Friendly staff, scrumptious food and great value!! My husband had the Dirty chips with haggis and cheese melted on top and I had the goats cheese salad. Both were amazing and very filling. I only wish I had room for their cake too!! Gives me a reason to go back again though.

Went for a Mother's Day lunch after my mum had a nice meal there at somepoint before. Unfortunately this lunch was marred by the excessively long time we had to wait for our food to come out after ordering. We had to wait 45 minutes before anyone even bothered to speak to us about the delay. Apparently the special (the venison) they were advertising, they had no idea how to cook. Once the meal came it was passable at best. Venison was very tough. I wouldn't recommend.

Stayed over to break up a journey up to Glasgow and back south of the border. It's a lovely little hotel, clean and with friendly staff. The twin room was huge and the bed comfortable, with a more than adequate bathroom. While the hotel was quiet as it was a Sundaym the bar is nice and welcoming with an excellent range of drinks. The breakfast was good and cooked to order, if I was to say one thing I think the breakfast would benefit from locally sources sausages. All in all a great place and one I'll return to for similar trips in the future.

When visiting family in Dumfries, we always come here for more than one meal. On a rare occasion where there is an issue, you only have to say and it's sorted with politeness, friendliness and no fuss. That is rare as the food is great. Decent portion size, home cooked, well cooked and fresh. The service is fabulous too, again polite and friendly.

We had the hotel breakfast as we were actually on our way to Cairnryan for the ferry. The breakfast was typical Scottish food served and cooked just fine. The hotel experience was very nice with all staff most helpful. One thing to note is that there is no taxi service on Sunday morning before 8:00 a.m. so if you have an early ferry there is no way to get there without a car. Later in the morning there is a bus service to the port area. The port area is about 15 minutes away by bus.

Myself and two friends decided to pop in here for breakfast one morning 2 of us had the big breakfasts and the other had a breakfast roll. The big breakfasts were very large. I personally wasn't keen on the link sausage but that's just personal preference my friend liked there's everything els was exelent. There condaments were in individual sashets and the tomato ketchup wasn't nice all 3 of us agreed on that. The service was exelent. We were handed menus as soon as we sat down. Once we placed our order the drinks arived quickly and our food not long behind it. All in all very good experience just avoid the ketchup

Stopped in Moffat en route to Glasgow on business. Unfortunately,I had the misfortune to be served by an extremely unfriendly and unhelpful sales assistant. This type of person used to be know as a chav. Whoever owns the business needs to be more careful who they hire. The sandwich wasn't even third rate and ended up in the bin. Take my advice give this bakers a miss.

Was excited to support local after moving to the area but when we visited during a Christmas event, a basic mac n cheese was very disappointing, dry and tasted like bread, not cheese. I wouldn't normally leave a bad review but I guess you can't improve if we don't feedback. Pizza was good and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Look forward giving it another chance

Is it ok for a hospitality business not to take any details from customers during this time I think this is very irresponsible and I do hope no one has the virus and just carries on passing it because this business does not care, not one member of staff had a mask on and members of the public could go behind the bar and serve customers if the staff where busy
