Spiders Web in Aberdeen City

We came here, after a flight from London, for a meal. They told us they didn't serve food, even though I googled food nearby and it popped up. We went to Tesco express down the street and got sandwiches instead. They were rude and the atmosphere was unwelcoming!

Such a great find. We are currently seated in the bar as we have our dog with us. The locals, who are obviously regulars, are so friendly. The staff couldn't be nicer. Everyone is making a fuss of Ruby who has become friends with 2 Westies, I just LOVE this place. We've had a tasty meal, soup for me and a huge burger for him. Nice quality wine and a pint of Tennants. I just wish we could sit in the lounge but totally accept that dogs are banned from that area. I rarely give 10/10 but this place really deserves it...

Met with family for lunch. 2 had the liver & onions,scampi & chicken goujons. Served quickly and tasted lovely. Wasn’t too expensive either. Not able for pudding.

Our drinks and dinner at this hotel were most enjoyable, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and a good clientele.

When my wife and l are visiting Aberdeen for a weekend, one of our highlights is to visit for Sunday lunch as we have visited on a few occasions and it does not disappoint. Sadly not this time I’m sorry to say. Both our meals were below your high standard. My wife had the chicken Sunday roast and l had steak pie. The quality of the chicken and the cooking was a let down. The meat in the pie was almost difficult to chew. Sadly both our meals were returned half eaten. As we are of the senior age group, complaining at the time would have felt uncomfortable for all concerned, l would advise taking the time to review these dishes and if I’m wrong, l sincerely apologise.

Recommended by the receptionist at Holiday Inn Express Airport. A very good locals restaurant (one side) and pub (other side). You can also eat in the pub. Though they have Fish & Chips, they have a well assorted menu, in case you need a break. Food tasted great, came in big portions and at a good price. The place was very busy, but service was always attentive and friendly. I would definitely return. If you find street parking within a few blocks, on the weekend, take it. Especially when a football game is televised.

The Spiders Web hates women - witnessed a man verbally and emotionally abusing his partner in the lounge. It was vile - he was shouting at her, telling her to 'f*** off' and calling her vile names. My partner challenged him and told him to stop talking to his partner like that - the whole bar could hear this as well as the staff - and he continued to be abusive. The manager arrived and basically said he knew the couple and that everything was fine....so you condone domestic abuse?! I cannot believe the level of misogyny present and allowed to be present in this bar, absolutely vile.

Food was superb, service was excellent and the strawberry daiquiri was amazing. I would highly recommend Spiders.

Visited late afternoon/early evening Friday. The place was very lively - noisy and busy with people eating and drinking clearly having a great time with a great atmosphere. However, I was feeling a bit fragile (inner ear problem) and just couldn't face the crowded bar area to order food and drinks. All of a sudden a lovely young lady appeared from nowhere (think 7th Cavalry) and showed us to a seat and took our order. It was an amazing relief and really appreciated. I had the hand battered haddock, which was superb, my wife had the homemade steak pie which she thoroughly enjoyed. Meals being taken to other tables looked equally as nice and seemed to be being enjoyed as much as we enjoyed ours. The portions were all very generous, nicely presented and a delight to eat. Coupled with a nice pint and very reasonable prices there's everything to like about this pub.

Popped in on Sunday for some lunch and drinks prior to concert and the food, atmosphere and service was excellent. 3 courses for me and 2 for my wife. Menu prices are very reasonably and expansive choice. Would 100% recommend and will definitely return next time we are up in this area.

We stopped here after getting off the train from Aberdeen on our way back to the Marriott. It was busy, mainly with locals, but we were made to feel welcome. Good beer, nice people and a jukebox. What else do you need for the last couple of drinks of the night! Will return the next time we stay in Dyce.

