Brilliant campervan stopover. Superb new serviced pitches with plenty of other parking available. Made to feel very welcome by the hosts. Restaurant food was excellent.

This place has a very extensive menu with so much choice! We were accommodated very quickly despite it being very busy. Service was very good. One item was missing from one of the meals but this was resolved very quickly. Highly recommended for families with a range of tastes and preferences.

Just had Sunday lunch. I had Beef & hubby had Pork. It was all home made and piping hot. It was the best Sunday lunch we’ve had in a long long time. Couldn’t fault anything. Staff were polite and caring. Would highly recommend.

I was disappointed at the change in the menu. I was planning on having the delicious faggots again but they had been removed. I ordered chicken and chips. The chicken was so tough and clearly deep-fried ..... I took it home for my dogs. My friend ordered scampi and salad. Lettuce and chunks of under ripe tomato. Coleslaw plonked on the side. It wasn't even busy, so there wasn't a rush on. What's gone wrong? We won't be rushing back ....

Breakfast, between 12 - 2. Was brilliant, bacon, sausage, beans, egg, mushroom & toast. All the best ingredients, freshly cooked. And a great cuppa tea. Might be late breakfast for some but after shopping it’s a treat. Try it.

Chance stop today. Very quiet restaurant, however order taken and food arrived swiftly enough. Huge portions, hot, tasty. Good choice for kids including pasta Bolognese, decent size portion . Desserts looked amazing unfortunately we were too full.

Went for a meal this evening and our food took 45 minutes to arrive and the restaurant was half empty! When it arrived, it was OK and the food was hot - but not worth waiting that long for. We won’t be returning

This will be the third time we have eaten here and again it was absolutely brilliant. The steak and the fish and chips were outstanding as was the scampi. There was a small discrepancy which was dealt with professionally and discreetly and was a good representation of all of the staff there. Great food, handy parking and reasonable prices.

We decided to try the takeaway Christmas food they provide. It was really easy to order the food, staff were very helpful and the meal was lovely. Portions were generous and the food well prepared. We will certainly be visiting the restaurant for a sit in meal in the New Year.

Let's start from the beginning, we arrived in Begelly to stay in a lodge 10 mins from the pub called to ensure they were still open the landlady who answered the phone I'm gathering was very ubrupt Saif yes wer open but no food which is fine we never asked that to start with !!!!! ,,, took a nice stroll down to the pub where we experienced the most unwelcoming atmosphere I have ever experienced in a pub no hellos nothing just daggers !!! ,,, we had my autistic nephew with us who is 6 years old and has an issue to keep still so he liked to have a little wander although we told him to be careful when he's running around which is pretty normal for a child as far as I'm concerned to hear the ubrupt Rude and miserable landlady shout at my nephew saying " don't you run around I mean it!!" I would have rathered her come to us and say can you stop him from running around which we would have not a problem if it was such an issue !!! We have never had this issue before so clearly we wasn't welcomed from the start as we ain't locals maybe ? ,,, on the way out the landlady heard my mother say come on wel take you somewhere to run around to which the landlady replied loud and clear "yes in a field" clearly no respect or consideration for any type of disability absolutely revolting attitude I will never ever return !!!!

Restaurant was fully booked and were told we could wait for a table and have a drink, which was totally fine with us. We were kept up to date as to when a table would come free and seated not long after we arrived. Food was really nice. Decent, hearty portions. I had steak which was cooked medium rare to my liking. Mom had gammon. We were all really happy with our meals and left full and satisfied. The atmos is really nice. Family run and all staff seem happy and content. Excellent customer service. Thanks!

We stayed in Amroth and ate at the Begelly each night, couldn't fault the food or service and will no doubt be there again next year.

Really disappointed, Me and my partner had the lamb shank, The carrots were frozen carrots just full of water, the mash was also Instant or definitely not fresh as it was burnt, instant gravy was used as it states on the menu minted gravy, there was definitely not mint and not home made ether, I complained to two different staff members and nothing was done, no apology and one went as far as trying to argue, Won’t be using these again especially as their expensive for the experience we received

Friendly staff, warm atmosphere and tasty food. We went twice and both meals were very good. Great for the whole family.

