Brilliant pub just unfortunate of the security they have hired, they speak to woman like rubbish the director cheats and ignores his own daughter to have an affair with one of his employees

We have been on a visit this month and last month. We chose to come to McNastys as they are dog friendly. They are a great little pub. Lovely food. Good service and very polite staff. We will most definitely be back again.

Being a Transman, it can be very intimidating going out for drinks, especially when it comes to needing the toilet. This is why Mcnastys almost always ends up being my last pub of the night because the staff; respectful mention to Carla - are extremely accommodating. It puts me at ease on a night out if I'm in Mcnastys because I feel safe and comfortable and I know I can enjoy my night out. It also has excellent entertainment with the Karaoke! All round excellent pub.

This has to be one of the best venues for watching 3, or more, games at the same time. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I was in Aberdeen on business. I’m a Sunderland fan and they were on TV on the same night as Champions League matches. I phoned in advance to ask if they would mind putting the match on for me on one of their 13 screens. I spoke to Ian who was very helpful and said he would see what he could do, but couldn’t guarantee. I walked in 15 mins before the match and bingo - thanks Ian and thanks team - great atmosphere, friendly crowd and great service with a smile. The TV screens are all around the bar, all the same size and the image is great quality. Would highly recommend

Was out with friends on Saturday. Spent a few hours in the afternoon at McNastys then went out for dinner. We then decided to come back to McNastys as service and buzz was good. Stayed there till after 1pm. Great time, great service and buzzing atmosphere. Defiantly be again when in Aberdeen

Great boozer great food but the lassie behind the bar is a crabbit face so in so. Terrible attitude and a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp. Good bevy and food though great for watching football but she puts me off going back after coming here for 2 years

We visited McNastys twice on a trip to Aberdeen. As horse racing fans this is a great place to watch live tv. The service is very friendly. We didn’t try food and to be honest I aren’t sure if they serve food or not.

This review relates solely to disability access and McNasty's failure to follow the Equality Act 2010. I visited McNasty's today for lunch with some friends. As a wheelchair user, independent access to the pub is not possible from the get go. There is no dropped kerb when approaching the pub from Union Wynd. There is however a dropped kerb when approaching from Union Street, but the width of the pavement running alongside Nawabs Tandoori prevents wheelchair access from this direction. Access was eventually gained by being manhandled up the kerb directly outside the pub. It could be reasonably argued that McNasty's is not responsible for the dropped kerbs, however the fact remains that the establishment is not independently accessible, and McNasty's has made no provision to remedy this.Once access was gained, the pub was as I remembered when I was on my legs; nice place, pleasant staff, OK food. A couple of our party visited the toilets, off and back in a mo. I asked a waitress the location of the disabled toilet to be politely asked to wait a moment, and she would show me where it was as she may need to move some items. I thought she was referring to some bar stools, but when we arrived....The disabled toilet was in a corridor, which was blocked by a half opened door, which in itself was blocked by a huge fridge. Access through this space was sufficient for an individual, but certainly not by anyone in a wheelchair. The member of staff was visibly concerned, apologetic, and advised they could move the fridge, where to, I don't know as it was as wide as the corridor.By this time other patrons had noticed what was going on, so I felt part of a spectacle that I had no wish to be. I simply wanted to use the facilities with no fuss, the same as afforded to McNasty's able-bodied patrons. To be denied unfettered access is entirely unacceptable.I declined the waitress's offer to get however many kitchen/bar staff required to move the fridge, and left the establishment in search of accessible toilet facilities.The only thing that prevents me giving this a "Terrible" rating is the staff, as this would be unfair.

This pub is the place to be on a Friday night if you want to work those tonsils! Earplugs wouldn't go amiss either!!

Great lunch with friends. Real feel Aberdeen pub which in the evening is lively and shows sports on many TVs. A real mix of people in the evening and great fun. The owner and his wife really make the place welcoming - visit if in Aberdeen!

I took my Dad here for a Monday afternoon lunch. I had visited this pub in the past but never had tried their food so after checking the reviews on tripadvisor I decided to give it a go and I am glad we did. As soon as we entered we were made to feel welcome by the young lady who served us including taking our drinks to our table and telling us the soup of the day that was available. We both settled for the chicken and sweetcorn soup which was promptly served to us and it was very enjoyable. We ordered our mains and this too was served without delay. The food was excellent and although it is more expensive than youre average pub lunch it was certainly worth it and will definetly be worthy of future visits.

Went in here to watch Liverpool Match, you are spoilt for choice of screens, fantastic service very friendly staff and they even come round with free sandwiches when footy is on, will go back when in Aberdeen

When the cold weather hits a sandwich in a deli doesn't quite cut it for a working lunch so coming here for some soup or chicken fillets. The service here is really good, quick and friendly. The food is also a winner. Feels home made, large portions and the price is really reasonable. Comfy seats too, job done!

Popped in to McNastys for a wee refreshment prior to 007 and lunch (BraidedFig) - The whole place was so clean and fresh and the manager/owner was the nicest man - gave us an honest review and advise about BraidedFig (true).... the staff all were so friendly and took time to talk to us and to enquire about our weekend and our reason for visiting them .. sorry we didn't have more time to spend with you all - we will next. PS 12 tv screens for all the sports channels.... a real find off the main street and definitely not to be missed ... thanks again from the Ayrshire Two xxx

I ended up here with a group of friends and had a brilliant time. Drinks were reasonable and we enjoyed watching the karaoke

Excellent Sportsbar showing multiple matches at a time on many different Big screens. Good location near union street.

