wonderful food and excellent surroundings with friendly staff. the hotel has recently been upgraded in the lounge and the bar room which is in keeping with the style of hotel give a warm and comfortable feel.

I’ve been lucky to stay at the hotel for 2 nights and opted to eat here for both. Food v v good, fish exceptional, but the star for me was the service which is second to none. Polite, attentive and caring without feeling forced or suffocating. Can’t fault it. Big thanks to Ben for making tonight the perfect night. PS also worth noting that the kippers I had for breakfast were first class.

I realised I have been visiting Scotland and Skye for 20 years this year. Not stayed at Cullin Hills Hotel every year but definitely the last 10 concurrently. We make the effort to stay here especially for the restaurant.if you drive this far north it has to be worth the trip. Every year I worry that I will be disappointed because either the service or food have slipped but thankfully not. Superb friendly service always. The food has been consistently superb every time we visit. Prices have crept up but they have everywhere but you still get decent sized portions not arty looking plates that wouldn't fill a midges belly. Here's to the next 20 years!

Recenty moved to Budhmor and my first experience of dining in my local hotel/restaurant was a very positive experience. Lovely food, service and atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back.

This is an excellent restaurant serving very good food in a dining room with one of the best views in Portree.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The food was so delicious, the view was magnificent, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere perfect!

As I only had a meal here I can only comment on the restaurant not the rooms. I had the Sunday lunch which was competitively priced for 3 courses. It was very tasty, well presented and had perfect portion sizes. All the tables were facing the outstanding view of Portree harbour, the loch and the Cuillin mountains. Or if you wanted to sit outside that also had the same view. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend The View even if you only wanted a coffee. It's a 10 minute walk from the centre of Portree.

Absolutely superb lunch - every course a winner. A most beautiful dining room with amazing views. We like the choice of dishes for Sundau lunch - 3 starters/3 mains/3 desserts. None of this 'starter menus which is so easy for lazy chefs. The cooking is way above some of the highly rated Skye restaurants - I exempt the wonderful Kinloch Lodge which has been impeccable since the 1970's . Cuillin Hills staff are friendly, professional and efficient. The newly updated public areas in the Hotel are very well-designed and welcoming

Called in for a Saturday lunch with my wife. Fantastic setting overlooking Portree Bay and the restaurant had all been recently refurbished very tastefully. Immaculately clean and lovely environment. It was quiet at the time we visited but the service was superb. Adam, our waiter was excellent. Very attentive and accommodating. He did a great job serving us. The food was great- fish and chips fantastic and the ginger sponge pudding with cinnamon ice cream was delicious. Highly recommend as either a place to eat or stay or both when visiting the Isle of Skye. This place is consistently of a very high standard. Well done Adam on doing a top class job !!

What a marvelous experience from the start to the end it is to dine at The View Restaurant. Staff is super friendly giving you the additional flavor of being well received in their beautiful island.
