scampi and when it arrived the one fish was fairly ok but not brilliant. One fish was cool inside and the other was not cooked inside. Took them back and eventually returned with the same fish which we sent straight back to be returned later with the original salad and chips obviously just been microwaved. Sent them back and had new fish but still with original salad and chips. Even then not a very good fish. Will definitely not be returning. 👎👎👎

Shocking! Very dismissive of new customers. They seemed put out by us even being there, as we weren’t local. I’ve been coming to this area for over 40 years, it’s always been the same. I would say take your business elsewhere like the Amroth Arms or bars in saundersfoot and Tenby, this place is not good at all, sticky carpets and cheap food !

Not sure where some of the people who have reviewed the food here normally eat but they need to get out more. Canteen cafeteria standard basic grub in a dated in need of decoration and a refit bar. My wife and I had a lazy lunch in the sunshine at the Temple Bar. The food was lovely, I had a cheese burger and my wife had the scampi, they were both tasty, hot and well presented. We also had a very nice bottle of wine. Our bill came to under £40 which in todays cost of living crisis is a bargain. If I had one slight niggle it would be that the lads at the bar don't seem to look like they enjoy their work, but when you get talking to them they're fine.

Stopped here for a drink and lunch. Very disappointed at the portion sizes and quality of food. We felt very much that we were being ripped off. £7 for chilli nachos that were no bigger than our hand and £5.50 for a specials board chicken kebab which turned out to be 3 pieces of chicken on a skewer. Such a shame as it could really be a nice place being located so close to the beach. I think the owners need to think more about their value for money! We left very hungry!

We had spent a lovely day out and made the big mistake of going here for food. Absolutely terrible customer service! The most confusing seating and ordering instructions that they then blame the customers for . When you walk in there is a sign saying “please wait to be seated” I stood at this sign and the bar staff just stared at me until I had to shout across the restaurant to ask if I should come in . I was then greeted by a very unfriendly unhelpful member of staff who spoke to me like I was an idiot and even said to my husband “that it was a shame people couldn’t read!” When referring to customers not following instructions that they themselves clearly didn’t abide by themselves . A guy who I presume was the owner stomped around shaking his head at anyone who came in. And a table of local las sat glaring at us the whole time. The food was ok ,but the atmosphere was one of worst I’ve experienced in an eating establishment, they don’t deserve to have a business.

We totally do not understand how this place can have such a high rate... We received the most grumpy customer service ever! The man behind the bar had most sour face and attitude towards us... We waited for food for ages (45 mins!) and we got an impression that he forgot our order. The place was not busy at all. Sticky tables. Front door was wide opened so we felt cold and closed it. The man came from behind the bar and ostentatiously opened it again... Clearly he does not feel the need of building client's loyalty or basic welcome. The food was average. We received a very warm welcome on each visit from all members of staff, ate super food (hearty portions!) and all very reasonably priced. I thoroughly enjoyed the ploughman’s lunch which was served with a substantial salad and very generous portions of two different cheeses along with a freshly baked baguette and pickles. Highly recommend you try this. I actually had it twice! I also had a super omelette which was again served with a large salad and generous portion of chips. The quiz and bingo nights gave us the opportunity to meet and chat with friendly locals which made our stay in the area fun as well as helping a local charity that benefited from the proceeds of the well attended quiz night and raffle. If you are in the area, do yourself a favour and pop in - it is well worth it.

I went to the temple bar with my daughter as I often do, to have a catch up with friends this evening. My daughters pictures have been posted on numerous of occasions on the temple bar website, displaying her affection to Mikey (the dog). No doubt this was a publicity stunt on the owners behalf, but non the less.. the affection was genuine from both sides. Tonight, I was absolutely horrified at the way in which the proprietor lectured my daughter after she had accidentally stepped on Mikeys foot. Not only had Mikey been under general anaesthetic for a minor procedure earlier that day, with his owner stating that he was still heavily sedated and “not quite with it”, this poor dog could barely walk. However, on entering, he leapt to his feet when he realised that my four year old had come over to give him a attention. During the evening, she had accidentally stepped on his paw, to which I witnessed the owner, sternly telling her to “stay away from him” that she was “not to touch him” and that “he had warned her to be careful around him and that she was not very nice for stepping on his paw”. (Rich from a man who allows his heavily sedated dog to loosely parade around a public area when clearly under the influence of strong medication). As a parent naturally does, I questioned the owner as to why he was speaking to MY child in this manner, and challenged him when reminding him how much she loves his dog; not to mention that it was an accident and that she was four years of age! I also brought to his attention that not only how he spoke was inappropriate, as so was allowing his poorly dog to be laying half conscious in a public area! I admit that I soon lost my temper with him as he stood defending his dog, to which my little one became distressed at the prospect of hurting him. He soon “banned me” told me to “get out” and to “take her with you” (referring to my toddler!). So yep.. I can’t argue in relation to the fact that this man has an unquestionable love for dogs, so so that he is capable of upsetting a small girl and losing yet more local custom. On the bright side, he’s still on for winning next years “friendliest pub for dogs” award. Shame they don’t spend money and need their owner in assisting them to the bar

Popped in on a Sunday eve whilst on Holiday (no where else was doing food) I was a bit dubious about the decor, very outdated working man's club style with grubby carpets but was absolutely delighted to see they did Thai food, what a find ! .... or maybe not.

Called in yesterday evening and booked a table. Made instantly welcome and the bar man called in tongight to ensure our table was reserved even though he wasn’t working. They have a service where they will drive you home after a thai meal in the evening if you enquire upon arrival. We didn’t need this. Our food was brought fast and was excellent. No table cloths it’s a pub. Dogs welcome and things like air hockey and table football in the back bar if you have children. I Didn’t see any children in the main front room I’m pleased to say. They asked if the food was okay and really cared about your answer. Starters, mains and two glasses of wine just over £40. They do have food other than Thai and even have breakfast menus and things like hot chocolate.

Stayed in amroth for 2 weeks and come here around 6 times overall. Food is very nice and prices are different. Staff are all very friendly. We also loved the quiz nights and bingo nights. Its dog friendly and although we didnt have any dogs with us we enjoyed stroking all the dogs that come in. Felt like a very friendly place.

The wild cafe is lovely for kids with the music and scenery around etc and tv cwtch to keep them entertained, menu short for Lunch usual basic stuff- nice food tho and huge portions! Jacket potatoes always taste old tho as If they’ve been standing or reheated.. morning staff weren’t keen on offering a breakfast said if was closed but online it said until 10.30 maybe it hadn’t been updated online but the boys behind the bar just seemed like they couldn’t be asked so we left it, a nice woman tried to offer us a alternative but it had already put me off at the fact they couldn’t be asked

I was excited to try the kiosk after visiting the area on holiday. Sadly it didn’t live up to expectations. The server was neither welcoming nor friendly. The sandwiches I ordered were due to come with coleslaw and a side salad. But when I opened the box neither were inside. I’m not very assertive so it took a lot for me to go back in and explain to the server. He said he’d run out of coleslaw but could do a side salad. No apology or hadn’t mentioned this when I placed my order. I wouldn’t have bothered paying over £16 for just two sandwiches. Sadly I didn’t have the confidence to ask for my money back as my anxiety got the better of me, so walked away. The sandwiches were tasty and the bread fresh, but we won’t be going back I’m afraid. Really disappointed. Everywhere else we’ve been had been so friendly with good customer service.