Booked this for my wife's birthday treat or the start of it , originally booked at night but changed it last minute to lunchtime but nothing a problem here. Running late cause of weather sleet and snow slowed us down but phoned ahead and again no problem, arrived 15mins late got shown to table instantly the place absolutely buzzing full with a large hen party across from us . We have been before so know the food is home cooked not out of a packet or frozen . Ordered a drink and decided our food my wife battered chicken goujons and me the liver and bacon , approx 10mins later our food arrives big wholesome plates not small portions my wife's salad ,coleslaw,chips with her chicken fillets , me two good slices of liver,2 pieces of grilled bacon and a generous pile of mash with onion gravy over the top , my only criticism being a Chef that my liver was slightly over cooked but I should have asked for it medium-rare as I like it . Perfect start before we go to the hotel close by . Charming staff , bill came to £31 , 2 main courses and a gin and a cider great ! Defo be back again

Agreed to drive my husband to Dyce today for a football match and the Spiders Web was recommended to us by someone local. A good call it was too. I booked just incase and managed to get a space in the carpark which is limited.We were given a warm welcome from the lady behind the bar and her colleagues were all very friendly too. There is a really good choice on the menu and the food we had was delivered quickly and of really good quality, has kept us going the whole rest of the day. Thanks again folks we look forward to visiting again.

My Husband and I have recently moved to the area and after enquiring with a few neighbours, we were told the best local had to be the spiders web. I'd not booked a table as we had unexpectedly ended up free on Saturday night. We walked into the VERY busy lounge but were greeted by a smiling and welcoming member of staff who was more than happy to find us a table. The menu was extensive and the food was delicious. I ordered the oven baked chicken and it was the best meal I've eaten this year! Even though the pub was extremely busy, the food came in a timely manner and was very nicely presented. My husband and I would like to give a special thanks to the waitresses Janey & Bex as they were exceptional. Nothing was a bother and so smiley and helpful. We are looking forward to spending many more Saturday nights in our new favourite local. Thank you for a lovely experience Elaine and Derek at table 3

Good food but felt the tables were far too close together and we were all packed in the lounge tonight like sardines!!

Visited the spiders web a few days ago with friends. Great food, great service and most importantly great cocktails! Special thank you to the waiter with the round glasses, he was very friendly and attentive to all customers. We will definitely be back!!

Overall the food was good but the bad service we received would stop us returning. At one point my husband and I were the only ones in the lounge area so had to listen to rude, uninterested staff who were swearing and speaking about customers who had been barred. I had to go up to the bar 3 times to get cutlery, drinks and remind them of a side order. To top it all of the bill was incorrect and we had been overcharged. Very unprofessional behaviour

We've had many delicious meals over the years at "The spiders" but the Croque Monsieur this evening was simply not up to scratch. The bread hadn't been toasted and there was no bechamel sauce. What I had, was two pieces of warm white bread with some melted cheese on top and a bit of ham in the middle. When I ordered the Croque, I was asked which one I wanted. Was it the fajita one or the panini one? It appears that neither the chef or the waitress know what a real Croque Monsieur is. Disappointing, but won't be put off going back and will know not to order the Croque.

I walked here as I was staying up here for work. It was a hot day and managed to get a table on the patio in the sun. Staff were quick in bringing drinks, and food, also friendly/helpful. Good portion sizes. Great value for money

The chef here is amazing...the chef here is the best. Several choices of main course all piping hot ...pass the test... The staff too are SO friendly and all of them so young.. Always some chat and banter ...a guaranteed great meal...and fun......

Spiders Web has a good variety of meals served by pleasant staff. It can be a little noisy when the place is very busy but well worth a visit.

Sent to Aberdeen on a work visit & staying in Travelodge at airport. This place was recommended by one of the reception staff. I can honestly say we were pleasantly surprised. The lady behind the bar was very polite and helpful. Our food orders were taken swiftly. The atmosphere was good. And when the food arrived in good time it was great. Always enjoy a visit here. It is currently a local of mine, very busy place with lots of locals and transient customers due to its closeness to Dyce Train Station. Always lots of friendly helpful Staff with decently priced quality Pub grub. Good place to watch any major Sporting event and live music at weekends. Well worth a visit... Lost a star for the wobbly Bar chairs and the Bar being quite tight for space when getting served!