We visited yesterday for Sunday roast and it was the most delicious roast we've had in ages! We all had beef and yorkshire pudding and our 4 year old enjoyed a pork sausage dinner. The veg was plentiful and beef was delicious! We were served with a smile and our waitress took our dessert orders promptly after we had finished our mains. Then came the wait. We waited and we waited. We watched all the other tables get their desserts, finish them and leave their tables and ours never arrived. We didn't see our waitress again so when we were getting fed up of waiting, we asked another waitress to follow up. She did not return to our table. Instead, another waitress came with a pad ready to take our dessert order! I couldn't believe it! We explained that we had already ordered our desserts but there was no apology. She said dessert wouldn't take long. We decided to leave it. When we got to the bar to pay our bill the desserts were on it and we had to ask the barman to remove them! "I heard about that!" was the barman's response when we explained what happened. So why didn't someone come over to our table to apologise? Shoddy service spoiled what would have been a great experience.

This restaurant had a really nice interior and also nice gardens if you wanted to eat outside. The menu was good and offered more that the usual pub fare. Food was nice although a couple of menu items were not available. Great service - very pleasant, helpful and friendly staff.

Ordered our food but waitress said that we had to get our own drinks from the bar. This was repeated for the second drink halfway through the meal. The steal pie was sunk in the middle and looked as though it had just Benn microwaved. The meat in the pie looked and smelt like Pedigree Chum and was just a a mushed up mess. Needless to say, have not been back!

Brilliant friendly servers, knowledgeable about the food served, we had the succulent beef roast dinner and it was good - very good. Real gravy and veg cooked to perfection. We asked for extra gravy, brought to us straight away - with a smile. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance in the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The cleanliness in this establishment is second to none, it’s always sparkling. Well done to the cleaners. We have eaten in the evenings off the menu and again the food we chose was excellent. Just finished a takeaway Sunday lunch from this restaurant. It was brilliant, well cooked, good variety of vegetables, generous helping of turkey.and it came on time. It was piping hot even after I drove back to Amroth 4 miles away

We were on holiday in the area and saw this place while passing so called in for an evening meal, we weren’t disappointed. Everything we had was really tasty with lots of flavour and all piping hot . All the staff were very friendly and welcoming too . It was so good that we went back the next night and would definitely go back if we were in the area.

Good selection of meals, can’t rate the Sunday lunch thou as this was evening. Staff chatty especially barman. Not sure why the chips are called gourmet?? As just chunky frozen chips!! Veggie burger bit bland / dry could of done with a salad inside & some fresh avocado or Halloumi cheese .. Rest of the meals good especially the steak and nice warm plates. Definitely would go back.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly welcoming staff. The food was beautiful, piping hot and filling. Really quick service and a fully stocked bar! Would definitely recommend a visit!

Called here on our way back to our guesthouse after a day on the beach in Tenby. It was exactly the type of meal we were looking for. You certainly wouldn't call it posh or fancy, just a good honest tasty pub type meal at a good price, served in a pleasant restaurant with friendly staff. We'll certainly be using it again if we are in the area.

We travel from port talbot when ever we can for our sunday lunch. Usually every other week. Its the best sunday lunch we have ever had at any place and we have been to a lot. Always hot and very tasty. Fab veg and roast potatoes to die for.always look forward to a beautiful sunday lunch here.

We ate here friday night as we walked here from the nearby caravan site. Service was good, also the food. One slight negative, as I was finishing my cockle and lavabread starter, I found a small piece of plastic. I pointed this out to the waitress and almost immediately the manager was at our table apologising profusely. Aparrently it was a piece of the cream container that had fallen inside when opening the container and hadn't been seen. No problem as I saw it. The drinks we had were removed from the bill. I would use thisplace again no problem.

I know I haven't been here for awhile but I can honestly say I know the Owners, I hay NEVER had a bad meal, service & welcoming are always given, yes, I have seen certain staff members come & go on my visits but never had a bad reception or service from any of them, I am disappointed about some of the reviews as I'm sure Peter is too.

Have not been her before, but a family member had visited and recommended it. We were nor disappointed,as soon as we arrived we were made welcome. The meal was served on hot plates and it was well cooked and presented.We had the chicken and it was moist and cooked just right, the veg was nicely cooked as well. We will be returning.

Has a family meal here, and was left disappointed with what I was served. I chose the chicken and rib combo all of it was bland (apart from the chips) the chicken was ok but the ribs resembled something hacked off from roadkill - I received a discount of £3 where a 50% of the meal was inedible. Won’t return.

