Came as part of the Aberdeen Restaurant Week though we have been a few times before. Food was good-ample portions though it was for the special deal. Staff though mostly young were very professional and attentive. Only thing is menu never seems to have changed in all the years we have been going-could be doing with a revamp. Really nice hotel.

Overnight stay for 2 to celebrate 75th birthday. Beautiful evening meal and enjoyable accommodation- more than can be said for the Saturday morning breakfast which left a bad taste on our experience. Overcooked and congealed from preparation some hours before we ordered at 9am!!

Maybe we picked a bad night to visit but the food was terrible. Overcooked, poor quality and wrong order served to us. Overall a very disappointing experience and we won’t be back. The staff were helpful when we complained but so far the management have failed to respond to my emailed complaint.

Went for dinner with zero expectations. I didn't realise this place existed despite living in Aberdeen all my life. The menu looked good online and for someone who hates driving in town, this was ideal with ample free parking. Even though I ended up being a passenger princess. We went early evening so it was very quiet. I did call up to book though. Once we got seated I did find it very strange that a massive sandwich board was plonked next to our table with the specials on. Rather than our server just telling us what they were. Good if you forget things easily I guess. The drinks were, something. I was not complaining but when I ordered a Long Island Ice Tea, I didn't expect to see it in almost a pint glass! Though after I looked at the menu again I noticed it was £15. At that price I'm glad it was in a big glass. My other half ordered the pizza burger that was on the specials - so the big board did make us order something from there. It came with home made tomato sauce and herby fries. I looked great. I got a taste of the burger and it had a great burger bun from The Bread Guy. Burger itself was very well cooked and seasoned so it did taste like you were eating a pizza. I had the lasagne. Which I didn't realise came with salad and chips. I didn't read, it is very clear on the menu. The lasagne meat was not mince it was more pulled beef and it was unreal. So so nice and tender too. There was generous amounts of cheese. I did at first wish there was more of it but it was an ideal sized portion to go with the salad and chips. Not too filing overall. I think what would have made it excellent for me is a bit more engagement from the staff. We weren't greeted or said goodbye to when we left which is understandable when it's quiet and you're doing other things around the place so not something I'd hold against them. I would definitely return and maybe try something else on the menu next time.

Unfortunately not the usual high standard that pinehurst is known for. 6 of us for dinner, one main went back because cold, waitress didn’t even say sorry, young staff very inattentive, food delivered and no cutlery, portions are smaller than normal yet prices have gone up. £11.50 for a 200ml bottle of Prosecco….everyone has to make money but that is ridiculous. Very disappointing service, food and price!

Having dined here quite often and found the quantity and quality of food very good. So we went tonight with 2 other couples and was very disappointed. Firstly the steak and ale pie meal was cold and had to go back, the footling dog was not up to its usual standard. A hot dog with nothing else. The size of the lasagne was small to say the least, looked big but that was the salad and chips that made it look that way. Very disappointing! And lastly the price of the Prosecco for a 20cl at £11.50 is a disgrace. Regrettably we will not be rushing back.

Used to come here all the time and headed out for Aberdeen restaurant week. Sat for ages and had to ask to place our food order. Met with slight attitude, why not communicate to your customers that the kitchen is busy so you are holding off orders, don't just leave customers sitting. Waited an hour for main meal. Chips were greasy and the batter on the maple chicken was soggy. Let them know about this and no apology. Posh hot dog had no flavour but ate it as was hungry. Pudding came out eventually. The custard with the sticky toffee pudding was freezing, at least this waiter apologised unlike the other older member of staff. No refund for the meal that wasn't eaten. Maybe have a smaller menu so the kitchen can cope. Won't be rushing back.

Would like to have given a proper review of this restaurant but didn,t really get the chance as after pre- booking for 18.15pm on Friday night all we were served by 19.35pm was lukewarm vegetable soup. !!!! Appreciate that things don,t always go to plan but it would have been better if we had bern informed that orders were running very late in the kitchen when we arrived & we would have had the option to wait or not.! As it turned out, we left after poor starter & enjoyed an excellent meal in Dyce Tandoori where service & meal was 1st class.