Variety of ages if you are into,sport there is usually a different sport on every screen. Can get noisy when karaoke on and makes talking difficult but late afternoon and early evening usually best if u want a seat

Great atmosphere for locals doing karaoke on a Friday night. We were going to a few pubs and ended up here. It was loud and fun but unfortunately had to leave early cos someone in our group fell ill. All I can say is ...it definitely lives up to its name now!

My friend and I come here often for lunch, mainly because of their quick service and cheap lunches. I normally have a soup and a sandwich (for £4.25 - who can argue?) most of the time it is nice but it is a hit-and-miss kind of place. I believe they serve the same soup over 2 days because it can taste fine one day and burnt the next. The waiting staff are lovely but I came across a new waitress last week (June 2015) who was very stand-offish. She walked over to our table, stood beside us and looked at us but said nothing. I thought this was weird but I just said, "Umm, can we order?" Another thing that you may need to look out for is that some of the staff do not use writing pads so they may get your order wrong, which has happened to me numerous of times.This is an old-man's pub, with cheap-as-chips lunches, so you get what you pay for! Average place, you won't be missing out if you never come here!

I've visited this pub from it's opening night back in the early 90s right up to 2014 christmas events. It's busy, lively, full of fun and the staff will always have time for you. Visit on Karaoke nights...they're hilarious.

Probably an age thing, I find it busy busy, busy over the weekend so much you can hardly move, karaoke on Fridays is great if that's what you like, not sure Mr Cowell would say they are through to the next round. This is a place where you come for a good drink and a great selection of sports.The walls are literally covered in sports and the staff are usually quite happy to swap a channel is asked. Good place to go on a Saturday and watch the early game and results come in.

Stopped in by for lunch before we went shopping the place was quite but more people were coming in. The staff were all smartly dressed in there uniform and they informed us when we sat down what the on special menu today we never had to wait long for our food as it came quite quickly and the portions were bigger than I expected it to be and everything was perfect with the food we have know complaints and we would defiantly go back again and it was value for money

We were in the town and decided to seek this place out. Just a short walk from Union Street and it was well worth it. Very good value- my fiance and I had the soup and sandwich combo and my stepdaughter had scampi & chips, all food for under £15. We were the only ones there with a child (she's 12) but the staff were very welcoming and the service was quick- just what we were looking for!

I brought in New Year at McNastys in Aberdeen and what a great night. The bar was opn to the general public up until 7 p.m. then itwas ticket only, which was a great idea. It was £15 per head and limited numbers which made for a great atmosphere, easy to get served and enough room for a dance to the entertainment, not too loud so you could still have a conversation and no floodgates being opened to all and sundry when getting towards midnight. The £15 entrance fee covered a entertaining singer, followed by a tremendous accordion player and then another stint by the singer. Around 11:30 everyone got stovies, beetroot & oatcakes before a piper came in to "play in the New Year". Well organised fantastic night again at (in my opinion) the best bar in Aberdeen.

All you could want for a great pub experience. Friendly staff, good beer, good food and if you are a sports fan plenty of live sport shown the several large TV screens dotted around the walls. The boss Steve is a particularly nice guy. Made really welcome, will be back for more.

Our group of 15 chose to meet here before hitting the Indian restaurant next door. There were a few reserved tables but the batman quickly arranged seating for us and gladly started a tab behind the bar. A cosy hospice ion a cold night with very pleasant staff. Drinks prices are reasonable too! A good start to any night.

Tucked away up a side street off the city's main Union Street, McNastys Pub offers great lunch time fare served up by super friendly staff, Or pay a visit after work or in the evening and view your favourite live sport on multiple giant screens. Great venue.

Best pub in Aberdeen bar none. Always spotless clean, great for sport, fun nights, quiz nights, Karaoke and also raises a lot of money for charity. Food simple but very good and great value for money. Staff excellent. A lot of regulars but very inviting to new-comers into the bar.

And don't have a lot of cash. Burger, chips and a salad for 5,50. Not the best burger, and the salad was rather disappointing, but it fills you up. I would probably try a different pub for my next pubmeal in Aberdeen.

Went here with friends , very enjoyable night , busy place , friendly staff and punters of all ages mixed all together. Karaoke night and lots of laughs , will be back for more , but will try and be a bit earlier and get a table nearer the music,the owners have a great place here.

After getting over the initial apprehension of the name.... It was a nice pub. Two dart boards... Loads of big screen TVs.. And a good beer selection. This is where the jeckle and Hyde part comes in... I have been here when it was filled with classy, good looking people who where out for a cocktail. Great night. Then I have been there when people were dangerously drunk, falling on each other, fighting (if they were not passed out). Yikes! FrighteningSummary,... Depending on the night you pick ( or the time of the night you pick) it can be a classy night or frightening disaster

Been coming here for c12 months perhaps once sometimes twice a week. I find it a nice relaxing venue for my lunch and just a good distance to walk to from my place of work. Food is just what I am looking for especially the soup / sandwich combo. Never had any alcohol as always working but looks to be a good selection of beers. In fact must treat myself some evening to an after work beer. :-)All in all I rate it "5s" for everything. Worth a visit.

went here yesterday for lunch had express lunch which is soup and a sandwich for £3.75 and u get salad and crisps with it my friend had a chicken n mayo wrap and u get salad chips or crisps for £4.95 it was really fine i would go again as its so cheap they have burger baked tatties scampi chicken fillets and a daily speical its from 12 til 2pm
