We had a wonderful diner with perfect plates of local cheese, dried meat and bread served with a perfect wine. Thanks a lot for the perfect diner.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. As others have commented, the staffing appears to be an issue at the restaurant and bar,. However, that being said, the young men working there hustled and provided excellent service. In particular Sean is a wonderful young man who went above and beyond to ensure great service with a ready smile. It is a short walk into Portree down the hill and provided a quiet room for sleep. I can highly recommend the food, the dinner and breakfast were both quite good with a nice menu selection.

Visited with my husband for Easter Sunday lunch. The location is absolutely stunning and the building itself is beautiful. We were greeted by the most warm and friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. The tables were set beautifully with Easter treats and the atmosphere was inviting, showcasing the best of Isle of Skye hospitality. So impressed with the attention to detail. We had main courses (lamb for my husband, chicken for myself) and desserts. The portions were plentiful and every component on the plate was cooked to perfection. The meat was the tastiest we have ever had and everything was so flavourful. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert was to die for! I can’t recommend this place highly enough, absolutely worth a visit. Huge shout out to the chef, definitely the best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had.

Excellent service, lovely staff. Beautiful room, simple, yet very elegant. Comfortable bed. Spotless clean bathroom. It's a shame we didn't have the chance to try the restaurant. Know that Portree is a highly popular town, which means you have to lake sure you book restaurants for dinner. Thank you Chris, for making our stay at the Rosedale lovely. We can't wait to be back!

We had an excellent meal at The Three Chimneys - a real highlight of our trip to Skye. The food was beautifully prepared and full of flavour, with a clear focus on local ingredients and creative presentation. What really stood out was the service. The staff were absolutely delightful - warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about every element of the menu. Their enthusiasm and expertise made the experience feel truly special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in a stunning setting.

We came out of desperation because all the other places on easter Saturday in Portree were booked out. Turned out to be a decent spot, there are quite bright tables in front of the restaurant or booth-like tables at back, where we were sitting. They were a bit darker tho. The service was fast and friendly. The food was also decent, we recommend the mussels (with a positively surprising sauce) and the fish soup - it was great. Other than that fish and chips and salads were good. We havent tried any cocktails but they looked great
