Perfekt, vom Service bis zum Essen und Trinken. Einfach mit dem Personal reden und sie lassen fast alle Wünsche in Erfüllung gehen. Sehr schön „schottisch“. Gerne wieder!

The location was a short walk from our BnB. The premises are classically rustic. The waitstaff were awesome, so friendly and cracking jokes with us. We had the Beef Cheek, Langoustines, and finished it off with sticky toffee pudding. All were perfect. All were complimented with red wine and Talisker whisky.

This was just an all around wonderful experience. We had made reservations in advance, and I'm so glad we did as I saw several groups being turned away. There is a regular menu and then a board with specials. Our server was so knowledgeable and friendly. My son and I both had the seabass, while my wife and daughter shared a steak. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The desserts were also very tasty. All in all it was just a wonderful and welcoming experience.

Food was excellent, two of us had Fish and Chips, and one had seafood stew. We had Cullen Skink soup and it was delicious. We also had sticky toffee pudding to go to eat on the way to Neist Point. Parking was difficult, as everyone parks on the street in front of the restaurant.

Funny story...we were in a hurry leaving Elgol heading for dinner at the Old School Restaurant in Dunvegan. I quickly typed in The Old Schoolhouse into Sat Nav and off we went...to an old school house in Carbost which is not a restaurant! As moments before we were patting ourselves on the back that we would be on time, we called the actual Old School Restaurant and explained our situation. They were busy, but said to hurry there (25 minutes away) and they would seat us if we gave up the table on time. As it was, they were able to give us the table for the full time allotment. The young man who sat us was very animated and made the atmosphere fun. Our dinner was great and the restaurant is quaint. We both had the salmon fillet. Thanks for having us!

Myself and friends ate at The Old School Restaurant on two nights and I can truly say the experience was first class, The food was exceptional and the service from both the restaurant and especially the bar guys and girls was super, we had a great time and the locals in the bar were great, really friendly, If you are in the area I fully recommend The Old School House, First class

Good humoured service even though some of the gags were well worn! A fairly limited choice of dishes all of which were, however, very well cooked. The atmosphere was lively and everything appeared well managed under the watchful eye of a lady we took to be the patron.

The staff couldn't help you enough. Cath and Santiago were extremely accommodating and made a real effort to chat with us despite the restaurant being busy. The food was delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant felt relaxed throughout. Cath would always come around once we finished our mains and asked if we have 'pudding bellies' to which we always had room for pudding! The first nice we spent in the restaurant was that good that we went back for a second night, and once again, we weren't disappointed. We often talk about our experience in the restaurant among friends and would always recommend a visit.

Best pizza in Riomaggiore and so far in Italy. We have been here 8 days and between Florence and Cinque Terre, this was the best pizza. Marcello is a wonderful host, friendly and charming. The Chianti topped off the meal. Lovely views from the outdoor dining section.

Can not say enough great things about this place! Despite being packed and short handed, the service was amazing and friendly. The food was the best I had on my entire trip! I went with the mussels to start and then the beef cheeks and my main and they did not disappoint one bit! Definitely book a reservation, it fills up daily and you are lucky to get take away if you didn’t book! But worth making it a part of your trip

This place is always busy because their food is terrific. Book in advance or you won’t get a seat. Highly recommend the beef cheeks and mashed potatoes. Hot tip: order the food to go, it’s the same amount of food but is 40% cheaper.

We have visited the restaurant many times in our visits to Skye. The food continues to be decent but the restaurant feels like it is stuck in the past. The room is large and noisy and the lighting is not good - it just looks and feels very dated and in need of modernisation or being smartened. As soon as you enter there is a strong smell of food which is a combination of fish and fried food smells. It feels like new ventilation is needed. The service continues to be friendly and helpful and as mentioned above the food was decent.

Food was fine. Cullen skink was nice and beef cheek but the mussels in white wine sauce were really not that tasty and underwhelming. Room was a bit chilly too, though it was blowing a gale outside, so maybe that’s par for the course.

Stayed at the Kinloch Campsite and was told by the owner that there were no pubs in Dunvegan. He was wrong, but sadly only found this on our last night. Admittedly it is a bar attached to the restaurant . It was very cosy, warm and welcoming. Very polite staff. Next time we shall eat here as it looked very popular and menu was good.

My friend and I traveled across the island and decided to stay here for dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and the delicious food. The experience of dining here was a highlight of our journey, adding to the memories of our island adventure.

We were on the island for 2 weeks and this became another of our firm favourites so we became grequent visitors. All the dishes served to us were well presented and full of flavour. If you love seafood the langoustines here are amazing, well all the dishes are. Be sure to book as this place gets full easily and once you have been you will know why. An easy 10 out of 10 for this beautiful place and one I will return to again.

We arrived at 3.30pm, Christmas Day, and warmly welcomed. The food was suberb as always; the Beef Wellington was perfection. A lovely Christmassy ambience too. Staff couldn't have been more friendlier and efficient, so a big thank you to each and every one for making it such a special day.

Lovely surroundings so “old school” loved the open fires very cozy, food was AMAZING service was very quick and staff were extremely pleasant overall was a lovely way to spend our last night in Skye.

We visited on a cold, wet Monday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This is our 4th year visiting the beautiful misty Isle, and needless to say, we absolutely love Skye. The restaurant was welcoming, warm, and relaxed yet totally professional. We had a trio of fish and a blue cheese salad as starter's followed by fish and chips. I realise this doesn't sound overly exciting, but both courses were absolutely amazing. My beautiful wife and I can honestly say we haven't ever had fish and chips that were as good, fresh, and thoroughly enjoyable for many a year. To sum up our amazing experience, we have booked again for later this week and could possibly have the same again. Thank you to all.

Wow. Wir hatten als Vorspeise Haggis, dann die geschmorten Kalbsbäckchen und den Fish Pie und als Nachspeise den Apple Crumble und es war alles wirklich ausgezeichnet. Selten so gut gegessen! Es waren auch alle sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend! Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!

Stayed a couple of nights at the local campsite and ventured in to the lounge the first night for a pint in front of the real fire which was great .Bar staff Dylan very helpful mixing any drinks requested and the locals in the bar great fun. The second night had booked in for food in the restaurant which was delicious couldn’t fault it did feel terrible when due to paying contactless the tech was unable to let me leave a tip ! Won’t make that mistake again when I’m back on Skye cash will be in my pocket: )

A splendid meal. Spacious setting. Excellent service. Everything’s fresh. Seems like one of those places that never has an off day. We started with soup and a blue cheese salad. Then: seafood all around. From fish and chips to the Medley, delicious. A-1.

Visited for dinner during our recent stay on Skye and we were impressed with the quality of the food and the service we received. The restaurant was busy on the Monday evening of our visit, which was a good sign, and we were not disappointed with our choice. We would definitely visit again if in the area.

Remarkable to find this kind of food so far from an urban center. Local seafood fresh and delicious - huge portion of fish and chips; seafood stew with a taste of everything in a rich, delicious sauce; tasty vegetarian orzo with roasted vegetables. Stop in the small pub area before or after dinner for whisky by the wood fire.

I had never tried Cullen Skin until we visited the old School Restaurant in Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye. It's one of the tastiest soups I've ever eaten. I'd go back for this alone although there were lots of other nice items on the menu too
