What a great on/restaurant very friendly Owners and staff and an exceptional pub with friendly engaging locals. The ideal venue for a party or reception the Pelcomb is deceiving it’s like the tardis inside also very modern clean and spacious plenty of parking and seating outside make the Pelcomb complete.

Whilst staying on the close by Pelcomb Cross Campsite we booked this pub for Sunday dinner. It was incredible! I can honestly say this is the best pub roast I have had the beef was delicious and the staff are super helpful and friendly. We also had dinner here and the fish and chips were also 👌 reasonable prices and a chilled atmosphere

We had been told that there were new owners and how good it was now. My hubby had hunters burger with lots of trimmings with it, my son, girlfriend & myself decided to have Chicken Tika. 1 with just rice and 2 half & half. We shared a chocolate brownie & ice cream & a banoffi cheesecake & ice cream. The food and sweets were lovely. Staff very attentive and the food very quick to come to the table. We will definitely be back to taste some more on the menu.

We really enjoyed our meals again today. I ordered the cheese & broccoli bake, it’s still the best I’ve ever tested - really cheesy. My husband tried the Hunter’s chicken topped loaded fries, which he said was very tasty. We found this pub last year, whilst we were staying at the campsite next door, so decided to book again. Really friendly staff - would definitely recommend.

Visited this pretty little pub for a drink and a bite to eat. We tried to book a table for 8 o'clock to eat, but was told to book it earlier so we booked for 7. As it was 6 already we took our drinks outside and decided to wait for food. We gave the assistant our mobile number as I could see that there were phone numbers next to bookings. She didn't seem that bothered. We had been outside about 30 minutes, when they rung us to say that they were cancelling our booking as they had decided to shut the kitchen early. The table next to us outside had food and all they did was complain about it. Can't comment on the food, but zero for customer service

We visited for an evening meal while staying nearby on holiday as it is dog friendly and had good reviews. We phoned to book a table and were given a friendly welcome on arrival. The menu contains a nice range of options, 3 of us shared 2 starters and then we all went for steak options having had a long day walking. The steaks were all cooked as requested and came with a choice of vegetables. The desert menu was more limited but had enough options to make our choices difficult and all of the deserts were very good. We were probably fortunate to be sat away from the large TV that was showing sport and pool table so it was quiet enough for easy conversation throughout the meal. If you want good food in a friendly environment the Pelcomb Inn is well worth a visit.

We had tried 2 other pubs before finding this one. Menu is good classic English/Welsh pub fare with a selection of specials on the day. We sat outside and ordered a surf n turf ,child's chicken nuggets and chips and a bacon brie and cranberry baguette. Food was freshly cooked to order and brought out in quit a quick turn around The baguette was on point with a lovely fresh salad, the child had no complaints. The steak with the surf and turf was cooked well but a little gristly. Dogs were happy with fresh water provided for them and easy to ask for a refill. Right by the main road so a little noisy but we enjoyed it would pop in again if in the area.

Called in on the off-chance they could squeeze us in for Sunday lunch which they could and we were grateful but it went downhill from there. Firstly snapped at by a waitress for sitting at a table which she hadn’t wiped. We both ordered the beef and I tried to order dessert at the same time but was told our dessert order would be taken after we had finished our main meal. The food arrived quickly, the beef, broccoli and gravy was very nice however the roast potatoes were overcooked and rock hard, same for the Yorkshire Pudding, the side dish of mash and swede was ok but a bit sloppy. While eating we had the young lad behind the bar throwing empty glass bottles into the bin under the counter with an almighty crash making us jump! Our main meal was cleared away, the waitress walked past our table at least a dozen times but never once asked us if we wanted to order a dessert, we could have called her over I suppose but instead paid the bill and left. We wouldn’t visit again

We have ate here before whilst staying at a nearby caravan site so was looking forward to returning. However, we arrived this evening and found there were plenty of seats available which we were surprised as it’s a bank holiday. We sat outside as we have a dog, and asked for menus. We were told it was over an hours wait for food, which was surprising as it was quiet, but we were fine with that and ordered drinks. The waitress said she would bring menus out. 20 minutes later the menus hadn’t been brought out, and people who had arrived after us had menus. We drank up and left. The waitress had seemed to be very busy as she was the only person working behind the bar, whilst the other person working (landlord?) stood behind the bar but seemed to be unable to use the till. Such a shame as we’ve had good meals here previously, but they seem to be either understaffed or uninterested

