Unfortunately disappointing. The four of us (four adults) were shown to a tiny table, clearly suitable only for two people, hard up against the bar, when bigger tables for four were clearly available. We were told they were all booked. Over the next hour and a half we then watched as three couples (two people each) were each shown to each of the three much bigger tables for four around us. Why? There were several much bigger unused tables in other areas of the restaurant. When the food arrived, I'm afraid my pork belly was literally inedible. It was so uncooked it literally couldn't be cut at all with the (blunt) knives provided. To their credit a replacement beef dish was provided fairly quickly. But these sorts of errors are at best extremely thoughtless. It's been a while since we went to the Greyhound. It used to be very nice. Unfortunately after spending nearly £200 we came away feeling very disappointed. Uncooked food aside, being squeezed onto a tiny table for no good reason wasn't great at all. It will now be a long time before we go again.

Probably the best food I’ve had to eat in Tenby. And also the best value too. Tenby is, for me, a tourist trap packed with lots of eateries many of which are overpriced and serving poor food. See some of my other Tenby reviews. This cafe however is a welcome break from those experiences. I was dubious about visiting here given my other overpriced underwhelming eating experiences in Tenby but we decided to give this place a go. It’s cost and welcoming inside and we were greeted and seated in seconds. It’s dog friendly as most of Tenby is but that was also a positive. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the breakfasts we got was great. Very happy. This is my new go to spot in Tenby where I know I will get good food without being ripped off in a tourist heavy spot.

Shambolic experience recently when we went for lunch. They had a funeral wake going on with loads of people. Car park was full, with total chaos as cars were trying to enter/ leave and then find somewhere to park. Service inside was appallingly slow and not helped by very unpleasant lady at the counter. Apparently some people who had booked just went away due to the situation. Its was a great pity as this is usually a very good place to eat.

This pub is just fabulous and very dog friendly. The food was amazing, and I would recommend the chicken curry, it was delicious. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, as were the locals. I would suggest booking as it can get very busy. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.

Thank you Hazel and staff for a lovely evening with our friends last night. We were really welcomed and sat in the lounge which was nice and quiet for our pre-dinner drinks. The 3 course meal we all had was amazing. Our mains-lamb rump and the beef bourguignon was truly amazing(Hazel did say that no one else makes it quite like them-how true-lovely chunks of melt in the mouth beef). The seafood platter to start with was mouthwatering ,also the duck starter which our friends had. The white linen tablecloths and pipping hot plates and food also contributed to the meals being exceptional. We then returned to the lounge to enjoy some more catching up with our friends -not many eating places offer this on Anglesey as most expect you leave once you leave your table. I do not normally write reviews however I felt I had to recommend Bishopsgate. We will definitely be back very soon.Thank you again.

It is a couple of years since we have visited the Amroth Arms - we recall having good food there - we weren’t disappointed on our return! The gammon, steak and especially the lasagna were exceptional. Good portions served in a friendly manner ~ two of us had the old fashioned sherry trifle - you could actually taste the sherry! We enjoyed it so much we wanted to bring our families there (7 adults) but as they were not taking any booking - just adhoc drop ins - and we could not guarantee a table - they missed out on business and we missed out on delicious food - such a shame.

Had my baby shower here in their private function room - highly recommend. A gorgeous space perfect for up to 20 people to enjoy an afternoon together. Stunning decor, beautiful food and delightful afternoon tea with a great service. Could not recommend enough! The food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced.

Been to Anglesey many times, but this is the first time we have visited Penmon Priory and the lighthouse at the bottom of the toll road. The toll cost is £3.50 for cars and this goes to the upkeep of the priory so happy to pay. The road is narrow in a couple of spots but drive slowly and it is fine. We called into the cafe to see if we could get an order to take away and ordered burgers with chips. Wasn't too sure what to expect but the burgers were gorgeous and huge. The chips were also nice, although the portions were large so we couldn't finish them. My mum had a tea and it was lovely, I tried it and even though I don't drink tea very often we ended up sharing it as it was so nice. Staff member that served me was friendly and efficient, and the order was ready quickly. I've seen a few reviews mention the price, and yes I would agree it is slightly overpriced for burgers and chips, but given the quality and location we don't mind paying and supporting a local business.

Quick and short review of our excellent dining experience tonight. Attentive, uniformed staff. Ambiance was warm and inviting. Small restaurant area, though additional seating was available in the public space. Tried the ‘Tuesday Steak night’ and the Crown Fried Chicken popcorn, southern fried chicken, salad, house slaw , fries and a tasty chicken gravy DELICIOUS. Finished off with raspberry crumble and a trio of ice cream and sorbet YUMMY 10/10 👜 handbag restaurant review. Go try yourself 👍

Called and booked a table and informed over the phone we would have a dog with us, person who took our booking was very pleasant, asking what time we wanted to book so that they could ensure we were seated as far away as possible from other tables who were also bringing their dogs. Very friendly welcome from Emma, who looked after us as soon as we walked through the door. Due to a change of chef, there was a slightly limited menu, until new one is released for next season, but when asked for an adjustment to a listed item, they were more than happy to oblige. The food was tasty and the portions were generous. The Bass cask ale was clear as a bell, tasted great and held it's head all the way down the glass. Music was great, not sure if there was a jukebox or piped in but a pleasant change to the usual options of chart 'bangers' or generic muzak. After a previous disappointing meal in a larger venue earlier in the week, this visit was a delight and would be more than happy to come back next time we are in the area.