Visited with family on Sunday 26/5/19 was put in side room which was cold with no atmosphere, waiters service was rude and blunt , this didn’t improve at the bar on ordering drinks , Sunday lunch arrived , pre packed beef , small amount of veg , no extra gravy , basic dinner not worth the high price tag , whilst paying the bill at the bar notice people in there had more choice of veg than us how is this ? Stay well clear of this over priced venue .....

Stayed overnight while visiting family. Good location easy to find, great parking. Hotel enjoyable, good clean rooms, good standard. Had no chance to use restaurant but heard nothing but compliments. Breakfast cooked to order, tasted all fresh, no hanging about in warmers. Minor gripe from "later birds" was the hour slot, particularly for a bank holiday Sunday. However nothing to stop us using, recommending venue.

Whilst staying at the campsite at the end of the road, popped in for an end of easter treat. On arrival female member of staff very politely and quickly took our drinks order and showed us to our table, not long after took our order, whilst waiting for our starters my 2 yr old was asking where is food was, asked member of staff if is food could come with our starters, this wasnt a problem, which my little one was very happy with. Didnt wait to long for our main meals, the portion sizes was really good, unfortunately i couldnt eat all mine, next time know not to have a starter. Everything was really lovely. Even down to you putting my oldest boy dessert in a box for him to eat when he gets back. Thank you so much for a lovely ending to our easter break. And its really lovely when you have staff who has excellent customer service and very good people skills, your staff on tonight are a credit to your business, hopefully see you soon. Thank you again. Called in for dinner without booking and were seated quickly. Staff very friendly and gluten free options available. As a Coeliac it’s often hard to find ‘safe’ places to eat but there were plenty of options available. The children’s menu was also varied and our older child was able to pick a slightly bigger children’s meal from the smaller plates menu. Food arrived quickly and was well cooked. A lovely place.

We booked 5 rooms and wow what a wonderful place. The rooms were absolutely spotless and they were decorated to a high standard. Right from checking in to leaving, the customer service was first class. We all had lunch and it was excellent, the breakfast was piping hot and really tasty. Can't thank you enough for a wonderful stay, can't wait to come back.

Party was wil organised and managed by hosts. Anything we wanted was never a problem including specific buffet requests. Hosts and staff were very friendly and approachable and keen to please. Our family and friends made use of the hotel facilities and were positive with their feedback. Venue was outstanding and appropriate for our party. I go there very often with my family and I also use to go to the sporting chance in red roses before they moved. I know the staff very well and I have known then over 13 year. I just enjoy there food and area so nice I can't help myself but going back.

Wasn’t as bad as some of the reviews suggested, not fine dining by any means, sandwiches on just ordinary white/brown sliced bread, cakes certainly not homemade looked like mini frozen ones. Will I go there again, no, would I recommend it, no!!! We’ll just leave it at that.

This is the 3rd Sunday Lunch we have had at the Begelly Arms and dare I say it just gets better. The service was spot on. The waitress took our order and within minutes, arrived a piping hot delicious Sunday Roast. The vegetables were cooked to perfection along with the selection of meats. I can only say that I couldn't beat it myself. Everything tasted sooo fresh.

We were the only ones in the place so why the service was non-existent I am not sure. It also wasn't very friendly. Plus we had to wait 15 minutes. I suppose that was prep time for the sandwiches, ham, egg and cheese. It was the food that was the clincher. The sandwiches were tiny, flavourless, ok, no probs. A tiny pot of mustard and caramelised onion on the plate, which I presume to was to improve the taste. The pastries were in the thawing stage, dry and tasteless. One was so hard, not from being frozen, we couldn’t even cut it in half to share. No scones, no cream, Nothing special but also not really edible, we left most behind. On the whole, nothing was great, the food, the service and the environment. If it were just one of these things I would just walk away and say nothing. But when all is poor I have to say “Just don’t bother”.

The afternoon tea that I had here was the worst that I’ve ever had, to but it lightly. The portion size was that terrible, the two of us who had the afternoon tea where so shocked we started laughing when we where told to ‘’enjoy’’ it as we both thought that there would be another one coming out due to the size and the products that where there.