Popped in here when I came off the train , asked about local buses and staff were really willing to help. Had lunch - nice menu - opted for soup n salad combo and wasn’t disappointed- good portion and well presented. Drinks average price .

Can’t understand why they are so greedy to church £375 for a big standard pint of Tennents lager only because oil workers pass thru on the way home 😡 You think we are all over paid ? Not fair😏

Had a few messages back and forth regarding the type of food they could provide. As usual nothing is ever spicy enough for me, but at least they tried. Also the staff were very friendly and service minded.

I was at spiders last night with some people from work. Had a really good night and Hannah and Fraser in the bar were absolutely brillaint! They were so lovely to speak to, and made me feel very welcome!

The food choices were reasonable, but uninspired. They got my main meal order wrong, but did resolve that. It just mean that the rest of our group were wanting pudding while I was still eating my meal.

The Spider's is a most welcoming place... very friendly and courteous staff. Excellent choices from a varied menu, well cooked and fresh. Excellent choice of beer and spirits.... 2 minutes walk from Dyce railway station.

Not one of your lunchtime options is suitable for Vegans.

Dined here with family last week and what a lovely place to eat. Haven’t been in here for years. Decided to try here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the menu. The veggie lasagne was lovely, full of flavour and the accompanying chips were crispy and delicious. The battered chicken goujons also really good and the chicken curry with rice, really delicious although not too spicy. All at really reasonable prices, will definitely be recommending here and returning very soon!

This is a well located pub which is handy for Dyce railway station. It has a good selection of beers and friendly staff.

I called in advance to say I was vegan and I was given two options, which was great for a pub that has no obvious vegan options on the menu. Really great food, fresh and really good value for money. Good cocktail list and nice to be able to sit outside in the sunshine. Will definitely be back!

Lunch with three generations of our family. Ellie is three years old and she was in charge. Six soft drinks and a main meal each. They make you feel welcome and that includes children. Ellie got a colouring sheet and pens. She was asked if her drink was to be in a glass or in a bottle with straw, nice touch. The food was good lunch time food.Total price £48. I was impressed. Good service and friendly staff.

Was having a few days in dyce and was looking for somewhere to eat on the second night and found this place on TripAdvisor. The place was busy with it being royal wedding and cup final but had booked a table. Me and partner both had starters I had the soup of the day which was butternut squash with coconut and chill which was a treat while my partner had haggis bon bons which she also said was treat onto the main course I had the special which was seabass on a bed of crushed new poates and again was really lovely the second main was the mixing grill only down side was the chips my partner said. Overall we will be back very soon and would tell everyone to take time and busy this place it is ace

Visited with the family. Meals to suit everyone. Portions were very good. Lots of specials available. Staff very friendly and we were well looked after.

Has been many a moon since I was here and visited for a bite to eat before the train. The decor is nice, it's been done up since my last visit. Was served promptly by friendly staff and peruse the easy menu. Had scampi and it was a good portion size and the homemade tartare sauce was great. Value was good.

Nipped in 6 months after last visit and must say food was not as fresh or tasty as it was before. Place has great buzz when full, beer has been good there for years but not sure where the food has gone. I t was 'flat' and burger tasted like it had been kept warm under a light for a week.

Ordered the turkey dinner, didn’t have high expectation for £12.95 but being Christmas and all, kind of have to. Gravy was more like jelly, roast potatoes (clue on how to cook them is in the name) oozing oil presumably from being deep fried and I didn’t even dare try the turkey, I was actually a bit scared.

Stopped over here after getting a train to the airport. A good pint of ale, descent solid pub food nothing special but nothing wrong with it at all. Recommend this if you like traditional pubs

Busy pub/restaurant, lovely decor - very prompt attention from the dedicated owner and staff. First time I had a certain dish it was excellent - 2nd time the veg accompanying the excellent chicken with a leek sauce was slices of carrot and cubed turnip - not exactly an inspiring choice and tasteless. Pity as its a great place and I have recommended it for our New year get together.