Just back from lunch with colleagues at the Pinehurst Hotel, Dyce as one of the girls is leaving and one of our senior managers was visiting. Myself and a colleague had one of the specials, a bagel with chicken, chutney etc with chips. Service was good, and food arrived promptly. I cut my huge sandwich in half and took a bite - texture of chicken was squeaky and didn't look as if it was cooked thoroughly so I tried another couple of bits still wasn't convinced. When one of my colleagues asked how my meal was, I said the chicken didn't feel as if it was cooked, at which time my colleague who had the same said she felt the same- I said I would be fine with the chips and the bagel. Everyone finished their meals, and the waitress started clearing away the plates. I think she noticed that both chicken bagels were not finished and commented to a colleague/manager/owner at the end of the bar, as they kept looking across at the table. The waitress came for my plate and I said "You might want to say to the chef that the chicken needed a bit longer cooking". Waitress said I should have said and I could have got another, I replied that I wouldn't have wanted another one. Well the other woman came out from behind the bar over to the table, like a seagull on a chip stating that the chicken looked cooked to her. I responded that I had eaten enough chicken to know when it wasn't right but I wasn't going to argue about it. She stormed off to the kitchen came back and stated the chicken was properly cooked, I said both my colleague and myself didn't think so and we both had the same. She stormed back into the kitchens never to be seen again whilst we were there. Been to the Pinehurst numerous times for work lunches and meals with family and friends, never had any issues. The point was I wasn't complaining just providing feedback as this was a new item on their menu. The place wasn't busy which is may be just as well considering the fish wife in the turquoise outfit cos if that is how she behaves not surprised there wasn't a lot of clientele. I was left highly embarrassed in front of my colleagues and manager who all agreed that there was nothing wrong with how I handled the situation. Won't be going back ever!!!!! Customer obviously isn't always right. Ps Maybe shouldn't allow staff to have a glass of wine so early in the day - just saying 😡

Husband had scampi & chips, I had fish & chips - both were delicious & huge (for me at least) helpings, though my husband polished his off no problem! Met an old friend here for lunch on what was a filthy day weather-wise, which I'm sure accounted for the lack of people here. Service was top notch, very friendly & efficient, & food was very good indeed - chicken dish was thoroughly enjoyed by our friend visiting from France, my husband really enjoyed his burger, & I had the halloumi fries from the 'starter' section of the menu & was asked if I wanted to increase the portion size, which was a thoughtful gesture but I declined, as I had thought, correctly, that the appetiser quantity would be enough! Would not hesitate to come back, for either lunch or dinner - have had dinner here a couple of times in the distant past & very pleased that the high standards experienced then are still being maintained.

Last Sunday three of us went for Sunday lunch and on arrival got the full menu and also a Sunday Roast Lunch special menu, which all three of us opted for. Usually carvery lunches are you go up and queue but this was served on the plate you just asked for your combination of meats (choice of ham, turkey and roast beef). We all had chicken and sweet corn soup which was lovely served with a warm roll and butter then between the three of us we all had each of the meats either just ham or a combination of turkey and beef. The meal came with oatmeal stuffing, chipolata sausage, bacon, yorkie, roast and boiled potatoes and veg. Usually carveries can be rolled meats but this was proper good quality meats. To finish off a choice of sticky toffee pudding or honeycomb tart was offered but we were so full we asked for ice cream only. All three courses £11.95 per person, exceptional value. My husband & I thought we would try the new Soup & Roast deal & were really glad we did. Service was great didn't have to wait long for our soup & it came with a warm bread roll. We asked if we could wait for our Roast dinner as we were full after the soup. Well it was worth the wait superb meal we had a choice of beef, gammon, or chicken with all the trimmings all for £9.95. Great value for money great service will definitely be returning again

Fabulous array of food to choose from on the Christmas menu... all pre-ordered so ready for us. Fantastic staff that served us from 6:30 until we left at 11:30pm, drinks were flowing and nothing was a problem.

This place was recommended by friends as a good quality eatery in Dyce. Four of us dined here, seated and served promptly (booked a table in advance). Friendly staff. Food arrived reasonably quickly. Soup and haggis starters both recommended. We had fajitas and steak pie for mains, both huge portions and tasty. Seemed a little expensive when the bill came to £90 for 4 people (two courses and one drink each). Would have been 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable.

Went for a meal with my family. This will be the last time it was so bad. Fish and chip how can you get that so wrong. Everyone's fish was over cooked and poor quality fish. Katsu curry must mean something else to there chef. Even the pudding was bad I could go on. We will not be returning.

