We were on a Highlands day tour and stopped for break. My wife and I had fresh baked scones and tea and it was lovely. The owners were welcoming, the place was comfortable, the scones delicious and the tea was proper hot. There's a back patio and the weather was nice so we sat outside to enjoy. Recommended!

This is a place to avoid at all costs! We questioned the bill as we felt we'd been overcharged and instead of getting a polite explanation, we basically got a load of abuse from the manager!!! And if you're looking for good coffee, seriously don't bother going here.

No food on offer other than crisps, ice cream and a meagre offering of cake, shocked as we were there for a 1pm show and had travelled over an hour thinking we would be fine for lunch at the theatre. Staff were fine, no hint of getting things done in a timely fashion and not much interaction with customers. Decor is depressing, such a big space makes it cold and echoey. Just no atmosphere whatsoever. Very disappointed and won't be back.

We ate dinner here whilst staying in a nearby guesthouse. Food was good with a good selection on the menu. It was very busy probably because there isn't a lot of options in the immediate area and the service was average, Prices were very reasonable in comparison to other places we had visited on our trip.

Just popped in here at lunchtime, being 'in holiday' mode visiting Nairn. I asked for a cone of chips and the chap that served me was very pleasant, chatty and polite. The cone was nearly overflowing with chips with plenty of salt & vinegar added. They were freshly made, hot and very tasty. I would highly recommend if you are visiting Nairn. I will definitely go again and next time have the fish & chips - well you are at the seaside :)

Booked this hotel without looking at reviews. Upon arrival, looking at the building was an instant regret. It was only a night. How bad could it be? I went to the reception to be greeted by nobody for about 5 mins. The hotel felt dark damp and eerie as I never came across any other visitors. A man came from downstairs but was not very welcoming. I eventually found my room, going down a dark corridor. The room smelt really bad there were holes in the walls, and the bathroom was tiny. The toilet had poo still up the back of the pan, gross! The bed was very small and uncomfortable. I am 6ft an my legs hanging of the end. Due to the smell and the cleanliness a miss. I had yo check out and book into another hotel.

I disliked how one had to have a timed reservation. The small restaurant section had about 18 dining, so it was not full. The battered haddock was fair. It was accompanied by a generous serving of chips and a small salad. The duo of ice cream was very pleasant. Total cost including a 330ml beer was GBP24.75. Service was slightly pushy but otherwise OK.

This was the annual Falconers Dinner, which has been held for the past 8 years. The dinner was for 20 on a preselected menu and the Catering staff presented a first class three course meal. The restaurant staff were super efficient and served and cleared the tables swiftly and were helpful to any requests. We have always received the warmest of welcomes and the staff have given their full support to ensure that the evening is a success. Overall, I believe this year's dinner was the best so far - no pressure for next year! my sincere thanks to all the team at the Ulbster

The Cobbs restaurant experience was extremely pleasant for us - a family of four with grown up kids. The food was absolutely fresh. Highly recommend the risotto there. The restaurant staff was kind and friendly. The restaurant overlooks the Loch & it stands midway in the drive from Inverness to the visitor centre. It’s a great location and paired with great food and service, makes for an appropriate pit stop. Their whisky menu is absolutely fantastic.