Muy concurrida y popular bar/restaurante, cerca de la estación de ferrocarril de dyce. Aquí un llamado - menú con un precio muy razonable. Esperamos con anticipación para patatas fritas cortadas a mano con nuestra comida - lo que un gotero. El peor patatas fritas en el quemado nunca y ganga. Sin duda utilizó el tipo incorrecto de patatas para hacer patatas fritas y consentido de lo que podría haber sido una buena comida. Algunas otras comidas salió con fichas diferentes, así que aconsejaría para comprobar qué se sirven patatas fritas con su elección de la comida.

Un gran restaurante situado en Dyce. Fantástica comida servida por un personal muy amable y servicial. El menú es variado, para todos los gustos. Cada día muestra una especial. Los dulces son increíbles de nuevo le ofrece una amplia selección. Aparcamiento puede llenarse rápidamente cuando hay mucha gente.

Early Thursday evening and it was quite busy with a nice friendly atmosphere. Plenty parking and seated quickly. Went with the chicken fillets and they were tasty, crispy and fresh. Only slight down was the sweet chilli sauce that had a slight raw garlic taste but I swapped to ketchup and was very happy. For dessert went baked alaska and that wasn't the greatest. Weirdly ice cream was too hard to eat and cake was on top?? Overall though would happily return.

Popped in here for a quick lunch , whilst waiting for a train ( it's only a hundred yards from the station) Place was VERY busy due to football being on TV and no free tables -but staff gave me a table which was pre booked for a later time as I said I would just be eating and going as train was in 40 minutes .Ordered a drink - it was At table within minutes, then they came back 5 minutes later to take food order. Good selection of meals and snacks at reasonable prices . I ordered a vegetarian pamini - it was lovely! Full of cheese and onions and peppers,courgettes and mushrooms - served piping hot with a side of coleslaw and crisps attractively arranged on plate and it was served within 10 minutes of ordering . Excellent service - especially as they had a full house!Would definitely recommend .

Came in on holiday Sunday I ordered chicken burger that was so dry t tastes was cooked day ago served with seven orersized raw hand cut chips, partner had web chicken again very very over cooked, unseasoned veg and again them raw hancut chips that they seem to prides on, nothing was seasoned excpt bacon sauces that was so salty Jesus could moonwalk on it, service was too young to give a care, ordered sweets after reading local paper review of them the bread and butter pudding was just eegs and the menu standard stp was ncooked sugar and cheap ice cream, at city centre prices I'd stick with greentrees

Had to catch train home north rather than drive so popped into the "Spiders" for the first time in several years. Still a great place with a buzz. Good beer, great bar food and all reasonably priced. Usually busy especially when a train is due !

Always end up in here while waiting for my train. Great pub with great selection of whisky. The food is always good as well.

Like the relaxed atmosphere in this place. Good menu with daily specials. Super children's menu with decent portions. The TVs can be a bit distracting,but enjoy the food

Lovely meal in a clean tidy environment. Staff are polite and the food is exceptionally good. Menu offers various meals all reasonably priced. A great location to have lunch at. Would definitely recommend this location to others.

This was my first visit to the Spiders Web and I wasn't disappointed. At midday it wasn't very busy with plenty of tables to choose from. The staff were very friendly and didn't hurry you into choosing from the menu. There was a good choice available and the steak and ale was great. Will definitely go again and would recommend it to friends. Well done.

Great home coming stop off for the boys getting back to the beach. Carry out is not advised, plenty other places around the area to get that considerably cheaper.

This is the second time that we have visited the spiders web and both times we have had excellent meals and good and friendly service.this is an older style pub with bar , restaurant and sports TV one side and a sports bar the other.

Very old pub with offshore history. All guys traveling north or south will stop here for the brake.Classic drink and food selection.

As a solo traveller it is always nice to be greated into a bar as if you were a local. Sports are on multiple screens, there is a good selection of beers / wines / spirits & a good standard of food available.

