We visited Cathedral House a few times during our recent stay in St Davids. The cakes and pastries are fresh and tasty and the citrus cake deserves a special mention. There's also a good range of hot and cold drinks. This is a great place for lunch and afterwards it's definitely worth spending some time looking around the shop for things to take away.

What the hell happened? All that money spent making this place look lovely last year, this year it’s gone to the dogs. As previous review mentions it’s being run by kids who really don’t care. The food and coffee was ok, but felt really chaotic and messy. Such great potential, but just no thought, care or attention has gone into this place. Sort it out!

A very disappointing experience. Food portions were inconsistent for the price. The two lads serving really didn't want to be there and had all the personality of lumps of lard. The establishment should recognise the need to train its staff in basic service etiquette and presenting themselves accordingly; the casual demeanour really lets down a world-recognised historical centre like St David's. Welsh tourist officials and local visitor concerns should take their roles far more seriously.

Popped into Cathedral House whilst working in St Davids. Very impressive place. Shop at the front selling great local products and a cafe at the rear. Had a brie and bacon pannini which was very tasty. Great quality ingredients. Also had a cappuccino which was the nicest I've had in a while (I try lots due to lots of driving). 10/10 shall definitely pop in when back in St Davids. Highly recommended,

Called into Cathedral House for breakfast, breakfast baps highly recommended, and also the following day for coffee and cake. The manager was super friendly as were the staff and service was quick even though it was busy. The cakes were amazing! Bakewell Blondie was so good we called in again the following day to take cakes for our journey home!! Also dog friendly which is a plus for us with our Labrador. Will definitely return

We called in yesterday with our lab for coffee/tea and a couple of breakfast baps- which were delicious. The staff were prompt and friendly. The cafe was clean and spacious. Couldn’t fault it.

Caerbwei Cafe - we called in for a breakfast on our way home from a wonderful week holiday further up the coast. A vegi breakfast option was avocado toast and i loath avocado so asked if I could choose some options? Eggs were available but not scrambled, poached or boiled just fried! Ok I will have a fried egg with mushrooms beans and hash browns and a piece of toast. I was horrified to see the lady who served us blow her nose and then go straight to the fridge without stopping to wash her hands! 🤢 Meanwhile a young man leaned on his elbows scrolling through his phone at the counter 🤦♂️ our breakfast arrived, the toast ( supposedly sourdough, unconvincing) had margarine on not butter, the mushrooms were like rubber, the beans were poor quality and finally the hash browns! These were literally like rock! No potato inside just cooked to death! I guess been in an oven for a very long time or over done in an air fryer not sure. I told the lady they were literally inedible and demonstrated by jabbing with my finger to a solid sound. She offered me some more but why she would think I would want this is beyond my comprehension. No refund was offered. As we left she did apologise that we had a negative experience however I was quite unconvinced of her sincerity. Give it a miss!

Lovely friendly welcome, even when we were soaked and with a very wet dog. Bought takeaway coffees, croissants and breakfast sandwiches and all were excellent. The cafe is large with an outdoor area and the food being served looked very appetising.

We had drinks and a snack. My husband's tea and sandwich were excellent and the sandwich came with crisps and a nice salad. My coffee was fine but my scone was dry and tasteless. I wondered if it had been frozen - it was cold in the middle. Won't visit again.

As fairly regular visitors to St Davids, we were very keen to visit the newly refurbished building which had been empty for years. The building has been revamped to an excellent standard and the shop contains a variety of lovely gifts. The coffee is the best we’ve had in a long time and the rocky road was definitely the best I’ve ever had- chocolatey but not too heavy as rocky road often can be. The staff were friendly and pleased to receive feedback. We’ll definitely be returning to sample the lunch menu and, of course, more of the coffee! Diolch am groeso arbennig.

This was our first visit here - we'd just popped in to browse the shop but got enticed to sit down by the tea and cakes! Really lovely place, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The Welsh cakes that I had were lovely and the sausage roll that my husband had went down a treat with him! Will definitely revisit - the lunch menu looked lovely, but unfortunately we were just too late to give it a try, so we need to go back on our next St David's visit.

We live in the village. Keen to support local business ... but sorry... Awful. The food was awful! Dry and old. They did offer an alternative but it was SO awful that I was happy to leave. Never again.

Visited with family. Such sad news at the passing of a great lady. As usual however the food was great an olde worlde type, no new coffee still just the same old coffee taste great. Reading one previous review I think if you want soya and lactose free you need to visit Costa! This place caters for those who want a great meal after a walk. The scones with jam and clotted cream were nice, cheese on toast very good, coronation chicken sandwich beautiful. This is a place to visit and revisit as my family and I do yearly at least three times v

Didn’t disappoint. Lovely meals all served with humongous Yorkshire puds! Lashings of gravy and the cheesy leek dish was the best!