Well, made our first visit of the season to this lovely part of Pembrokeshire staying at one of our favourite parks and ate at one of our favourite pubs again! This really is a magical little place, the scenery is pretty but I've stayed on sites with a better view, the facilities are great but we've stayed on larger sites with even better facilities, and the pub serves awesome food, but then so do lots of others, so as I'm sat here chilled out and more relaxed than I've been in ages, I wonder what exactly it is that makes this place more magical than most of the rest?I think it's the combination of all of the above coupled with some of the friendliest owners you could wish to meet, from Tony who wanders round most evenings to check on guests, Geraint, the owner who jumped out of his car and came to our rescue when the wind got under our tent, or the lovely smile and warm welcome from Geraint's friendly other half. The welcome extends from the site to the pub, even the waitresses remembered us from last year, and the locals are welcoming too.it doesn't feel like a campsite and a holiday, the owner and patrons of the Pelcomb Inn make you an honorary local and treat you like a friend... That's something the huge sites are lacking and it's why we keep coming back here.My lasagne and home made chips was perfect, my bottle of wine cost around £11 and my husband's curry went down a treat... Sadly, back to work on Monday, but if I could find work in Haverfordwest I'd live here in my tent! Wales winning the football made it even better, here's to winning Euro16!Thanks again guys, we expected it to be great and as usual, we weren't disappointed!

when we got there it looked amazing and was taken aback by the stunning views of the local scenery. We were greeted by Geraint the owner i think and he showed us to our pitch which was a lovely pitch with an electric hookup,He asked us if we needed any assistance in pitching our tent which we would have taken up on as our tent is a vango diablo 900 and is a massive 8m x 8m x2.25m pitching size. anyways we started putting the tent up and a family from across the way were shouting over asking if they could help so we said yes and they were lovely too.after we got tent up and the stuff in we popped into nearby haverfordwest to buy food and other things for the weekend.we got back and went to the pub that the campsite also own and was stunned by the very reasonable prices of both the food and drink. the first night i had the lasagne and the wife had the steak and ale pie. they both were huge and came with a massive portion of properly homemade handcut double cooked chips, which made me think of how my old man made them. they made us feel so welcome that we asked for an extra night there and then.the facilities on site are very good they have two sinks for washing up as well as fully heated shower blocks with toilets and a small games room for the children with a pool table.the other staff such and ken and tony were so friendly and was more than helpful with little things like change for the pool table and freezing my ice packs.they have two little dogs named Elsa and Lola they are so cute and funny.we were so relaxed with our stay that we booked another stay there in three weeks time and hopefully will bring some friends and family along with us.10/10 haven't got a bad word to say.

We visited this pub whilst staying at the owner's campsite just down the road, which meant we also got to enjoy 10% discount off the food.We only went to grab a quick dinner after driving from our home in Bridgend to the campsite but it turned into such a pleasant evening that we visited for food a few more times over the weekend. If you read the rest of my reviews, you'll see I'm a big fan of local independent pubs with proper home-made food and not much of a fan of chain pubs. This lovely little local is a great example of why, brilliant, home-made food with real chips, a choice of bar and restaurant to eat in, cheerful friendly staff, warm and helpful locals and that cosy atmosphere that no matter how hard you try, you just cant replicate and spread along a chain. The drink prices were phenomenally cheap too!We loved every aspect of our stay and the friendly locals of Pelcomb Cross (at the Inn, the village and the campsite) made us wish we could just up sticks and move. Sadly there's not much call for Senior IT Engineers and Digital Marketing Managers in west Wales (but if any Pelcomb locals are in need of either, we're a phone call away and are open to offers!)We will be going back later this month and the only thing left to say is a great big thank you for making our first holiday alone since getting married (so almost a honeymoon) a very special weekend, thanks so much to the village of Pelcomb Cross!

We had to wait a while for meal to be cooked but staff attentive and apologised for the wait. Food was tasty and well cooked nice sized portions even for 2 hungry teenagers.2nd visit was due to another pub down the road not serving food on a Tue night which seems strange when its holiday season and I would imagine you should be taking every opportunity to make a profit. Anyway we headed back to Pelcomb inn it was little quieter but still had warm welcome with attentive staff. We tried different meals this time and all as good as 1st time home cooked and tasty pub food. The lamb shank, fish & chips ,curry & steak and ale pie all good. Today I had Sunday lunch in a party of four. The alarm bells should have been ringing as soon as we entered the pub - it was almost empty and looked a little run down. We ordered drinks and were shown to our table in a large room with only one other table occupied - by a family of five. Our order was taken fairly quickly but it went downhill from there. While we were waiting for our first course, the man in the party of five got up and went out to return in a short while with the waitress in tow. He proceeded to show her a hair he had found in his food and complained generally about the standard of the food and the poor service. They left refusing to pay for the meal. At this point we should have left as well but foolishly decided to stay saying that he looked like a very fussy man. Hindsight is a marvellous thing! After waiting an age, our French onion soup arrived. It was tasty enough and reasonably hot, except for my wife's which was almost stone cold. Many apologies and some fresh hot soup later we began the next long wait. The main courses again were reasonably hot, but, while being edible, were certainly not up to the standard I would expect. We decided to forgo the dessert simply because we didn't want to be kept waiting any longer! If you want a hot, tasty Sunday lunch go somewhere else. Avoid the Pelcomb Inn like the plague!

Such a shame, so much potential. The place used to be so popular. Now a shadow of its former self. Appears to be very run down and in need of a lot of time and money spending to bring it back to what it once was.

