At the end of the Penrhyn Bar & Crill (which has plenty of outdoor seating), then Penrhyn Ice Cream Parlour has a good selection of ice creams - they even have ice cream for dogs. Covid regulations are observed; hand sanitiser is available and masks must be worn. Outside seating, at socially distanced tables, is available and, if you get tired of queuing for your ice cream, there are games machines available.

Lovely welcoming team , the food was good pub grub standard , piping hot and good portions . Decor clean and modern , would be nice to have real candles on the table rather than battery ones 😀

We had a lovely lunch. The food was outstanding, plentiful and excellent quality, I would definitely recommend the pistachio trio dessert - devine!! Leighton and the team looked after us very well and we will definitely be returning!!

Came to Abergavenny for a wander and something to eat, couldn’t decide on where to dine as we walked through the town, my wife didn’t want us to pay some of the prices of the lovely looking restaurants as we passed. So fish and chips it was and what a treat it was! Beautiful batter, perfect chips and super efficient service. Only 3 stars for atmosphere, which is a little unfair, they aren’t seeking to provide that experience. This was an every bit as good as award winning fish and chips we had recently in Anstruther Scotland. Thanks, we will be back!

Again absolutely love this place, friendly staff. Was disappointed the bunkhouse was fully booked but understood there was a race on and I left it last minute as usual 😕 😅 the lad gave me directions to the place I needed to be to park to ascend snowdon! Lovely pint sat in the sun outside with a great atmosphere! I stayed less than a year ago in bunkhouse also, was clean tidy and the chap managing loaned me a map! Really rate this gem of a place! Thankyou ❤️

Booked a table, arrived on time, they cook fresh which is fine don’t mind a little wait. Everything was being packed up which I totally understand as was a late booking 10:15, advertised until 10:30, however after 50 minutes still hadn’t had a freshly cooked breakfast because the woman in the kitchen (which you can see from the table) had major attitude with the waitress and forgot to cook half of the breakfast. If I could have had a bowl of cereal then might have been something but it was put away. Then when I asked about the breakfast and why people that came in later had eaten and left, they said there was an issue with a poached egg pan. I’d have happily had scrambled or a fried one if they had said 30 mins earlier. Has majorly put me off and can say I won’t be coming back, will just go to Morrisons cafe next door!

We were down for the weekend for my partner's birthday. We had two mains and two drinks, the bill came to £53. The food was so good. I remarked to my partner that if this restaurant was in Birmingham I'd be here all the time and sample the whole menu. Very pleasant young waitresses, really professional looking kitchen, great food and ambience. Top marks from me.