Wanted to book a table for 7 people at 7 p.m. as we had some youngsters with us......told 7.15 p.m. was the earliest they could take us.....15 minutes didn't make much difference to us so fine........arrived 7.15 to find the place almost empty. Staff friendly and welcoming when we arrived. got menus almost instantly and waited so long to have our orders taken tracked down a waitress to place an order for a double starter just to keep the tummy's from rumbling too much. Finally had our meal order taken and waited quite a while for this to arrive. When the meal was served it was o.k. but nothing to rave about. The time between courses was a bit of a wait. Not as if the restaurant was busy. The food on the whole was o.k. apart from the Caesar salad which tasted of vinegar and not a lot else! The 'steak pie' was more like a carrot stew with a bit of tough meat with a lid of pastry! Over all, a reasonable meal but would not re visit! Sticky toffee pudding was good! Slow service by friendly staff.

Good range of light lunches as well as usual pub favorites. The hotel is in the middle of a light industrial estate and so the resturant is dominated by folks on business lunches, but there was also a families and couples

I hate doing this, but on our last family evening meal here it was dire! There were 8 of us out, we'd pre-booked the table, so they knew it was a large table. It took an absolute age to be served our food, so long in fact that my type 1 diabetic son had 2 hypos... I treated one with the sugary treatment I had with me. A while later and he was hypo again and I had to go and track down a waitress to ask for orange juice - explaining why I needed it, I was offered chocolate which would not be any use whatsoever, I told them I need the OJ right away. I eventually got it, and was told that our food would be with us shortly. It took in total an hour to get our meals... The food was lovely, it's the time taken that spoiled our evening.

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch in the restaurant here - portions were generous and food seemed to be cooked to order, service taking slightly longer as a result.Presentation was good, the scampi & chips served with an accompanying miniature Kilner jar of tartare sauce - far classier than plastic sachets. The skirlie chicken was served with nicely cooked fresh vegetables and a tasty wholegrain whisky sauce.Menu offers a wide choice of dishes.

I was pleased with the service from most of the staff and enjoyed the food. What I was appalled at was the fact I was being served by a woman and her baby!!! I sat in shock while watching her with the baby in one arm and my dessert in the other! Firstly this is very unprofessional and not what I would have expected from a restaurant! Secondly it is very unsafe and unhygienic, babies can drool, have a runny nose and be sick! I was very disappointed by this as it would not be accepted in any other places of work, and I feel this is an issue which needs to be addressed as I was not the only customer who was being served by the both of them!!!!

The Pinehurst is quite handy as it's in Dyce so close to all of the industrial estate so handy for meeting friends after work. The menu is good as there's lots of choice, especially in the burger section - theres definitley something for everyone. I had the canadian burger which was ok - the burger was a bit dry and I would of preferred more brie. The staff were nice and checked often if we needed anything else although no-one came over with the card machine so we had to go up and pay but thats no big deal.

I ate here with some work colleagues while I was on a business trip to Aberdeen. The Pinehurst Lodge is just 5 minutes walk from our office in Pitmedden, which was a definitely plus since we were rather short on time. The inside of this restaurant is very nicely presented, with solid wood tables and lots of pictures on the walls. There is also a cosy bar at one side. We were here for lunch, and I was impressed with the selection on offer. I opted for the battered haddock and chips, and I was not disappointed. All in all, this was a good dining experience, and ideal if you are in the Dyce area of Aberdeen.

Have visited the Pinehurst on number of occasions when we have colleagues visiting from our head office and always have a good meal, this visit was no different. We booked a table for 5:30pm and despite running a little late, they kept our table and we were greeted with a friendly welcome.Once we were all seated, the waitress came over and took our drinks order, which were promptly brought over to our table, we then placed our food order and again there was no long wait. Sizeable portions, well presented and very tasty, enjoyed by all at out table.Received check backs to make sure our food was ok, also for those who had fajitas, were offered additional wraps. All in all a great place for lunch or an evening meal and we will no doubt be back in the future, hopefully on time!

My partner always goes for the maple seseme strips as a main and always says they are delicious i however always go for the steak and ale pie and wow. Steak has always been really tender and vegetables always nice fresh and crunchy. Overall a really great reatraunt and a hidden jem for aberdeen.