My family and I dine quite a lot at the Spiders Web in Station Road Dyce, the food is always freshly cooked it has a nice atmosphere and reasonably priced, The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much bother as we often have two children under five with us. They now open in the evenings for meals and we have dined in the evening as the menu is different from the day one you can still have your favourites and they have specials as well.

The Spiders Pub is a welcoming place, has a good selection of beers and does good food on the afternoons. For Offshore workers travelling to and from work, it is the first and last stop for a pint. Great place and nice atmosphere.

I've been eating there couple times.One time I have tried the worst chicken burger in my life.Another time food was just eatable,so I wouldn't go there for dinner again.

During one of our regular trips here wehad seen that the spiders was doing food in the evenings so decided to give it a go. We already knew that the atmosphere and staff were great so much was expected.The food was pretty good traditional pub faire and they quantity of meat in the steak pie was substantial (suffice to say we had to think about pudding - had it anyway).

We popped in for lunch. Havent been here for around 10 years. Staff very friendly and efficient. Good choice of food. Very nice and well presented. Good stop for anyone taking a train to aberdeen or inverness

This place is great .A very good all round pub . The service is excellent .The food is appetising visually and too eat .Since the new evening and snack menu has come in the place is buzzing with a very varied clientele . This place caters for every age group .stop and just have a snack on the way to the train or just meeting some friends for an afternoon catch up with a lovely glass of chilled wine. You can eat inside or out depending on weather but outside area has a covered roof area and heaters ,it's all there .once a month there's live music which is very popular . Caters for small parties etc .i could go on but this place is well worth a visit for the food ,wines beers etc . Very obliging owner and staff .

Lovely pub, very friendly staff, haddock Morney a bit over cooked but tasty, wild mushroom and spinach risotto very creamy but also tasty. This pub has a good vibe and gets very busy on weekends.Thankfully not a spider in sight!

So we were here the other day with my little brother 4. we had just been shopping and so on so went in for a bite to eat. Our order was taken quickly and the staff were really freindly. by the time the food had came (not long) out my brother had fell asleep. the staff were so nice and they said let me put this in a takeaway box too keep hot and let the little one have it at home. we eat our lunch and still my brother slep which was handy. Thank you to the staff and keep up the good service and tasty food

Nice staff. Warm welcome. Good menu and steaks etc. Wall to wall Sky Sports and large groups of lairy loud blokes (and women and kids) all competing as to who can sound the toughest/angriest/sweariest. It is worth a try for the food but just feels 'edgy' and not overly welcoming to strangers. That reflects on the punters, not the staff.

We went on the Friday 22nd July at night and really lucky for us they had just started doing evening meals, service was perfect! Meal came in no time which was surprising as it was really busy. I had a Cesar salad n my hubby had the lasagne both were well presented and delicious. I had to have the panacotta it was served with banana bread, toasted marshmallows and salted caramel sauce! Wow it was amazing! Defo be back the next time we're at the Marriott

Heard the name a few times but didn't know where it was or been before.Went for some lunch on a Saturday as was in the area, I had the chicken burger and my gf had the chicken goujons, both had drinks and was about £20...good value I thought.My burger was a little dry but some sauce sorted that out, venue was a typical pub but lots of space and quieter than others, well worth checking out.

Have not been in for a long time. We all had a very nice lunch. My hubby had the steak pie said the meat was lush! I had the fish cakes very nice but would like a bit more fish in it thanks! Nice to know your opening times are changing doing nights is good...

Visited a few weeks back for a Saturday pub lunch, 3 of us having the steak pie, chicken fillets and lasagne! Brilliant food, massive plate full and we all left stuffed! While there the menu for Father's Day was on the wall and it looked brilliant! Took dad, mum and daughter and after a massive starter of smoked haddock tartlet, we could hardly fit the whole of our mains in. The blade of beef was to die for, soft, tasty and succulent, will definitely be going back for more. We had a couple bottles of prosseco and must say the bill was a pleasant surprise. Good service, good food and we will all be back! Glad to know you will be doing night time meals very soon
