The best restaurants serving British food in Wales

Never been here before but my boyfriend has and he recommended the place when we came it it was lovely atmosphere and loads of people there which was lovely to see the staff were quick to take our order. And it did t take long for our order to come out. The food was lush everything was piping hot and the meat just fell apart well worth the money and I hope to return soon

Good Choice, tasty food & Friendly stuff

Found this place by chance on booking .com website. Beautiful building, outstanding customer service, amazing views and so peaceful. We had the room at top of the "tower" with amazing views, although the bathroom was separate (still exclusive use for us) but on its private landing. I think it was Joseph (excellent customer service and friendly, and nothing too much trouble) who served breakfast, which was included and very nice.

Cheap cheerful food in a food pub atmosphere. Good value.

Lovely food at a very reasonable price. Very friendly staff and very accommodating. Dog friendly. Have been here a couple of times and will definitely enjoy going there again when we visit our daughter who lives nearby. Sad to say this little gem has now closed down and up for sale 😢 Areal shame for traditional pubs with proper food.

My daughter had her wedding day this month and what can I say it was such a beautiful place I've ever seen the staff we're highly trained I'm so polite they worked tired and they couldn't do enough for you thank you so much for a lovely day which I will never forget the wedding and the venue well done all hi I was very highly recommend this place

Freshly cooked cod. We were happy to share large chips and one fish. Chips in one box fish in another and we enjoyed them down the coast overlooking the sea. Would happily return and recommend to family and friends.

Had wonderful tasty Sunday lunch today, excellent selection lovely fresh veg and great meat/s choice & portion!! Staff very friendly cannot fault anything !!

Ordered the silion steak along with three orthers, second worst steak I've ever had. All steaks were at least 3/4 fat. Peppercorn sauce wasn't good either. Left there hungry and had toast when I got home...

Lovely quirky old pub with a great beer garden. We were the only customers in about 2 hours sadly, you wonder how long that can continue? Decent choice of drinks.

Nice hotel and great food with some interesting dishes as well as burgers and steaks. We stayed in the cheapest room (booked via booking.com) which was substantially cheaper than the rooms available when trying to book direct. Our room (room 207) was good value, but didn't really match the quality you would expect of a 4* hotel (stained carpets, damp smell, view of car park and bins and sound proofing between it and room 206 was very poor). If I stayed again I would avoid rooms 206/207.

Called in for food on Saturday afternoon. The service was great, food was delicious and a good selection in the menu. Good sized beer garden with plenty of tables. Definitely a place to visit.

For 60 years one of the best locals. Seems new owner since my last visit. Good beers.

Had a roast here last week it was good, so took friends yesterday. 7 of us in total. Nothing was as good as last week, only had 2 starts left, despite us booking for 14:30, about 5 unavailable. Beef was poor compared to last week, in flavour & portion, so much gristle, no nice meat. Staff not up to date on drink promotions. Thats when you could find someone to serve. Bringing desserts with lunch leftovers on table is not good. Shame you really let yourself down. We had to look online for happy hour, as waitress didn’t know times. Seriously 😦 Please don’t reply with excuses - but make efforts to do better.
