The staff serving are lovely but the food quality really let our visit down. The Canadian pancakes were stone cold, the streaky bacon barely cooked. The crispy bacon bagel was anything but, the streaky bacon again barely cooked and smelt like it was off. The cappuccinos were just a milky coffee with no froth. £20 for inedible food means sadly with regret we won't be returning.

Lovely friendly pub with great bar staff and a cosy fire - also really well decorated for Halloween. Well worth a visit, we will be back!

Was there with the family for the weekend. When we checked in the lady behind the desk ( the owner) I later found out was very rude and so unwelcoming. We seen her on various occasions over the weekend but she wasn’t very keen to even say hello . The young guy in the bar was very good and pleasant. He even knew what we all drank without asking. A great wee guy and excellent at his job Also a mention to the older gentleman who served us our breakfast each morning. He was top class and very polite and very welcoming to us all . The owner I’m afraid should maybe spend a day with her staff and they could show her how to treat people who are paying good money to stay at her hotel. The hotel was clean and warm with nice comfortable rooms. But I’m afraid we wont be returning. As we believe it doesn’t cost anything to be polite.

During our stay at Inveralochy we ventured into Fraserburgh for some food and found Maitlands restaurant, which is also part of a lovely furniture store. I have managed organisations and worked with the public for 30 years and spot great customer service within a split second. The ladies who served us from the waitress, cooks, to the person on the till, were warm, friendly, and really made our visit a great experience. We had lunch the first day and breakfast the second visit, and on both occasions the food was tasty and good value. It's not easy to provide a good service in such a busy environment, while making people feel welcome, but those ladies who work there done just that. I listened to how they interacted with people of all ages, how they made an old person sitting on their own feel so welcome, and watched how they stayed busy at all times rushing about keeping people happy and tables clean, not forgetting to ask if we were ok and fancied pudding! We'll be back for certain and won't bother looking around for anywhere else, we'll just head straight to Maitlands for our food. Next time we'll spend longer exploring the furniture store too as it looks as though there's some decent items there. Thanks everyone for treating customers so well, you're a credit to yourselves and the owners. Paul O' Connor MBE Burgess of the Royal Burgh of Aberdeen.

We visited Saturday 9/10/21 , restaurant was quiet when we arrived but very quickly most of the tables were taken. Person who greeted us was very welcoming and friendly as were all the staff on duty. Food was very tasty, would recommend the pate and seafood mornay. I would go so far as to say that this was the most enjoyable meal out all round that I’ve had for quite some time. Reasonably priced too; bill for 4 people - 11 courses and 5 soft drinks was £113. Thank you!

Came as part of the Aberdeen Restaurant Week though we have been a few times before. Food was good-ample portions though it was for the special deal. Staff though mostly young were very professional and attentive. Only thing is menu never seems to have changed in all the years we have been going-could be doing with a revamp. Really nice hotel.

McNasty’s?? Should be called McNicey’s!! First time here, first impressions excellent. Clean looking from outside, food reasonably priced and inviting. Bar staff are very friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. Instantly greeted by Laura at the bar with a very friendly hello love, how are you? and took my drinks order. I was instantly blown away by the service…not what I am used to at all. Even brought my drink to the table and suggested the best place to sit. Amazing atmosphere. As I am writing this, there is a male vocalist singing, what a voice! Bought him a pint and requested a Johnny Cash song, which he sang straightaway. Karaoke later (the reason I came here) and I have high expectations now. I am sure it will be a brilliant night. Aberdeen always is. I will certainly consider this my favourite pub so far. Yet to try the food here…that will be tomorrow! 😀😂 And yes…back for karaoke again! Just hope my voice holds up…..

Been here twice on our break to Deeside. Staff really friendly and helpful. We had coffee and tea on our first visit with a slice of cracknel. Tea, Toasties and cracknel! (again) again on our second visit. Although we only had snacks which were very reasonably priced the food being delivered to other tables looked first class.