We went there as a family - 2 adult, 2 children and the lunch itself was superb. One of the better Sunday dinners we have had outside of the home. They have signs stating that they would prefer people to order food promptly and to not be on their mobile phones - people complain about that but I personally think it’s a good thing.

I had the chicken Romano with chunky home cooked chips and vegetables and my partner had steak and ale pie, both meals were very tasty. Desserts were in a display cabinet so I couldn’t resist the white chocolate and raspberry roulade which was absolutely gorgeous. The owner was very friendly we will definitely return.

Visited for Sunday lunch 16/09/18 with my parents we booked day before and was lucky we had. The service was great ,The food was amazing no complaints it was well presented very good potions of everything and was piping hot which was a big plus for myself, none of us had a negative thing to say about it.The three of us thoughly enjoyed and will definitely return.

We arrived at lunchtime on August Bank Holiday Sunday, without a booking, as a party of 8. To say we were being optimistic was an understatement... The owner was very apologetic and explained they had over 200 dining that day, so was unable to accommodate us. Not to be deterred however, the smell of the food being served meant that we returned instead on the Tuesday evening to see whether the taste of the food lived up to the smell.

The last time I visited I placed a review on trip advisor which highlighted a problem with how the lamb was sliced. Within days the owner responded confirming there had been a problem with the setting on the slicing machine the Sunday which was soon resolved. He invited me back and offered complimentary desserts due to the problem.

I visited this place with family for dinner whilst on holiday in the area. We ordered drinks at the bar with a very friendly bar tender who also told us where our table was and that someone would be over to take our order. The menu is amazing as there are so many options. Another friendly waitress came over to take our order and afterwards, the food arrived in good time and looked delicious. The steak I had was cooked perfectly (medium-rare) and all of the meals were cooked well and tasted good. They also serve very generous portions. Overall, we had a lovely meal there and I would recommend the place to anyone in the area.

Optimistic walked in no reservation but with a bit fitting in got a table for 2 . For Sunday lunch this was excellent. Wide choice of meats beautiful freshly cooked veg and piping hot. Great choice of desserts and service. Coming back.

Stopped on spec while travelling to Saundersfoot. Although it was busy (thre eas a large party of guests who may have been to a christening or other such service) the very helpful barman (he may well have been the manager) was able to seat my wife and myself very quickly and without any fuss. Our order was quickly taken by a very efficient experienced waitress. Within 15 minutes pipping hot Sunday lunch of generous portion of beef and lamb with amazing home made gravy and boiled and roasties and garden peas was served to us by a pleasant young waitress. A side of carrot, broccoli and cabbage was also served. The lamb and beef was delious and spuds cooked to perfection. Portion was that large (for our average appetites) that we couldn't do a dessert. While the menu was not that extensive it did cover the basics as far as tradditional Sunday lunch was concerned. It was also possible to select more than one meat for main. Atmosphere at the establishment was very good with a good mix of older couples and families. There was even a note requesting customers to refrain from using mobile phones in order to help waiteress' ensure they took people's orders correctly. All in all a very good experience and we would certainly return if back in the area any time soon.

Food was average and the prices reasonable. You have to get your own drinks from the bar which isn’t the end of the world, but I do like to be waited on.

Food average but OK, the smoked haddock and chicken curry. Service leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered our meal and waited, looking around we noticed that there we notices saying that using our phones was not allowed as it hindered service and that they rather we talked. Fair enough, but what service? I asked for a drink while I was dining to be told "drinks are at the bar" . The restaurant was not that busy. We waited, patiently , for the waitress to return once we had finished our meal, no sign of anyone. Eventually our waitress returned and efficiently cleared our plates and asked if we would like Dessert. The cost of dessert being £5.75 put us off considering our main meal was just over £9.00. We declined and asked for the bill. We were told the bill was waiting for us at the bar. We were the only people left in restaurant by this time.

Title says it all. Very nice fish and chips; crispy batter, huge cod fillet and lovely crispy chips. First visit, won't be the last.

