Is it ok for a hospitality business not to take any details from customers during this time I think this is very irresponsible and I do hope no one has the virus and just carries on passing it because this business does not care, not one member of staff had a mask on and members of the public could go behind the bar and serve customers if the staff where busy

Great place. Good COVID cleaning protocols. Very nice little outdoor area out back. Delicious sweet treats. Great latte. The service was the best part. They actually cared how you liked the food. Very friendly service. Very attentive

With restaurants closed tonight I decided to try the new takeaway service at Peebles Golf Club. The food was as good as ever and the addition of cocktails fab. I ordered the Pornstar Martini which tasted good but the Gin Sour was something else. All delivered easily to the door. Great night in when you can’t go out. Thanks to staff at Harrys View and the Chief Cocktail maker Joe. I’ll be be next week, Hazel x

Went for a lunch and very nice indeed. Decided on scampi and food came quickly and very generous portions and reasonably priced. Only downside was room was a bit smokey from the kitchen but will definitely be back.

23/12/24 Booked in for the 'Festive Menu' & it was the best Christmas dinner I've had in a long while. Very well presented & tasted absolutely gorgeous! We ate in the bar, all beautifully decorated & a lovely atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly & accommodating. We are new to the area & will definitely be dining here again.

We eat here regularly and have never had a poor meal and tonight was no exception. It was my father-in-laws birthday and we all had different things and we all enjoyed our food. The food, the service and the atmosphere never disappoint. Would definitely recommend.

Every single member of staff that we interacted with were exceptional. It's not a case of going above & beyond, it just seems the norm. Had dinner which was cooked to perfection. Bed was really comfortable although room was a little dated and in need of a bit of tlc. Massive shout out to the barman Cooper & the Ukranian girl who's name I've forgotten. If you are in Kelso & want a great stay from great staff, this is the place for you. Other Hotels would do well to visit here and see how service should be provided.

Visited for lunch. Overpriced food and poor quality . Service was awful and not the fault of the young waiter who unfortunately had just started . Price for lasagne on the specials was extortionate ! Wouldn’t have minded but it was tasteless and I think chef forgot to add the sauce . Curry was tasty but sauce very watery . If the waiting staff had done a check back then would have told them at the time but no check back . We did say to the senior waitress about lasagne when collecting plates and the response was yeah ! . Waitress brought a glass of wine to table but left dirty glasses sitting ? When paying bill and asked if all ok when I said no I was told I should have told them at check back when I said we had no check back young lad who had just started was told off but actually was older lady who served us! Was given a bottle of wine as an apology . Much preferred to have had the uneaten food removed from bill but better than nothing .

When visiting family in Dumfries, we always come here for more than one meal. On a rare occasion where there is an issue, you only have to say and it's sorted with politeness, friendliness and no fuss. That is rare as the food is great. Decent portion size, home cooked, well cooked and fresh. The service is fabulous too, again polite and friendly.

Was heading to Carlisle for a meeting this week and stopped in Moffat. I didn't have long so decided to buy a sandwich and cake. Was served by an extremely rude and badly trained and brash assistant. Customer service certainly wasn't her forte. She must have missed the staff training session, and is absolutely unsuited to the retail sector. Hopefully, the owner will realise this. As for the food, the sandwich was decidedly average, bland and tasteless. To make matters worse I was given the wrong cake which looked somewhat tired. I certainly wouldn't recommend this outlet.
