The Wolfe Inn website looked inticing and the menu satisfied all of our tastes. So we booked a table for four on Saturday evening well in advance because of the Easter holiday. We were looking forward to our evening dinner after a lovely day out in St Davids and Solva. We arrived on time at 8pm and waited at the front desk to be shown to our table. The pub/restaurant appeared to be fairly busy and the atmosphere seemed good and friendly. After a 5 minute wait we were shown to our table which was located in a small dark back room which unfortunately resembled the appearance of a tired and sad cafe. We waited for someone to take our drinks order and after 15 mins of reading the menu several times I decided to go to the bar to get some drinks. The bar offered a limited selection of lagers and ales which was a slight disappointment and the bar waiter appeared 10 minutes later and took my order. I was told that the drinks would be brought to our table. We waited patiently for our drinks and after 10 minutes of reading the menu again our drinks arrived. We took the opportunity to ask if we could order our food, but to be told that table waiter would be with us shortly. (There's a theme beginning to develop here 😉) After 15 minutes of reading the menu several times again I decided to track down a waiter. There were several staff engaged in conversation near the bar and bingo my luck was in! I asked if it was okay to order our food and miraculously our order was taken on a iPad there and then! I thought I'd order some more drinks to celebrate so I went to the bar and waited by myself for another 10 minutes to be served. I arrived back at our table with the anticipation that our food orders would arrive shortly. After a further 10 minutes wait I decided to track down a waiter to ask where our food was. I was told that they would check with the kitchen and let us know immediately. After 5 minutes we were told the our food was being prepared and would be with us shortly. Our food arrived 10 minutes later and I really thought it was going to be worth the wait. How wrong I was! We'd waited for approximately 1.5 hours for an average offering of food that was well below our expectations. I considered making a complaint, but I knew that I would be wasting my time and we really needed to be home before midnight 😂 I would suggest to the owner of the Wolfe Inn that you appoint a restaurant front of house and a dedicated bar person with a bar that offers a good selection of lagers and ales 👍

Great ice cream selection. Man working there was lovely. Other staff didn’t acknowledge us. Very unorganised place- our order came in drips-and-drabs. Very expensive for what we had- tried to check the recipe was right but there was no items listed on it. It’s okay as a cafe but wouldn’t visit again.

AVOID. Popped in for a Flat White and wish I hadn’t bothered, expensive and hands down the rudest woman serving I have ever come across. See photo. Clearly hasn’t got a clue to make a decent drink and when I returned to (politely) ask for the milk to be frothed, the staff member spooned some in 🤣 No words..and add in the the look she gave to her colleague when handing it back to me 🤦🏻♂️ I will never return to be treated like that and I would advise anyone else to walk further up the hill for a proper coffee and some actual customer service. See other reviews that clearly highlight the same. A shame too given the location..

Used to such a lovely place but since it's been taken over it's gone down hill coffee was terrible food was over priced and small cakes were terrible it's a shame it's been taken over me and my family will not be returning and the lady behind the counter needs to learn customer service

Dog friendly which is great love dogs in a place and great sea views. Steve behind the bar does a fantastic job, made to feel welcome always. Quiz and bingo nights supporting local charities can’t beat it. Good is well priced and lovely Thai menu, quick service. Thank you

Visited with family. Such sad news at the passing of a great lady. As usual however the food was great an olde worlde type, no new coffee still just the same old coffee taste great. Reading one previous review I think if you want soya and lactose free you need to visit Costa! This place caters for those who want a great meal after a walk. The scones with jam and clotted cream were nice, cheese on toast very good, coronation chicken sandwich beautiful. This is a place to visit and revisit as my family and I do yearly at least three times v

Cracking hotel with a great owner(Karen) and staff, nothing was to much trouble.Gave spot on information regarding the train times(station 30 second walk away)Ditto taxi info.Ate evening meal twice and was good quality at an affordable price, breakfast was also very good and plentiful. My room was clean and warm on arrival and everything worked as it should. This is a short walk from the golden beach, through the golf course, you can then take a leisurely stroll into Tenby. All in all a fantastic stay and will be back. The hotel really is in a prime spot to explore the coast all the way to Pembroke and beyond. Remember, diesel on the chain.

Wouldn’t recommend. Tea tasted of chemicals. Not very accommodating asked to move table as couldn’t see for sunshine and no blinds and they weren’t helpful. Breakfast nothing special for the money. I’ve certainly had better. Turning customers away when tables are empty. Slow service

Didn’t disappoint. Lovely meals all served with humongous Yorkshire puds! Lashings of gravy and the cheesy leek dish was the best!

We visited Cathedral House a few times during our recent stay in St Davids. The cakes and pastries are fresh and tasty and the citrus cake deserves a special mention. There's also a good range of hot and cold drinks. This is a great place for lunch and afterwards it's definitely worth spending some time looking around the shop for things to take away.