We were welcomed into a brightly lit outdoor entrance, which was welcoming as soon as you drive into the car park. When we got in we were swiftly appointed to a table by an attentive waiter, and we were then served efficiently by another smiley young waitress. I came in with my parents, and our drinks came quickly and soon after our starters. I ordered the lemon sole goujons which were amazingly crisp on the outside with beautiful fish inside and was a small but lovely dish. My dad had lentil soup which he enjoyed and my mum also loved her sesame battered chicken fillets and it was the highlight of her meal the chicken was tender and juicy and the batter crisp and sweet. After our starters being taken away promptly after we had finished we ordered more drinks and waited not too long for our mains. My main was chicken goujons which were nice and crisp but I would say slightly overlooked and a bit dry inside, the chips were nice. My dad are all of his haddock and thoroughly enjoyed it, the waitress got our orders spit on even with our slightly complicated requests. My mother had chicken fajitas which she said were lovely and quite spicy in a good way but again the chicken was slightly dry. We then decided to order desserts I had white chocolate and strawberry cheesecake and my mum and dad shared bannoffee pie, our desserts were a slight disappointment although my cheesecake was quite nice, my parents found the bannoffee pie not so good as it was clearly a frozen made desserts and homemade ones would've made a much better impression to go along with our previously excellent courses.Overall I gave this a 4/5 due to excellent service from the waitress and waiters that were keen to help and advise and always made sure their customers were satisfied, our excellent fish and chicken dishes and overall enjoyment, handmade desserts and better cooked chicken would have made this trip excellent for us, prices are fairly adequate although you could say desserts were a bit pricey, the overall look and atmosphere was lovely it was a perfect temperature inside with a neat and welcoming layout, we will definitely be returning to the pinehurst restaurant soon. We did not stay in the hotel but from the outside it looked like a great place to stay.

Not been to the Pinehurst for quite a long time but recently called there for a bite to eat. One of my favourites was on the menu ( salmon teriyaki ) with noodles and Chinese vegetables. As I loathe bamboo shoots, I asked the waitress if these were included in the dish and, if so, could they be left out ? She went off to check with the chef and then assured me that bamboo shoots were not included in the dish. Partner ordered chicken fajitas. The salmon arrived on a bed of noodles, all swimming in soy sauce, with spring onions and BAMBOO SHOOTS! I was gob smacked. No one came back to ask if our meal was ok so I ended up fishing them out and leaving them on the plate. Ruined my meal as anyone who dislikes this particular vegetable knows, they have a distinctive taste which permeated the whole dish. (To be honest, it wouldn't have been a very impressive dish even without them).Husband's chicken fajita dish wasn't much better. So spicey it was barely edible and tasted of absolutely nothing other than "hot". It didn't even look very appetising. My husband loves spicy food but he really struggled with this. I tried a little piece of the chicken and can confirm it was almost painful to eat. Served alongside it were these silly little plastic tubs with sour cream, cheese & salsa. I would expect a hotel restaurant to invest in proper sized little ramekin style dishes ( these plastic things belong in fast food joints and do not contain nearly enough salsa etc to go with the fajitas ) Mind you, an ice bucket might have been more appropriate in this case! Dessert was fine. Staff were pleasant enough, if not terribly attentive. Can't imagine we'll return any time soon which is a shame as it's actually a nice enough place. I feel I should be rating this as "poor" but I'll give it an "average" this time in the hope that whoever is in the kitchen gets their act together .....

Popped in a quick lunch. Ordered two express lunches (soup and sandwich served with salad, coleslaw and crisps. So impressed! The lentil soup was delicious and the sandwiches really fresh with plenty of filling. A substantial and tasty lunch for under £13 for two people along with great service - you can’t go wrong.

UPDATE: SOUL confirmed that I painted at their premices, but refused to pay. Then they blocked me. What a great way to deal with people. Please LET EVERYONE KNOW. I am so didssapointed with them PRESTORY: I’m disappointed to share that despite several attempts to resolve this privately, I have not been paid for my face painting services provided at the Soul Bar Aberdeen + Muchacho event in 2019. While Muchacho has since closed, the event was a collaboration, and neither party has taken responsibility for settling my invoice. As a small business owner, it’s frustrating to have to chase payment for work I completed in good faith.
