Sunday lunch - waited 45 minutes. Vegetables brought out and waited another 5 minutes for the meat. Lamb was inedible, vegetables clearly microwaved. Carrots bounced as were so rubbery! Chicken and mushroom pie full of watery ‘gravy’ and chips were overcooked. £44 for this ( including a lager and soda water) owner didn’t bother to come out when we complained. We were given a bill for the whole amount although the lamb Sunday lunch was not eaten. After querying this with the waitress who spoke with the owner ( on the other side of the door ) we only paid half the bill. If the owner had been courteous enough to come and speak to us we would have paid the bill. The waitress told us that the staff had tried the lamb / veg and there was nothing wrong with it. Terrible overpriced food with zero customer care.

We pulled into the car park & our hearts sank. It was nothing like the image on booking.com would have you believe. An old caravan that appeared inhabited one end of the car park & an old car with flat tyres by the main building. From checking reviews after arrival, I saw we were not the first to have this reaction. Really not a good first impression! That said, we received a warm welcome inside & our room was clean & very comfortable. The sea view we paid extra for was a bit of stretch but you could see it in the distance from the velux roof window. Being in the roof space we kept bumping our heads on the ceiling by the bed. No fire exit information that we could see anywhere. We decided to try the evening home cooked meal but it was a bit disappointing as it lacked flavour & seasoning. Breakfast was good. Fruit, yoghurt, cereal & several cooked options. Good location for Tenby. It has the potential to be a great place if it sorts out the outside area & makes slight improvements to the food, which isn’t bad but could be so much better. For £3 more we had an amazing meal at a pub elsewhere that was a whole different level of cooking!

If you are somewhat fed up of trying to find a table in an overcrowded Tenby pub or restaurant at this time of the year, then why not take a short drive towards Pembroke, next to Penally station, you'll find The New Overlander pub and restaurant. It will be worth the drive. Simple, yet delicious home cooked meals, well presented by accommodating and welcoming staff. If you are not the driver, try one of their many cocktails to conclude your visit.

Hi all, We had a meal with you last night (first time) I had the pork belly, Mum had the chicken and mushroom pie. We came back again at short notice today for Sunday lunch I had pork, extra gravy and carrots, Mum had a beef dinner. Kudos to you, great customer service from the team on in the afternoon yesterday and the team who took over in the evening and again today. You were accommodating to our needs, and the food was absolutely beautiful. We'll be back, thank you very much. Ashley

Visited today for Christmas Dinner. The service was not great. They were very understaffed and we waited 1 hour between courses. The food wasn't what was expected for £80 per adult. The soup had a strand of hair through it. The meat was tough and difficult to carve. The mashed potato was packet mix. The homemade Yorkshire puddings resembled pebbles from the beach in texture. The cranberry sauce arrived in the bases of the mince pie's that were served later. The sticky toffee pudding had no sticky toffee sauce whatsoever, just a brown sponge and beige custard that tasted like water. However, there was a lovely light refreshing shop bought ice-cream served on the top. The cheese board was small slices of various cheeses that had to be shared, with an assortment of 12 crackers served with 3 grapes between 5 people. All whilst sat in the cold with the ambience of two dogs barking throughout a 3hr 30 minute sitting of waiting for meals. The type of meal you would expect at your local greasy spoon near the local family shopper of a boarded up council estate. I am sorry I expected a little more than what was served. The manager was not very approachable and did not like negative feedback. There was no apology, however she did reduce the price. Edible, if you have you're own teeth.

Called in without booking, waited 45 mins for a table but was well worth the wait! Staff were all fab, especially the 2 young girls helping out the waitress! Food was great, I thoroughly enjoyed my braised steak while my husband passed comment several times on how good his chicken & feta was! A well run, family business that I would love to return to again & again

Didn’t disappoint. Lovely meals all served with humongous Yorkshire puds! Lashings of gravy and the cheesy leek dish was the best!

We live in the village. Keen to support local business ... but sorry... Awful. The food was awful! Dry and old. They did offer an alternative but it was SO awful that I was happy to leave. Never again.

Visited with family. Such sad news at the passing of a great lady. As usual however the food was great an olde worlde type, no new coffee still just the same old coffee taste great. Reading one previous review I think if you want soya and lactose free you need to visit Costa! This place caters for those who want a great meal after a walk. The scones with jam and clotted cream were nice, cheese on toast very good, coronation chicken sandwich beautiful. This is a place to visit and revisit as my family and I do yearly at least three times v

We had the Sunday lunch. The chicken was ready for immediate consumption but the veg took 20 minutes to cook 🤷♀️ We also had beef which was reformed. The veg were in foil trays and had to be reheated. Totally tasteless. Later we thought we would try the fish and chips. (We were staying locally.) The chips were soggy, as if they had been left over and re fried in not hot enough old oil. The fish was grey and chewy. Horrible.