Have been many times for Sunday lunch stuffing is the best and the meat always plenty of it. gravy don't get me started on the gravy mouth watering already. Also had evening menu top notch food always a treat. Pete and Jackie the owners always friendly can't do enough for you always go that extra mile. The staff are always smiling and chatty and check to see if anything els is needed what more could you ask for. highly recommend for food or just to chill with a nice cold drink in the new decorated outside garden. Been to the Begelly Arms twice before for food and have got to say the food is very good.We went last Sunday for lunch with family and yet again the food was very good.On arrival our drinks order was taken bye the landlord and we was shown to our table.some of us had finished our drinks and waited quite a while and our orders had still not been taken.The time that we were there they was not that busy.I asked one of the waiters politely if there was someone that could take our order please which he did,next thing the landlady stormed across and said that i had shouted at the waiter demanding that he took our order and insisted that SHE was the ONLY one who took food orders.i tried to explain that i did not shout and was polite but she she just said what do you want.If looks could kill then i was a dead man.Her attitude was appalling, we all felt very uncomfortable throughout our lunch and even my 7 year nephew old asked why is she so miserable.I was so embarrassed in the way she spoke to us.I wanted to walk out there and then but knew we would struggle to get in anywhere as there was quite a few of us.We will DEFINITELY not be going there again.

due to family circumstances, I had to arrange a reception for a wedding. I only had three days to do this, so I phoned Peter the owner at the Begelly Arms and asked if they could accommodate a small wedding reception for 15 guests. Peter was really helpful and despite having another reception in the function room, he said that they could do a roast dinner for us.

We decided to have a family meal here as we heard a lot of good comments. We arrived the bar man wasn't very pleasant to us. When the food came out I had the faggots which I found very dry and a bit tasteless. My husband had the chicken he said the sauce was nice and it was a bit tough. I do hope it will improve. I was very disappointed so won't be coming back any time soon.

Booked a table for four of us. We went early and sat outside for a drink as it was a lovely day. At 12.20 we went in for dinner. We were given the menus and 20 minutes passed before someone came to ask us what we wanted. We ordered our food and waited again awhile for our food. They were busy so we were okay to wait. I must say the food was worth the wait. My mother is 84 and doesn't eat a lot so asked for a child's meal. The lady told us that she could have a medium plate which was what we ordered. My mum, dad and husband had the lamb and I had the nut roast. It was all beautiful and hot and the selection of veg was very good. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will go back again. We have now moved to Kilgetty and will be bringing any visitors with us.

We took our 12 year old granddaughter here for a meal. She loves gammon but would have found full portion too big but the smaller plate was a good size. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

We had breakfast and evening meal here on 2 occasions and we were not disappointed the food and the service were second to none and I would highly recommend it

Had a nice meal here one mid week evening. Staff were friendly. Pub was fairly quiet as mid week, early evening. Would def recommend eating here and would go back again.

We have been fortunate enough to go to the Begelly Arms

Just moved into the area and had friends visiting so thought we would try out the Begelly Arms and then found the restaurant in it is called Crossroads.

Just called in here on the off-chance of having a Sunday dinner. We were asked if we had booked but they managed to find us a table. Great selection of beers. Very friendly and quick service. PROPER home cooked Sunday dinner. I’m sitting here writing this review as we can’t move! Fantastic 3 meat dinner, loads of veg. Great service, good atmosphere. Can’t fault it.

Not been here before but friends of ours have so ask if we would like to try it. I did book and good job too as they were very busy doing two Sunday lunch sittings. They were also happy to move us to an other when we asked without any problems.

Stopped for a spot of lunch at this pub/restaurant today. Outstanding home cooked pub grub enjoyed by all. The deserts are a must especially the strawberry and raspberry gateau which was delicious. Would recommend anyone to try this place especially if you are staying in Bluestone which is a 10 minute car journey. Can’t wait to stop there again....

We have just left the Begelly arms after it was suggested by a full Boar’s Head.

Beautiful place great selection of Beers Wines etc Owners and Staff very friendly and the food is great and very reasonably priced. Lovely relaxing place and since we're moving in nearby shortly will definitely be my local.

We live locally and decided to go out for lunch as a family ( 4 adults ) We intended to go to Tenby but we had hailstones and torrential rain so we wanted somewhere we could park outside. We had been to the Begelly Arms several times for Sunday Lunch, and always enjoyed it so I phoned to see if they were serving lunch and they were. This was on a Thursday.

Approx 20 of us came to the Begelly Arms as an end of season Christmas party.

Four of us enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunch here today, the beef was perfect, garlic potatoes were some of the best I've had.....and being a fan of crumble, I have to say it was just spot on.......plentiful portions, lovely atmosphere and very reasonably priced.....thank you and we'll be back!!!