So, it's Easter Sunday evening, about 8.15. We are in blessed Pembrokeshire on holiday. We rock up at this pub we've been past many times over the years, and decide THIS is the evening we will try it. Good move. Empty dining room/lounge. Cheery welcome from the landlord. I asked if there were any specials on, and was told that most had gone over lunch: what did I fancy? We talked about lamb and i was told about the lamb shanks cooking: they sounded good to me, but might not be cooked enough (he said). The landlord went and checked, and the dish was declared good to go, so I had a portion. My husband had Welsh Black (beef) curry, being advised it was spicy hot. My lamb shank was utterly delicious, even if the plate included salad in sauce, which i suppose is just like a dressing, really. I was told that in fact, I'd had the landlord's supper: he tries out the first batch of a new recipe and because i preferred lamb to anything else he had, his supper landed on my plate. We discussed the sauce it was cooked it, and I am happy that it was all fresh or home made. And the Welsh Black was toothsome too. I can't say the same for the pud my other half and I both had (not home cooked), and there really is no excuse for squirty cream, but there was an apology for it, and we had been offered ice cream, which was lovely. Hubby said the real ale was worth the second pint. Good service, good craic, excellent main meals, have recommended to others.

The woman accidently put fag ash on my egg and chops and the Chinese man wouldn't turn off the Newcastle football match. Large collection of cask ales.

we just had one of the best times at Pelcomb Inn .the food was great, the accommodation brill, beer grand, our well behaved dog was spoiled, we felt welcome, looked after, valued and well fed. the pool table is one of the best cared for. walks on the doorstep fab. beaches close by, town and shopping close by. the locals were lots of fun too.nowt was too much trouble, we just loved it all. thanks to brilliantly fab staff and management. If you have a muched loved dog, you cannot go wrong with the Pelcomb Inn, just keep dog on lead out front as it is a busy road in the daytime.

Just back from a week in Pembrokeshire, and anyone looking for a family friendly pub serving good quality food and drink can now look no further. We paid two visits during our holiday and on both occasions left there 100% happy, The owners and their team looked after all the family and made us very welcome, a smile and a chat are worth as much as the quality of what is served - and the Pelcomb delivered on all counts. A very nice Sunday lunch and superb steaks are very much at the top of our recommendations but there looked to be something for everyone and all very good value. Kids meals came with a free drink and you got a card after your first visit that gave you 10% off food the next time. We'll return to Pembrokeshire and the Pelcomb - both fantastic!

We were tired travellers when we arrived expecting no more than an average holiday haunt. Surprise! A genuine friendly Welsh welcome in a traditional country pub, a bit touristy but an overall good experience. The food was well prepared and properly served, the other tourists didn't manage to spoil our evening and the landlord was friendly and knew how to serve the local brew at exactly the right temperature (very rare these days). I recommend!

driving back to our campsite we noticed the sign at the edge of the Road offering a family run and family friendly, warm welcome, great ales and food pub..With that we just had to try it, not really expecting it to live up to expectations... it did and went beyond. The owner was fabulous. He was so good at not only his job but with customers being the only person at the time behind the bar he was attentive and flexible with providing the drink our fussy children were happy with. I had a home made balti which was just the ticket, they had a wide variety of home made dishes and the ones that we saw come out all looked tasty.. Very accomodating and well worth a visit.. we visited on the way back from Oakwood theme park so had had a long exhausting day and was ready for some hearty food !Would definately return and keen to try out their B and B facilities maybe next time, as I am sure the breakfast would be super!

The Pelcomb Inn is a very friendly place with great bar staff and good food. They have local bands playing from time to time and everytime we have been there the entertainment has been first class, in fact its how we found the band for our wedding. The food is good pub grub, I can recommend the beef curry. A little pearl of a place

Wonderful food and plenty of it, excellent value for money, fantastic service, all staff very polite and willing to talk, atmosphere was very welcoming too. The sort of pub I would like for a local. We will definitely be going back. The food was definitely freshly cooked as the pastry on my pie was perfect. Meat inside was perfect and loads of it. A1 service A1 pub.

The wild cafe is lovely for kids with the music and scenery around etc and tv cwtch to keep them entertained, menu short for Lunch usual basic stuff- nice food tho and huge portions! Jacket potatoes always taste old tho as If they’ve been standing or reheated.. morning staff weren’t keen on offering a breakfast said if was closed but online it said until 10.30 maybe it hadn’t been updated online but the boys behind the bar just seemed like they couldn’t be asked so we left it, a nice woman tried to offer us a alternative but it had already put me off at the fact they couldn’t be asked

I was excited to try the kiosk after visiting the area on holiday. Sadly it didn’t live up to expectations. The server was neither welcoming nor friendly. The sandwiches I ordered were due to come with coleslaw and a side salad. But when I opened the box neither were inside. I’m not very assertive so it took a lot for me to go back in and explain to the server. He said he’d run out of coleslaw but could do a side salad. No apology or hadn’t mentioned this when I placed my order. I wouldn’t have bothered paying over £16 for just two sandwiches. Sadly I didn’t have the confidence to ask for my money back as my anxiety got the better of me, so walked away. The sandwiches were tasty and the bread fresh, but we won’t be going back I’m afraid. Really disappointed. Everywhere else we’ve been had been so friendly with good customer service.
