Wouldn’t recommend. Tea tasted of chemicals. Not very accommodating asked to move table as couldn’t see for sunshine and no blinds and they weren’t helpful. Breakfast nothing special for the money. I’ve certainly had better. Turning customers away when tables are empty. Slow service

Popped in here 2 days in a row for Coffee, on the 2nd day we decided to pop in and see if we could sit after a long walk and grab some Welsh Cakes. We were lucky, and managed to relax with a brilliant coffee and some amazing Welsh Cakes, sadly they were devoured in one mouthful so we had to get some more! Seriously good. And the service, was absolutely fantastic, such a lovely and friendly team who were so patient with every customer. Made us feel very welcome and as well safe!! Great work to everyone involved here!! Highly recommended!

By chance we happened to park outside and thought we would give it a go. The food was of a good standard although a little sparse on fillings. Couldnt really complain but we thought it was just average. Next visit we will probably try elsewhere.

Up until now every place we’d visited in Pembrokeshire has been warm, friendly and welcoming. Sadly the atmosphere in this place is none of that. Felt positively uncomfortable. Ordered a hot chocolate and a tuna sandwich. Received half a cup of chocolate coloured liquid. Worst hot chocolate I’ve ever had. (Certainly not £2.50 worth) The sandwich was made from cheap dry wholemeal bread. With the bare minimum of filling. It did have a sliver of tomato and a slice of lettuce to decorate. There must be many more hospitable cafes in St.Davids. This place certainly isn’t recommended and we won’t be back.

Stopped here for a quick sandwich in advance of a boat trip. Very quick service but otherwise unimpressive: sarnies were just sliced bread from a packet and the hot chocolate one of us ordered came in a mug which was barely 2/3 full - pretty cheapskate in a busy place where there is so much competition. If returning to St Davids, we will look elsewhere.....

Visited today 04.06.19 place as quiet, so easy to grab a table, food was nice, staff were pleasant. Bit concerned as I was leaving I noticed the premises only has a 1 star hygiene rating, which is worrying, possibly wouldn't have visited if I had seen that prior. They don't take card either, only cash which was annoying. It's 2019, you have mobiles use them as a payment receiver method.

Popped in for breakfast and was left waiting while the two women in the kitchen area chatted, yes they knew we were waiting but where more interested with gossip. Breakfast finally arrived and was, well, Small. We were then suprised to hear a local woman being served at a different price, to which i queired. The response was rude and abrupt ! She knew we had spotted it and wanted to get rid of us. I have given one star "Terrible" rating because the options dont go any lower. We won`t be visiting again but i guess that does`nt matter because thousands more will.

We were enticed by the scones with jam and cream, so we ordered those with a latte for me and an Americano for my husband which was a bit weird because there wasn't much coffee in his cup and it was served with a pot of hot water. Never had an Americano like that before! The scones had been heated up, but didn't taste at all fresh. They were heavy and dense and it really doesn't help to heat up past-their-best scones. If I hadn't had the jam and cream to go with them I wouldn't have been able to eat mine as it would have been too dry.

My family and I visit Bwthyn Y Bwyd every time we visit St Davids and we have never been disappointed. It is a humble place offering comforting home-cooked food. They don't make any airs and graces and everything is of an exceptionally high quality. The Irish lady who runs the place clearly loves to bake and there is always a large range of delicious cakes and gateaux on offer as well as her famous Irish soda bread! (We also recommend the jacket potatoes, toasted sandwiches and cream teas!). She is absolutely lovely; attentive without being intrusive and friendly without being overbearing. Occasionally (who we think is her) husband will join her to help serve, and they are a great team. All in all this place is perfect if you are looking for something quick and unpretentious and we will, of course, be back.To address the review below: I think it is highly plausible that the "rancid" look of the bacon was not noticed/obvious and would have been addressed directly and appropriately by the owner if the issue had been raised at the time.

Visited this small cafe this morning. A nice welcome when we arrived soon after 10.00 a.m.. We were looking for breakfast that did not cost more than £10.00 as seen in previous cafe we visited just before, We were offered a bacon and egg sandwich at £4.45. We asked for it as toast and bacon and egg rather than a sandwich. It arrived fairly quickly but immediately I could see that the bacon on my plate was old and rancid. We had just travelled for 2 1/2 hours so didn't want to make a fuss.and I ate it anyway. The toast was two slices of cheap Hovis sliced bread. The bacon was clearly rancid so why was it served I ask? £4.50 for what! This was a clearly a rip off exploiting tourists for all they can get. We left a little unhappy to say the least. Really put me off visiting St Davids again.

Packed (and rather uninviting) tea shops around the main square in St Davids made me search elsewhere for tea. And I found this very charming and welcoming tea shop run by an equally warm and charming Irish lady. Why go anywhere else?

We have been visiting this little gem of a place since August 2014. We cannot stay away for too long..even after a move from st. david's to Goodwick, we make sure we get here at least once a month. The lady is so sweet and super friendly to us, that we always feel at home and very at ease and comfy! The scones are the best around and even taste better than the ones I've had in Devon and Cornwall! The jacket potatoes are also super yummy and all the puddings are..we should know as we pig out every time! We cannot help ourselves! This is on our top list of gems! We thought that we'd found a good bolt hole to have the occassional drink and cake whilst we went shopping during our holiday. The first 2 visits went off fine, no problems. Good food, attentive young waitresses. However on our third visit things weren't so good. We were served by the owner who got our order wrong and we had to get one of our paninis changed. What concerned us was that we both witnessed one of the staff drop some teaspoons on the floor, and instead of getting them cleaned she placed them in the receptacle to be used again. Sorry, that's wrong, and we didn't go back. I had to check with my wife that I'd seen this and she confirmed that I had. As there was a dog in the cafe at the time and the place is fairly busy, its just not acceptable.
